This couple represents a lot of diversity, another one of those that hails from signs that are neighbors yet light-years apart.  They represent different modes, elements and polarities to say nothing of ruling planets.  How different can you be when one is ruled by the Sun and the other the Moon?  True, they're both luminaries and rather different from the conventional planets that rotate the Sun.  Hmmmmm.  Let's think about that for a moment.  ALL the planets rotate directly around the Sun except the Moon, which rotates around the Earth.  So the Moon is the one heavenly body astrologically speaking that does not pay homage to the Sun, at least not directly. 

The Crab is a different animal and knows it.  The Moon travels through the Zodiac once every month so covers a lot more ground than the others.  That is where all those different moods come from.  When your ruling planet is in a certain sign and house you're going to feel it and when it only stays there for a few days before moving on, the different effects roll across you like the tides.  Gratefully, it's a water sign so going with the flow comes easily.

The Lion is likewise different and also knows it.  With a ruling planet that dominates the sky and makes all others invisible during its daily reign to say nothing of the fact they revolve around it, it's pretty easy to tell who's royalty and who's not.  Except for the Moon, which can also be seen in the sky during the day, though its light can be occulted by clouds.

So none of this information is new since we've observed the Sun and Moon our entire lives, yet it somehow explains how these two very different individuals can work out a relationship.  Each has a strong sense of who they are, their importance and have a much more important place in everyone's chart than the others.  Personal planets include the Sun, Moon, and the rulers of our Sun Sign and Ascendant.  That spreads a lot of energy about on most people's charts, but a Leo or Crab cut that down by one.  They are luminaries and they know who they are.  This inherent self-esteem allows them to respect one another in spite of their differences and often build a very satisfying relationship.  The Crab respects Leo's ego and Leo respects the Crab's moods.  With a foundation like that, differences no longer matter and a couple can concentrate on the things that do.
