Mars is currently transiting your Natural 2nd House of possessions, pleasures and financial affairs.  Mars usually brings along a fair amount of energy, but this is slightly dampened while crossing Cancer's soggy, Water Sign depths.  Fiery Mars doesn't mix with water any more than a physical fire would.  This is not all bad, however, since Mars is known to predispose us to accidents and other forms of aggression which aren't particularly desirable, especially in your 2nd House.  With Mercury RX our communication-related devices such as cell phones, TVs and computers function poorly enough, to say nothing of our autos and appliances.  If you don't already know this is an extremely bad time to purchase anything new that falls in one of these categories, then note it now.  If your car breaks down, which is extremely common during Mercury RX, put off buying another one until it's over in November.  Rent one if necessary.  Trust me, that the expense and inconvenience of a rental is far superior to the problems you are likely to have with anything you buy during that period.  Somehow those inhibited vibes get cast permanently within anything you take possession of during that time and the nuisance they create during your entire ownership tenure is far from enchanting.

Getting back to Mars, his presence in your 2nd House can encourage breakdowns in addition to simple malfunctions, but since he's not as powerful in Cancer, this may not be as bad for you as it is for other signs.  Fortunately, Mars is making some positive aspects with his sibling planets this month.  From the start of the month through the 19th he'll be sextile Saturn in Virgo, your Natural 4th House of home environment, which includes wherever or whatever you call home and those with whom you live on a daily basis.  Saturn just slipped into Virgo the first part of September, which will have some positive effects, particularly if you have work you need to do around the house.  Saturn is all about structure, discipline and responsibilities, and while these aren't exactly fun, they are what help us find security.  During this transit, which will last approximately two years, he'll be prompting you to take care of business in your home, whether it's a matter of maintaining your property or disciplining your children.  Virgo is picky and organized and will further complement this effect, so you can expect some help in getting things done, especially until the 19th while Mars is giving it a little extra boost.  Just remember if you need to buy anything , do it either before October 12th or after November 3rd, to avoid the effects of Mercury RX.

Speaking of Mars and Mercury RX, those two will be trine from October 17 - 18.  This is not necessarily a bad thing.  The good thing about Mercury RX is that it is a good time for rethinking and redoing things that we didn't get quite right on the first go-round.  I know that you Twins tend to be a bit ADHD and usually want to complete any project in the shortest possible time.  This is all well and good, but sometimes you may not be as thorough as you should be, which is where this transit becomes an asset.  Mars should give you the motivation you need to rework and rethink those things you may not have gotten quite right the first time.  Mars will also sextile Venus between October 13 - 22nd.  This is not only a positive aspect for male - female relationships, but makes for a good environment to work on your home finances.  This is an excellent time to create or reassess your budget and plan future improvements. 

Venus is also a busy little goddess this month with lots of interactions with her planetary siblings.  The first week or so she's trine Pluto over there in your Natural 7th House of relationships.  This is likely to put an emphasis on relationships in the home, particularly past ones and the lessons they contained.  Expect numerous old memories and experiences to surface and if you didn't quite catch the lesson when they first occurred, Pluto will make sure you get it this time.  Midmonth she'll be holding hands with RX Mercury, encouraging introspection relative to your relationships and finances as well as giving Saturn a bear hug.  If you discipline yourself to tackle some of those tedious jobs that just need to get done between October 13 - 17 things should not only go well, but you should receive a tremendous amount of satisfaction out of it.  If there were ever a transit just made to tackle that job jar, this is it, so don't let it pass without taking advantage of this extra help.

The last week of the month might bring a surprise or upset of some type that involves your homelife and your career as Venus opposes Uranus.  In addition, Jupiter will square Uranus until the 24th, which could also stir up some kind of conflict between your career and personal life.  Perhaps you'll be told to go on business travel right during a time when something special is planned at home, such as a birthday or anniversary.  About that same time Venus will also be square Jupiter.  This aspect is a little harder to call since we have two benefic planets in hard aspect.  This is likely to be a pleasant occurrence that ultimately causes a conflict or crisis of some sort, though it's likely to be resolved in a very positive way. 

Even further on the positive side, that Uranus sextile Neptune that runs from October 24 to November 6 may create an opportunity relative to your career that brings it closer to what you'd consider your dream job.  Keep your eyes open and see what develops. 

That New Moon in Libra on the 11th occurs in your Natural 5th House, perhaps heralding a new phase of activity with your children, creative endeavors or love life.  The Full Moon on the 25th in you Natural 12th House of spirituality, inspiration and dreams could bring something in that department to closure or perhaps another level of activity as well.

This looks like a busy month for you with a lot going on at home and possibly on the work and career scene as well.  Knowing how much you dislike boredom, this should be something you find more enjoyable than those that prefer a slow, predictable pace.  Enjoy it, but don't forget to take the time necessary to rethink those things to which Mercury RX is calling your attention.  These planetary transits are all about personal growth and if you don't heed to promptings of the planets, you'll be stuck working them out on your own at an even less convenient time.  Crank up your multiplexing ability and go for it.
