01-01-2008 Tuesday	Happy New Year and may 2008 bring many good things your way. No matter how bad your transits may be and how challenging life may become, the Zodiac is the ultimate example of "what goes around, comes around" and that events continually cycle. Neither extremely good times nor bad last forever. Right now that Mars - Pluto opposition could mean some bad times for some folks, particularly Taurus, Scorpio, Capricorn and Cancer, who are being hit in the possessions or health houses. Everyone should keep an eye out, however, meaning you should be careful and don't take any unnecessary chances. Be on the lookout for other annoyances, such has unexpected expenses that you may have forgotten or encountering totally inaccurate information. If today is a holiday for you, feel free to blow it all off and relax, then brace yourself for another new year.
01-02-2008 Wednesday	Those annoyances noted yesterday are still out there, i.e. the potential for an unhappy financial surprise and high likelihood for inaccurate information that causes a problem or two. If you've been more irritable than usual lately you can blame retrograde Mars, whose current task is to stir up suppressed anger you've been toting around for a while. See your January horoscope for the specific area it's targeting on you. Saturn is retrograde out there as well, having made the switch right before Christmas, and is busily kneading away on something you need to be working on, probably your checkbook and budgeting habits. The Moon is in Scorpio today, which is more likely to motivate you to apply for a loan or another credit card, especially one of those that's interest free for balance transfers, rather than tighten your belt. Saturn and that Capricorn Sun are putting up a pretty good fight, however, trying to make us all more responsible.
01-03-2008 Thursday	Don't pay too much attention to your emotions today as they're probably not based on anything substantial. Whatever you do, don't use them as the basis for a big decision because you're likely to feel entirely different tomorrow. If you've encountered an increase in responsibility lately, especially if it requires you to work longer hours, you can bet that's going to go over like the proverbial lead balloon with your significant other. Saturn and the Capricorn Sun are still working on us to take our obligations more seriously. If you're already a workaholic, you probably won't notice. If your an avowed slacker, it will probably take an extra beer or two to squelch the guilt. Don't forget to be careful while that Mars - Pluto opposition continues. It's never good when those two bad actors get together, so stay alert and don't do anything careless or it will surely bite you.
01-04-2008 Friday	There may be an opportunity or surprise of some sort today that will be to your benefit. Look beyond the obvious and pay attention to what you find. Mars and Pluto are still facing out and generally putting us all in a rather unpleasant mood, considering we're just coming out of the holidays. That suppressed anger keeps leaking out and I imagine you're doing some thinking about what to do about it. Go ahead and vent, preferably to a neutral party, so whatever action you take isn't too emotional. If you've truly been wronged, there will be an appropriate way to handle it without acting like either a martyr or a jerk. It's time to start getting your finances in order for the tax man and Saturn and Venus are actually being helpful in this regard. We all say we'll do better with our recordkeeping next year. Well, guess what? It's next year.
01-05-2008 Saturday	An increase in your level of responsibility, such as in a promotion or raise, is probably on your mind. There are pros and cons, of course, and with Saturn retrograde it's likely that your subconscious is ruminating on just that. If it's motivated strictly by finances, be sure to give it a lot of thought whether the extra time and stress will be worth it versus another solution. You head and heart are likely to be a bit at odds with each other today, which won't help the matter. Rebellion against the status quo or wanting change for the sake of change is likely around lunch time. Blame that one on the Moon, which fortunately moves on its way quickly. 01-06-2008 Sunday	As if Mars isn't causing enough trouble these days while he's in cahoots with Pluto, today the Moon is passing through that general territory as well. Mars is also retrograde, which tends to stir up suppressed anger. Combine this with the Moon, which controls our emotions, and Pluto in the mix as well, who does forensic analyses on our past among other things, and you're likely to have an interesting day. Random thoughts or feelings will probably come seemingly from no where and take you on an emotional roller coaster ride of some degree or another. We're almost a week into the new year. How are those New Years resolutions coming along? The Sun is in favorable aspect with Uranus, planet of change, today, which will be a little extra help in making some positive, personal change. Take advantage of it while it lasts.
1-07-2008 Monday	There's quite a convention in progress in Capricorn, as we move toward a New Moon tomorrow. This influence will tend to make us more serious and responsible, if we take advantage of it and don't blow it off. The opportunity for personal change is still out there, so it's still not too late to commit to some New Years Resolutions. You may encounter some annoyance or nuisances of kind today when it comes to trying to get your point across to someone who may be on a power trip. Try to keep your temper, though it might be a bit difficult. Just tell yourself that you'll be the better person and be logical. Obligations may get in the way of what you really want to do today, but it will be more emotionally satisfying than you realize if you just suck it up and do what you need to do.
1-08-2008 Tuesday	The petty annoyances are still out there, with at least some of them of an emotional nature, more than likely a smudge or two on those rose-colored glasses. Tangling with people on power trips is still likely as well. An increase in your responsibilities or obligations is likely, but they're likely to be good ones, even though they could stir up a few conflicts with your significant other. If you're working on a creative project of some sort, your sense of innovation should be ramped up a bit so take advantage of it in any way that you can. Mars and Pluto are still facing off, the suppressed anger still brewing. It's likely to be very logical in nature, perhaps related to a legal matter, academia, or travel woes. Be aware that these vibes are not in your favor, so don't do anything to make them worse.
1-09-2008 Wednesday	Continue to be diligent about not taking any chances while Mars and Pluto continue to duke it out until the end of the month. I don't like to nag about this on a daily basis, but it's in your best interest to give these two bad actors the respect they deserve. A change of heart about something in your life is likely over the next few days. This may be motivated by your responsibilities in some way, which may be expanding, and while you may not be overjoyed about it at first, the end result is likely to be in your favor. You may be affected more emotionally about all this than usual, but this should quickly pass as the Moon moves on her way in her usual expeditious manner.
1-10-2008 Thursday	A whole bunch of little annoyances are likely today, that may go along with that change of heart noted yesterday. This are likely to relate to some news being exaggerated that gets you all fired up, some possible interference between your common sense and your dreams, and a surge of emotions that tells you some changes are in order. Saturn is out there messing with our responsibilities and obligations, but this is not always a bad thing. It is through this area of our life that we find stability so if we listen carefully to this stern taskmaster, the ultimate result will be in your favor.
1-11-2008 Friday	The Moon is running interference today on the Mars - Pluto duel, so whatever those two are doing to you these days, you're likely to get some sympathy, good advice, or some chicken soup from your mother or mother figure at least. Those necessary changes, that may have been quite unexpected, are still nagging at you as well as those other annoyances that may or may not be related. Saturn is definitely ragging on our responsibilities these days, which combined with the Sun in Capricorn, will definitely be felt in whatever your particular area of emphasis happens to be. No doubt you're feeling the crack of the taskmaster's whip somewhere in your life. Your best bet is to listen up.
1-12-2008 Saturday	It has to make you wonder just a bit when the transit chart for the day has a big, red "X" across the middle. Kinda makes you think it might be a good idea to just stay in bed, which the fact it's Saturday may just make possible. The good news is that the Moon is party to all this and moves quickly enough that by early afternoon it will have passed. Changes to our finances are probably underway, probably because those Christmas shopping bills are starting to roll in. The good news out there continues to be an increase in your responsibilities in some form or another. As you can imagine, that has any number of interpretations, but since it's a nice, friendly trine, it should be favorable. An adjustment in how you think about them may be required, however, which could cause an emotional blip or two, that blip being the second half of that big, red "X". Of course the parties forming the other one are Mars and Pluto, who are still going at it across the Zodiac.
