Cancer - Scorpio

What you like about each other:  Emotional receptivity, Cancer calm and peaceful demeanor in contrast to Scorpio intensity.

What drives you crazy:  Disagreements will be largely low key.  These two will have a very deep, fundamental understanding of one another that causes most of them to be diluted in that sea of emotion they both occupy.

A Scorpion and a Crab will have a very calming effect on one another.  Both have emotions that run deep and while they are different in many respects, they will still find a common link at the emotional level.  They may not even understand each other but they'll accept their differences and each other at face value and let it be.  Neither is going to change, other than the shifting tides of their respective moods, but somehow that is okay with them both.

Scorpios need a lot of nurturing and that is probably why this pairing can work.  They may be full of darkness, but a lot of that probably goes back to some bad experience in their childhood that precluded them from receiving the mothering they needed.  If you think of Darth Vader as the ultimate, power hungry Scorpio and consider his background, it seems to fit.  Provide a safe, non-threatening environment and no telling what could happen.  At least that seems to work for a Cancer woman and Scorpio man. 

The reverse is also true, but with a slightly different twist.  Given the nurturing and caretaking that a female Scorpion requires, she could also settle into an environment where she could thrive.  While she's capable of taking care of herself, she much prefers someone else to do the honors.  Part of it's that 8th House "other people's money" issue.  She may want to work and have a successful career but she doesn't want to HAVE to work.  Of course that is probably true for every female, whether they'll admit it or not, but it's especially true for female Scorpios.  Force them to work and you'll probably get stung by the tail more frequently than you'd like.  Scorpios of either gender are comfortable with allowing the Crab to run the everyday workings of a home.  Since this is something that Crabs enjoy, the mutual benefits are obvious. 

So all in all this couple can find numerous synergistic behaviors and inclinations in the other that can make this a long, enduring and satisfying relationship.
