March Horoscope

Today's Forecast

March 21st is the Spring Equinox, which means the days will start to get longer and Spring officially begins. Both the Full Moon on the 14th and the New Moon on the 29th are eclipses, which give them a little additional astrological punch, particularly if they land on one of your Natal or Progressed planets or make an exact or nearly-so aspect to one of them.  Mercury goes retrograde on March 3-25, which will be felt by Virgo and Gemini the most but since it affects all things mechanical and electronic, everyone is going to notice more computer crashes, erratic drivers and all sorts of communication-related faux pas.  Jupiter goes retrograde on March 5 until July 5, which affect Sagittarius the most, and Pluto, which rules Scorpio, goes retrograde on March 30 until September 4. I know you don’t like it, but the planets have a mind of their own and all I can do is warn you. If you haven’t gotten your taxes together yet, the sooner you do so the better. Especially make an effort to get them done before Pluto goes retrograde and if Mercury is retro when you do them, check them over for errors multiple times and don’t be surprised if any refunds submitted after that time take longer than usual.

The month begins with a cluster of planets in Pisces, namely the Sun, Moon, Uranus and Mercury. On March 1st the Sun and Uranus will be conjoined in close orb and so will Mercury and the Moon. If March 1 is your birthday this will have interesting implications for your Solar Return Chart, particularly the Sun-Uranus aspect which could mean significant changes and unexpected events for the entire year. For Fish born on either side of this event there will also be changes, some of long duration, and expect communications often to be of an emotional nature.

Those born February 20 – March 12 give or take a few days might find themselves acting a little more aggressive than usual thanks to Mars in Gemini. If you have a Gemini Moon or Ascendant in your Natal chart, this will have some additional punch, so be prepared to guard your temper and not overreact. Those born around March 6 – 12 should see some lucky breaks from Jupiter in Scorpio, except it goes retrograde on the 5th, possibly unearthing ethics issues of some sort.

For Fish born between March 15- 20 Venus will be throwing some good vibes your way that could reflect well on your relationships generally, your creative projects or work environment. Expect some positive attention in these areas and enjoy it while it lasts. Unfortunately for these same folks, Pluto might be stirring up some old baggage, causing power struggles or various other obsessions that Pluto does so well, especially with it in square with that Full Moon/eclipse on the 14th. On top of that, it goes retrograde on the 30th, making this situation even worse, particularly if it’s making an exact aspect to one of your Natal or Progressed planets or an angular cusp. However, it is sextile Venus, which might soften it a bit.

The Sun enters Aries just after noon (CST) on March 20, forming a Grand Fire Trine with Saturn and the Moon. This, again, will have interesting implications for the next year for folks with a Solar Return on that day. Mars in Gemini is sextile the Sun sometime during the month for Rams born March 20- April 11, which should enhance some of that natural energy. Just make sure it’s directed in a positive manner. For Rams born in March, retrograde Saturn is Trine your Sun, which may give you a bit more concentration where difficult projects are concerned, particularly delightful chores like getting your taxes together. Since it’s in the Natural 5th House, it could also relate to your children, love life or creative efforts. Pluto in Sagittarius is Trining the Sun for Aries born April 12-20. This should help flush out some knowledge or understanding about something previously hidden that should help in some area of your life. With Pluto in the Natural 9th House this could reflect on legal matters of some sort, Academia or relative to foreign travel or interests. Aries born between April 9 – 18 will have a nice sextile pattern between Venus, Mars and your Natal Sun around the end of the month, which might assist with any relationship or partnership issues you’ve been dealing with, particularly if the Solar Eclipse/New Moon aspects your chart as well. Expect your intuition to be sharpened a bit also, thanks to Neptune, but still check the facts since sometimes Neptune can fog the truth.

Jupiter is still in Scorpio, opposite Taurus, which is probably throwing some good luck, especially toward Bulls born around May 2 - 12. Mercury and Uranus may throw a surprise or two your way, perhaps of a psychological nature, but it should be a positive insight. The bad news is that Saturn is not exactly your friend right now and the fact it’s still retrograde could bring further delays or challenges, possibly in your love life, with your children or if you have some personal project in work you’re trying to get off the ground.

Gemini Twins have Mars transiting your sign all month. This should throw some energy your way and perhaps a little extra determination to get on with something you’ve been putting off. Saturn could give you a bit more perseverance in this area, also, or perhaps in dealing with kids, your significant other or personal projects. All Twins can expect some disruption from the Uranus – Mercury encounter to occur this month that probably won’t be to your liking, especially since Mercury will be going retrograde most of the month. This could be anything from something biting you from your past to Internet or car problems, but expect something annoying since Mercury is your ruling planet and you will feel this more than others, except Virgo who shares an Mercury as their ruler as well. Pluto could be messing with you, also, particularly those born around June 18, and digging up all sorts of old issues that could be complicating your life right now. It’s best to confront it and get it resolved, unpleasant though it may be.

Cancer the Crabs born around the second week or so of July can expect good luck courtesy of Jupiter and it should last for a while since this outer planet moves fairly slowly. The Sun is also Trine your Natal Sun at sometime or another this month, which should also provide some positive attention for you. You may have to make an important decision relative to work. Make sure you have all the facts before you do so, even if your intuition seems strong. The Mercury – Uranus conjunction late in the month may bring some surprise, but it will probably be of a pleasant nature, but be on guard since Mercury is retrograde from March 3-25.

Leo the Lion has Saturn transiting their sign and it’s retrograde until April 5. Those born between July 23 – 31 are most affected and they’re probably growing weary of some of the delays and other difficulties they’ve been seeing lately. Saturn rules community or authority issues that affect your reputation or it may be some other responsibility that has been more demanding than usual. It could also relate to Natural 5th House issues such as kids, your love life or creative projects. The Sun is moving in the right direction for you, however, and in the next month you should see some positive progress. Venus and Neptune are out there in what may be a less than optimal position, but Venus is seldom really bad, though you might have some second or new thoughts about your career or love life that you need to make sure are accurate. Neptune can increase your intuition, but if it’s in negative aspect to your Natal Chart it can also set you up for delusion, so make sure you have all the facts and are seeing things clearly.

Virgos need to be a little extra careful this month. This is usually not difficult for the meticulous folks, but make sure you keep risks to a minimum since this is Solar Opposition time for you, which often makes accidents and other unfortunate events slightly more likely. With Uranus and a retrograde Mercury out there, too, please watch your step as well as any other activities. Since Mercury is your ruling planet, this hits you and Gemini a bit harder than others. The Full Moon/Eclipse is in your sign, also, so be particularly alert around March 14. Jupiter is your friend, however, especially those of you with birthdays the first week of September. Those born around the middle of September may be having a few struggles with bureaucratic, school or legal issues thanks to Pluto. It’s about to go retrograde on March 30 and last until September 4, so brace yourself for a bit of a long haul. If this is coincident with a key area of your Chart you will find yourself really obsessing about something and not particularly enjoy what is coming to light, but once you get past it you will be significantly wiser.

While Pluto is causing some real annoyances for others, Libra is in a fairly good position right now and this planet of obsessions and power trips may actually be useful, at least for those born around October 14- 18. This could open new doors for you regarding opportunities in perhaps higher education or even foreign interests of some kind. Your ruling planet, Venus, starts out the month in a rather challenging place in Capricorn, but luckily she moves quickly enough to be in a friendly configuration by the end of the month, so any job or love life issues that come up during the month should have a positive resolution. Saturn is also about as friendly as it ever gets and may give you a little extra perseverance resolving an issue with your kids, love life, personal projects or maybe just getting your tax data together. Mars should give you a little extra energy and drive, also. The New Moon/Solar Eclipse on March 29 will be opposite the Natal Sun for those born the last week of September. This could usher in some new phase for you or opportunity to shine, so be on the lookout.

Scorpio is still fortunate enough to have Jupiter strolling through your sign, which should have made the past few months quite outstanding. If you haven’t seen those effects yet, it’s just moving into range for those born between November 5-7, so keep your eyes open for opportunities and good fortune. Your ruling planet, Pluto, is also in positive aspect for you right now and could assist with any bureaucratic issues or authority figures you may need to deal with. Pluto moves very slowly, so this will be in force for quite a while. Venus starts out the month in positive configuration but by the end of the month won’t be so favorable, so expect something at work or in your love life to present a blip or speed bump of some sort, but probably nothing serious. Neptune may be messing with you a bit, also, so don’t entirely trust your intuition. It’s usually quite sound, I know, but in this case you might not have all the facts, overlook something, or take something for granted that will bite you later. So read the fine print and double check that tax return. Nonetheless, there may be something unexpected toward the end of the month that will be to your liking.

Capricorn, oh, Capricorn, wherefore art thou, Capricorn? Unfortunately, Venus is about to leave your sign and move on, but take comfort in the fact that you age better than any of the other signs and will always have an edge because of it. That Sun – Uranus conjunction early in the month may bring you some pleasant surprise, especially for those born around the first few days of January. Jupiter is in a favorable place, also, which may throw a bit of luck your way as well. Your ruling planet, Saturn, will be retrograde a little bit longer, until April 5, but after that you can expect those things that have seemed to be stuck in the mud to finally move forward, or at least toward resolution. Specifically these issues could be related to your love life, children or creative projects, or even all of them.

Aquarius will gain by Capricorn’s loss when Venus moves into your sign this month. Expect most folks to be more favorably disposed toward you than usual. You might also want to go shopping, change your appearance in some way or fix up your place during this transit, which is usually a pleasant one. Mars is in Trine most the month, also, which should give you a bit more energy and drive than usual, also. Saturn is still out there being a nuisance, however, and this will continue for a little while longer (April 5). This could be the cause of disruptions or delays with issues related to your children, love life or personal projects the past several months. Hang in there, things should improve, at least a little bit, soon.
