This is your month, Cancer, as the Sun
transits your Sign. This will bring a significant amount of attention your
way as well as begin a new solar cycle for you.
Mercury is
retrograde (RX) until
the 10th, at which time your communications will improve; chances are high that
you've gotten quite a few "deer in the headlight" looks between June 16 and July
10th. Expressing yourself at this time is usually more difficult than
usual and misperceptions are common. Believe it or not, Mercury RX is good
for something, however. Moving forward is usually futile at best and
downright frustrating at worst, but rethinking something or perhaps simply some
deep introspection is usually quite productive. We all need to slow down
and possibly back up from time to time and good ol' Mercury gives us this
opportunity a few times every year. If your birthday falls before July
10th, you need to bear this in mind for the entire year. In other words,
don't expect to make a lot of progress in the coming year, but use it instead to
reassess where you are with your life, rework plans and aspirations, and work
specifically at communicating in a clear, concise and logical manner. Your
emotions run deep, and while this is a good thing, bear in mind that not
everyone is as sentimental as you can be, so if you communicate with too much
feeling it could be perceived in a negative manner. Emotional manipulation
may be effective, but it often builds resentment, so this would be a good time
to overhaul some of your methods to a more thoughtful approach. You'll probably be a bit more indulgent than usual for most of this month thanks to Venus passing through your Natural 2nd House of possessions. You may be tempted to either buy something you'd ordinarily not consider or get a higher grade of merchandise than usual. In other words, you'll be much more likely to think, "What the heck?" and go ahead and get the fancier model of whatever it might be. If that purchase is something mechanical or electronic, such as a car, electrical appliance or computer, be sure you don't buy it until after the 10th or be prepared to have a lemon on your hands. This is because anything you acquire while Mercury is RX is likely to have that curse on it for as long as you own it. Knowing that your wardrobe is probably fairly austere, now is an outstanding time to remedy that. Indulge yourself in something colorful rather than your usual subdued colors and watch the compliments roll in. You also might treat yourself to a massage or some other little (or possibly big) pleasure or comfort. Be careful that you don't overindulge in food and drink this month or you might find yourself packing around a few extra pounds. With Jupiter retrograde in your Natural 6th House, work issues continue to rumble above and beneath the surface of your mind. Decisions may be in the offing, such as whether you're in the right line of work or should possibly report something you've observed that you don't like. Pluto, who's in the same neighborhood, will see to it that if there's anything going on behind the scenes that's the slightest bit off-key that you'll stumble upon it and undergo a lot of introspection as a result. Health issues are also possible at this time, perhaps even as a result of increased stress on the job, so pay attention to your diet and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Spend some time at the pool or taking walks in a park, which will give you time to think, be a pleasant break and give you some exercise as well. Before borrowing money or making any investments (financial or personal), make sure you have all the facts and have scrutinized them carefully. On the positive side you may be more inspired than usual in these areas, but make sure any brainstorms are well-founded and not just wishful thinking. Neptune is camped out and also retrograde in your Natural 8th House and his influence ranges from delusion to inspiration. It may also be time to consider paying off a loan or adjusting an intimate relationship in some way. Restlessness is also possible, perhaps because you haven't been seeing things as they really are. You might want to talk to one of your Earth Sign friends (Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn) who could probably help you see a more practical side of the issue. Changes, unexpected events or surprises are still likely relative to 9th House matters such as long distance travel, legal issues, higher education or religion. This is a long-term aspect that will be in force for a long time. In this case, Uranus is responsible as the planet who generates such things, especially when he's retrograde. If your birthday is on or within a few days of July 10, you may see some action in this area this month, but the good news is that it's likely to be positive in nature. Mars is generating a lot of energy in your Natural 11th House of groups, organizations, friends, hopes and wishes. Make sure that you're not too pushy or aggressive in your interactions in these areas or you may live to regret it later, at least as far as people are concerned. On the positive side, it's an excellent time to throw some concerted energy toward defining or achieving you heart's desire. Opportunities are likely, so be alert and don't be shy pursuing them as they arise. All in all this should be an interesting and generally pleasant month. It's no coincidence that the 4th of July holiday is associated largely with family picnics and sentimental activities that involve our home environment in one way or another. This is because as the Universal 4th House Cancer covers your home, traditions, family interactions, and upbringing. Thus, when the Sun is in your sign people everywhere are more susceptible to these activities. Enjoy them as you always do as well as give some thought to the months ahead and where you hope to be a year from now. |
