This month the New Moon is on October 11 in Libra, your Natural 2nd House, which could usher in a new phase of some sort relative to your possessions and finances. If you're planning to buy something, however, take note of the fact that your Sign Ruler, Mercury, will be up to his usual tricks come October 12 when he once again goes Retrograde (RX), a condition that will last until November 3. You probably already know all about Mercury RX and the fact that this is not a good time to buy anything that relates either to communications such as cell phones, computers or TVs or mechanical devices, such as autos or major appliances. Anything you acquire during such a period will have a virtual curse upon it that will last the entire time you own this item. I know this sounds pretty hokey and woo-woo, but I assure you that unfortunately it is true. Why, I have no idea, any more than I could tell you why astrology works for anything, but believe me it does. It's entirely up to you whether you want to be safe or sorry. Saturn moved into Virgo, your Natural 1st House of personality, last month. You may have already started to feel his effects, which are often quite sobering. Saturn is all about discipline, boundaries, restrictions, responsibility and structure. If you have any personal weaknesses in these areas you are about to be schooled over the next two years or so by the master. It's entirely up to you how pleasant or unpleasant this tutoring may be, based on your willingness to learn and progress. For about the first three weeks of this month, Mars will sextile Saturn from your Natural 11th House of groups, friends, and organization activity, providing a bit of motivation or even opportunity from that venue. Mars alone in that House, however, could cause some conflict or confrontations in that area, though Mars' energy is slightly dampened by Water Sign, Cancer. Physically or astrologically, water and fire aren't exactly what you would call compatible. Nonetheless, even if he's gurgling slightly beneath the surface of all that water, chances are that he'll at the least be making some significant waves. But let's get back to your First House and the good things that are likely this month. Venus moves into that domain on the 9th, which should have a positive effect. This usually manifests in a rather pleasant way, such as enhancing your physical appearance and making people like you for no apparent reason. More than likely you are projecting in a more positive manner to which other respond favorably. Thus, if there is anything you need to do where being personable is important, now is the time to get to it, or at least before November 9th when she moves into Libra. Midmonth, from the 13th - 17th, she'll be waltzing about with stuffy ol' Saturn, which should also have a positive effect. This may help you to accept some of Saturn's lessons more readily or even make their implementation pleasurable. About this same time, i.e. from the 16th - 18th, Venus will sextile RX Mercury, who's doing the backstroke in your Natural 3rd House of intellect, neighbors and short trips. Since RX motion turns a planet's energy inward, this will promote some serious introspection and in this case, that will probably be directed toward self-assessment. Bear in mind that Venus may color things a bit too favorably, so don't filter out your faults in so-doing. More than likely Saturn is hitting you over the head with a few, so don't be too quick to discount them just because Venus tells you how wonderful you are, as-is. Mars will be in the game most of this time, possibly providing some motivation or input from friends or associates, which should be of a positive nature, but should hopefully give you another push toward self-improvement of some type. A possible sanity check could come during the first week when Venus trines Pluto in your 4th House of home environment. This should unearth a few issues relative to your interactions in your home environment, some of which might be less than positive. Any unresolved old issues are likely to surface and won't go away without being properly resolved. If there's anything relative to your interactions with those with who share the place you call home, whether it's a house, dorm or barrack, that requires attention, you will probably discover it at this time. Bear in mind this is a positive aspect, but Pluto isn't known for his kindness. However, if you need the lessons, the outcome is likely to be favorable. The last few days of the month, Venus will square Jupiter. In this case we have two planets that are usually quite friendly in a challenging aspect, so there is no telling how this should play out. Jupiter usually expands or increases what he touches, so there may be something in your home environment that does so and creates a challenge of some sort, albeit a good one, for you personally. This could be anything from a new baby to contracting for an additional of some sort to your house. Note that about this same time, Venus will be opposite Uranus, indicating a change of some type, probably in the relationship area. Remember, however, that relationships include any one-on-one interaction, whether it's a romantic interest, business partner or close friend or relative. The Full Moon on the 25th occurs in Taurus, your Natural 9th House, which covers higher education, foreign or long-distance travel, and legal matters. If there is anything in one of these areas that has been in-work for a while, this could indicate that its culmination is nigh. Either that or maybe it's simply time to enter a new phase. This should generally have a favorable effect, especially for those born around August 26, give or take a few days. This month should have a lot of action on a personal level between Venus and Saturn in your Natural 1st House and your Sign Ruler being Retrograde from the 12th on. This indicates opportunities for self-improvement. Virgos tend to be practical, but also can be hyper-critical as they strive for perfection. They have a strong work ethic, but can also take this to extremes or expect everyone else to meet their impossibly high standards. Remember that your greatest strength is your greatest weakness and use this opportunity with Venus and Saturn to file down any sharp edges. It will definitely be to your advantage in the long run. |
