Figurative Elemental Interactions

Fire - Earth

Fire and Earth signs can interact in a variety of ways.  Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) tend to be very stable, practical and logical to the point they can be considered stuffy, picky and cold, respectively.  When these folks pair with a Fire sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) it brings a certain level of balance to the relationship since these individuals will emanate energy, dash and sparkle, respectively.  In the ideal state, the combination will be like the warmth of a Campfire on a cool evening in the mountains.  Earth provides a nice, solid base while Fire radiates light and warmth in all directions.

Sagittarius - Taurus

Sagittarius - Virgo

Sagittarius - Capricorn

However, if these two disagree, the worst case can be similar to a Volcanic Eruption, either spewing molten lava far and wide or simply creeping toward the village below in a stealthy, lethal floe that is only visible in the dark or with night vision goggles.  Earth signs don't like to talk that much about problems that are emotional in nature.  If they can't solve it with logic, then they either internalize the issue for further processing or ignore it, neither of which is going to resolve anything.  Fire signs, on the other hand, are basically emotional in nature and they're going to want to talk about it.  What point it reaches between the Campfire and Volcanic Eruption is going to depend on how much Earth goes underground to avoid discussion versus engagement of Fire's temper.  If Fire decides to throw a hand grenade into Earth's burrow, it's going to get messy.
