April Horoscope

Aries - This month starts out with the Sun alone in Aries, giving Rams a bit of a rest after the past few weeks.  Saturn is out there reminding you of your numerous responsibilities at home, however, which is probably frustrating you no end.  Aries like to be in charge and use a strong hand or head butt to maintain it, but this is often ineffective for domestic issues.  Your ruling planet, Mars, should be of some help figuring it out, but make sure you don't continue to depend on sheer will and power to run things.  You'll especially be inclined to resort to these tactics when Mars and Pluto face off during the first week of the month.  However, your communication with your partner should be relatively good so be sure and listen and use your head (sans horns) to come up with solutions everyone can buy into.  Saturn goes posigrade April 4, which will also help get things back on track. 

You may have to give up something you are quite attached to before you can move on and progress to the next level.  This could be an idea, your pride, or even some plan that is no longer working out as expected.  Your solution is probably a bit more philosophical than you'd usually employ, but if you'll give it a chance you'll be reasonably pleased with the result.  Those somewhat surprising revelations you've been having lately should taper off soon as Mercury moves away from Uranus.  (Don't even go there.)  You still may not be seeing your friends and coworkers clearly.  Take off those blinders and take a good, hard look to make sure they're not using you.  Mercury moves into your sign on the 16th, which should make communicating even easier until the end of the month.  Your thoughts will be clearer, you'll express them better than usual and people will listen up for a change.  If you have something important you want to get across, if it can wait until then, do so.

The Full Moon in your polar sign, Libra, on the 13th will be felt in the relationship area.  That Mars/Pluto/Mercury T-square at that time will provoke some deep thinking about your philosophy of life and what you really want/need.  You may need to work at being realistic, however, because that Moon-Neptune trine with an extra boost from Jupiter is likely to inject a fair amount of idealism in the equation.  The New Moon on the 27th could bring an interesting encounter, possibly at work.  Watch your back and continue with those thoughts you put together during the Full Moon regarding what life style you really need to be happy.

Taurus - The Sun moves into your sign on the 20th so your Solar Return is on its way.  (When the Sun is in the exact position it was when you were born, those transits for that snapshot in time say a lot about what this coming year will bring for you.  That's what our Solar Return Report is all about.)  Your powers of concentration have been strong and your usual perseverance even stronger than usual lately.  You're feeling good about yourself and various lucky breaks are coming your way, especially for Bulls born the first week or so of May.  Your friends will keep surprising you with all sorts of news and interesting ideas in the next few days so expect more phone calls, emails and text messages than usual.  Don't believe everything you hear and even if you feel lucky don't buy into anything without giving it your usual Earth-sign perusal.  The best place for that nice chunk of money you have stashed away is in your competent hands, not someone else's.  Just let them know who's in charge and you'll be fine.  That Full Moon on the 13th  might trigger an incident at work that gives you something to think about regarding the games people play.  The New Moon on the 27th is in your sign so expect to get a little extra incentive to make a few over-due changes to start your solar year out right.

Gemini - If your birthday is around the middle of June you've probably been experiencing a lot of borderline obsessive thoughts lately about who and what you are and the relationships in your life, past, present and possibly future.  You can blame that on Pluto, who goes around digging up the past and forcing you to look at it until you want to tell that god of the underworld to go straight back to hell instead of bringing it to your front (or maybe back) door.  You're changing your view of yourself and your life almost daily and wondering where to go next.  Try to be as objective as possible and sort things out the best you can, then trust the universe to show you which direction is right.  Your career is possibly in some sort of flux right now and you may have to justify your existence or remind the powers that be in some awe-inspiring way how lucky they are to have you.   On the other hand, be sure to think hard about whether this is really what you want to do for the rest of your life or whether you ought to figure out where you want to be in a few years and then take the proper steps in that direction.  If you've ever dreamed of getting that college degree or going to Europe, there's no better time than the present to start thinking about it seriously.  The Full Moon on the 13th and the Mars/Mercury/Pluto T-square that comes along with it may throw some emphasis on a romantic relationship.  That T-square isn't particularly friendly, however, and will most likely make you a bit forceful so be careful what you say or you may have a lot of damage control to do later.  The New Moon on the 27th will provide another nudge in that general direction.  Hopefully you won't be sitting there all alone wondering if that quiet house or apartment is really what you want.  All that aside, if you played your cards right early in the month at work you may receive some extra recognition that gives you a boost in that area of your life, at least.

Cancer - Mars moves into your sign on the 14th, which should give you a burst of energy and ambition.  Now is probably a good time to start that new hobby or other creative project you've been putting off or finally taking the time to do something with the kids, if you have any.  Thanks to Pluto, things at work have probably been pretty messed up for longer than you care to remember.  Some people are sneaking around and up to no good while others are on an overt power trip.  Meanwhile, you're just trying to do your work and avoid being dragged into all the in-fighting.   If anyone is trying to get you interested in some get-rich-quick scheme make sure you look at it long and hard before jumping onboard.  More than likely it's not what you need at all.  All these events are probably making you consider that maybe it's time to rethink where you are and what you're doing and check into some sort of sabbatical, either to go to school for that degree or that trip abroad.  If you decide to take the plunge and either apply to school or buy tickets, do it early in the month before Mercury starts squaring your Sun and messes up your ability to communicate properly.  The Full Moon on the 13th will throw even more light on all this with that Mars/Mercury/Pluto T-square possibly triggering a lively discussion with your partner about all of the above and where you're heading.  The New Moon on the 27th will more than likely relate to work in some way, perhaps giving you the data you need to reach the decision you've been searching for.

Leo - You've been getting more and more serious lately about your life and where it's headed thanks to Saturn chugging along through your sign.  With typical Leonine enthusiasm, however, you'll take that nudge and run with it, which will be even easier after the 4th when it quits that retrograde crap.  Mars will be giving you an extra boost of energy while the transiting Sun gives you a friendly gaze at first that could become a glare by the end of the month.  You're a creative type and maybe your day to day routine doesn't exercise that creativity as much as it should to keep you happy.  Maybe you have a hobby or other activity you could get paid to do.  It would take a lot of work but when it's something you love, that's never bothered you before.  Furthermore,  Venus is in a favorable position for you to find someone to help out as an investor.  Thanks to Neptune and Venus you've been more dreamy and romantic than usual lately, too, so be sure to factor your relationships into your plans and don't forget to consider how your decisions may affect the others in your life.  The Full Moon on the 13th will help you focus on what you really want and that Mars/Mercury/Pluto T-square may give you the drive and incentive you need to pursue it.  That New Moon on the 27th is squaring your Sun if you were born between July 24 - August 3 or so and may bring you closer to a decision relative to that job or career change and any change in income it may cause.  Remember that New Moons are new beginnings so don't discount anything before you explore all the possibilities relative to making your final decision.

Virgo - Seems like your luck has improved a bit lately, thanks to Jupiter over there in Scorpio who's helping you come up with some pretty good ideas.  From around the middle of the month on, Mars will give you a boost of energy and clarify your thinking, which should also help you figure out what you need to be doing.  Your domestic situation needs improvement in one way or another, whether it's improving a relationship, cleaning up the yard or getting your finances straightened out.    Work is going fairly well, but make sure you're not missing something.  That eye you have for details should be sharper than usual with that Mars boost, so take a good hard look at how you can do things a bit better for your own satisfaction as well as some extra visibility.  Your relationships may hold a surprise or two this month, perhaps revealing a viewpoint your partner had that you'd never thought about much before.  The first week of the month is a good time for a romantic evening that you both need so be sure to work it into your busy schedules.  The Full Moon on the 13th will motivate some thought and perhaps some lively discussion about your home environment thanks to that Mars/Mercury/Pluto T-square.  It could relate to whether or not one of you can afford to quit work to pursue some other path, whether it's going back to school or staying home with the kids.  The New Moon on the 27th will emphasize these same areas but with more emphasis on what you really want to do.  If you want to go back to school, now is not too soon to start registering for fall.

Scorpio -  Jupiter is chugging along in your sign and has been for a few months now.  This is a good thing since Jupiter is a benefic planet that is known for bringing good luck.  It may not seem like you're having good luck, however, because Pluto, your ruling planet, has probably been messing with you as well.  If you've had more things break down lately, especially things that either no one is able to fix, at least the first time, or are so far gone that it's not worth repairing, then you can blame Pluto.  Neptune and Venus have probably been motivating you to do some redecorating around the home, if you haven't already, and most likely you've had some really cool ideas on what you want to do, thanks to Uranus inspiring your creativity.  More than likely you've had at least a small windfall lately, perhaps your income tax return, a bonus, raise or maybe even a new job.  Your sex life lately probably hasn't been too bad, either, which may be helping work off the frustration various friends or relatives may be causing.  If an nagging sense of responsibility seems to keep surfacing, that is more than likely Saturn, but this will reflect in your work in a positive way that others will definitely notice, especially once it goes posigrade on the 4th.  The Full Moon on the 13th may give you a very strong urge to use your credit card.  This could be something you've wanted for a long time yourself or it could be something for someone in your family.  Don't let your emotions rule but think about whether or not you can really afford it, even with that windfall.  The New Moon on the 27th will focus on relationships but you may not like everything you see so use that Scorpio intuition to dig up the truth and then do what you have to do.

Sagittarius - Pluto is still strolling through your sign and he's about to go retrograde so he won't be leaving anytime soon.  Since Pluto spends about 20 years in each sign, he's been there for a while with over a year left.  The effect hits hardest when he conjuncts the Sun in your Natal Chart.  This provokes lots of introspection and analysis that has all the charm of walking through a graveyard.  You have a definite personality clash with this planet so this trek has not been easy, but hopefully you've already been through it.  For those of you born between December 17-19 it is probably very noticeable right now, but rest assured that it has a positive purpose in the long haul.  Purging your brilliant mind of any past mistakes and baggage will ultimately make you a better person, so muster all that Archer philosophical superiority and deal with it.  It's going to last for a while longer, but at least now you know what to blame it on which should help a little.  You're not alone, either, because those whose Ascendant is being hit in a similar way are probably feeling it even stronger, especially when that retrograde motion causes the little devil to grind back and forth on the cusp.  The Full Moon on the 13th may bring some into a new phase or possibly the completion to a project at work or some other ambition you're engaged in.  On the downside, there may be a confrontation of some sort on the home front due to that Mars/Mercury/Pluto T-square.  Those dealing with that Pluto transit will be particularly affected.  Watch your temper and don't say anything you really don't mean.  With these aspects it won't be easy to undo any damage caused by impulsive words spoken in anger.  The New Moon on the 27th reemphasizes these same themes but also tie into the workplace and your general reputation, so the earlier conflict may shift to issues that pit work against your home environment.  If you've been spending too much time at the office lately, it might be time to rethink whether it's really making things better or worse.

Capricorn -  You're usually very practical but lately Neptune has been enticing you to indulge in something that appeals to your artistic side.  This could be anything from a new car to a new music CD, but it will be something that helps you escape a bit from whatever is bothering you, possibly relationship problems thanks to Mars.  Uranus has given you a few strokes of brilliance lately, especially in the first of the month when he was in cahoots with Mercury.  Enjoy it while it lasts and be sure to exploit it by tackling any tasks that require innovation or unique communications before it fades into the cosmos as these aspects always do.  Interactions at work or in the family have been lively lately, with lots of people dropping by or calling, sometimes just to chat and other times to solicit your opinion.  There are a lot of things going on everywhere and time seems to be slipping by faster than you ever remember it doing so before.  There have been a few drains on your resources lately, but Jupiter has brought a few pleasant surprises so things have not been as bad as they could have been.  That Full Moon on the 13th could bring some attention to your job or career, but you really don't like some of what's going on.  That Mars/Mercury/Pluto T-square isn't helping, so try to realize that some of your preconceived notions may not be entirely correct or are so subjective you can't apply them globally.  If you need to vent, do so with someone you can trust and don't open your mouth to pontificate on some sensitive area that might upset the powers that be.  The New Moon on the 27th may cause you to be extremely self-critical so call on that Earth Sign practicality and logic and cut yourself a break.  New Moons usually signal a new beginning and this one is likely to trigger something you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of if you'll look up instead of worrying about the mud on your feet.

Aquarius - You've been feeling pretty good about yourself lately and most likely will indulge in a new look, new clothes, or something that gives you a lift.  Neptune has given you the urge to indulge in something that takes you away even momentarily to a fantasy world, either music, art, the theater or even a movie.  While you're out and about, beware of Uranus' unhappy surprises.  Make sure you lock your car and hang onto your belongings so that nothing happens to mar the experience and jerk you back to harsh reality long before you're ready to return.  The transiting Sun will be squaring your Natal Sun sometime this month, so don't be surprised if you have a few days where nothing seems to be going your way.  Those people at work and the ones you hang out with are still being somewhat troublesome, but before you act like a typical Air Sign and tell them what you think, make sure that you're not part of the problem.  Regardless of the various things going on around you, not all of which are good, you have a lot of admirers, many of which you're entirely oblivious to.  Make sure you don't jeopardize your reputation by being too impulsive and doing something stupid, even if you can blame it on being ruled by Uranus.  Your relationships on a close personal level aren't anything to brag about these days, however, and you can blame that on Saturn, which has been retrograde since November 23.  That is going to end on April 4th, which will hopefully get rid of those bad vibes and show some improvement in that area.  The Full Moon on the 13th should bode well for any tasks related to higher education, the law, or if you're planning a trip abroad.  That Mars/Mercury/Pluto T-square may stir up some hassles, probably related to work or possibly family, so brace yourself and don't overreact.  The New Moon on the 27th may bring another confrontation, probably from the usual sources and most likely involve a female who's been known to cause trouble. Be especially cautious at this time to avoid those unpleasant surprises noted earlier.

Pisces - You've had a lot of planetary action in your Sign lately and have probably been having numerous surprises associated with them, thanks in particular to Uranus.  These will most likely continue for a while.  Venus enters your sign on the 6th, which should bring numerous good things your way courtesy of this benefic planet.  You'll look and feel good and others will notice.  Things might be a bit tense at home the first week or so of the month thanks to Mars and Pluto facing off with one another, but they should ease up a bit after that.  Work is just that--work-- thanks to Saturn, but when it quits that retrograde crap on the 4th things ought to improve.  The Full Moon on the 13th won't be especially friendly, particularly with that Mars/Mercury/Pluto T-square.  Expect a confrontation that could get rather personal.  Neptune may be playing some tricks on you lately and clouding over issues you need to resolve. Jupiter may not be helping matters, even though it's usually one of those benefic planets that brings good things, like Venus.  In this case, however, it might just be increasing the illusion and further lulling you into a sense of false security.  Jupiter's influence will fade away by the end of the month, so brace yourself for a reality check, possibly around the time of that New Moon on the 27th which should give you some insights you'd previously missed.  Expect another confrontation of some sort, perhaps related to the one that occurred with the Full Moon, which could relate to one or more relationships or a partnership and possibly affect your reputation.
