What you like about each other: Pisces appreciates Virgo sense of order and practical nature. Virgo feels comfortable with Pisces warmth and dreamy attitude, which offers a break from the Virgo world of perfection.
What drives you crazy: If Virgo is too obsessive about order or too critical, the sensitive fish will react emotionally and quickly get outside of Virgo's comfort zone.
These opposing signs, like all others, tend to
retreat behaviorally into the other's world when stressed or unhappy.
In other words, the Fish can become obsessed with order in an attempt to anchor
themselves to something and Virg can simply let go and tread water when
overwhelmed with the demands of being perfect. Fish, like the pond they
live in, can reflect the landscape around them quite well. As a
Mutable sign they adapt well and are
not overly resistant to change. They're generally peace loving and
unlikely to make waves, other than emotional ones. Their
ruling planet, Neptune, oversees
illusion, fantasy and imagination, giving the Fish a different view of reality
than others. As residents of the
12th House of the subconscious,
Virgos are practical, almost to a fault, but of course they don't have any because they're the Zodiac's self-proclaimed perfectionists. And that's a heavy load to bear. Ruled by Mercury, they're strong communicators and organizers, but are most frequently known for their incredible eye for detail. Now you would think that when they turn that critical eye on a Fish in its nice, comfortable pond that the first thing they would see would be the algae and mosquito larvae living in there. And truly they could. But it's more likely that they'll find the fact that water defracts light differently than air very comfortable, decide it's too much trouble to try and focus on all that foreign matter and just go in for a swim and for at least a short period of time, escape that harsh, cold, methodical world of detail where they spend most of their time.
In other words, these two can be very good for each other. Virg needs to be careful not to be overly critical of his pet Fish because it can do deep, emotional damage. However, the fact that Virg is really much more sensitive than s/he's willing to admit is probably the keystone to the relationship. Earth signs don't show emotion very much but don't think it's not there. And when a Virgo has hurt feelings, the world ain't gonna like it much. A grumpy Virgo is not a pretty sight, at home or at work. Being masters of detail they can find more things to gripe about than you even know exist. But there's something about the Fish's world that attracts Virg, probably because it's the House opposite his own that beckons when he needs to escape. His world revolves around work with health and pets also covered by the natural 6th House. So that world of fantasy and such is quite appealing, much like a mini trip to the Magic Kingdom. Chances are that Virg will be so comfortable down in that fish tank that he'll even let his Fish in on some of his little, untidy secrets. Like his favorite websites. One of which is www.fart.com. He's really not as perfect as the world may think.
