New Moon 5/16/2007

Full Moon 5/31/2007

Neptune Retrograde 5/25/2007

The month starts out with a Full Moon in your sign on May 2nd.  This should highlight you personally in some way, especially if your birthday is between November 2-6.  You're likely to be the center of attention, whether you want to be or not.  Possibly you will have completed something that brings you some sort of recognition, since Full Moons often indicate an ending, or at the least the end of a phase.

This is one of those rare months that has two Full Moons, the second of which is known as a Blue Moon, hence the expression "Once in a Blue Moon."  This one occurs in your Natural 2nd House which governs your possessions, pleasures and comforts.  Both Jupiter and Pluto are in that same neighborhood and both are currently retrograde.  Ordinarily, Jupiter expands and multiplies anything it touches, and while in Sagittarius a fair amount of enthusiasm and optimism would also be observed.  When retrograde, however, these gradually fade and ultimately evolve into a close examination of our moral code and ethics as they relate to the resident house.  Since this is occurring in your 2nd House, this will relate to your attitude toward your possessions, which, by the way, includes your body.  Perhaps in the past several months you've been a bit too indulgent and your income to debt ratio shows it.  The newness and/or the novelty has worn off and now you're faced with onerous monthly payments.  It would be only natural at some point to wonder what you were thinking and now is probably that time.

This somewhat uncomfortable insight will be further exacerbated by the fact that your ruling planet, Pluto, is in that same House and he's retrograde as well.  Pluto will delve into the very depths of your soul and force you to examine what you're made out of in deep and laborious detail.  If there are any changes that need to be made, any serious lessons to be learned, especially from your past, you can bet that as sure as God made little green apples that you'll be forced to look them square in the eye.  Any personal weaknesses or attitudes you may have that have inclined you toward accumulating too much "stuff" will be vying for your attention; Pluto excels at identifying the hidden flaw.  Along these lines, it is quite common for possessions to break down unexpectedly at this time, likewise falling prey to that hidden flaw.

If you are absolutely perfect in this area, have your spending and budgeting entirely under control and aren't carrying an uncomfortable debt load, then these will probably not be the cause for much grief.  If it hurts, it means that both of these planets have definitely found a nerve and that it would be in your best interest to take a good, hard look at how you got there to avoid taking that route again.

It's probably not exactly helpful that Neptune is camped out in your Natural 4th House, which covers your home environment, early upbringing and subconscious.  As King of the Deep, Neptune excels at illusion and deception as the down side of all that idealism and inspiration he can also generate.  In case you haven't noticed lately, the world is FAR from perfect and as nice as it may be to wish it were, reality will bite you every time you attempt to go there.  More than likely you have a certain image of a home and homelife that you expect to achieve.  Average just isn't good enough; only the best will do.

However, getting there is another story.  Those of you born November 14-16 are probably noticing this the most.  On the 25th Neptune goes retrograde, which may really turn on the idealism.  Needless to say, with everything going on in your 2nd House, there will be some interaction between these two venues.  This is a good opportunity for you to determine what really constitutes the ideal home, "things" or the sense of freedom that comes from not being in debt.  Over the next several months you'll have the opportunity to take a good, hard look at these things and redefine your thoughts, actions and attitudes accordingly.  This is not a bad thing, though there may be some discomfort associated with these changes.  Look at it as starting a fitness program that will ultimately have very positive results.

The second half of the month, Mars is throwing some energy in Aries, your Natural 6th House of work, health and pets.  This could conceivably cause some discomfort of some kind or require an adjustment on your part.  Don't overreact and make sure you have all the facts before forming an opinion.

There will be some emphasis on your relationships on all fronts this month.  Personal, business and intimate relationships will all have something going on that will keep you on your toes.  The New Moon on the 16th is in that same vicinity and could herald a new beginning or new phase to an existing relationship.  If there is anything going on in the higher education, legal or long distance travel arenas, things should go well this month as Venus is transiting that domain after the 8th.  If you've been somewhat stuck in the mud careerwise, this should improve now that Saturn is no longer in retrograde.  Opportunities for more responsibility and/or authority are possible, but may involve some conflict along the way.  Keep your eyes open and follow your instincts.

This will be a busy month for you in various arenas.  Pay attention to what's going on, where the challenges are and don't ignore them; they may bite you later if you do.  Things may feel a bit stressful, but it's the necessary path for overall improvement in your life.
