June 2007 Astrocast

Key Events:

New Moon 6/14/2007

Full Moon 6/30/2007

Mercury Retrograde 6/16/2007

Uranus Retrograde 6/24/2007

The Sun is currently transiting Gemini, your Natural 2nd House of possessions, pleasures and comforts, which is home ground for Bulls on the Zodiacal level.  [NOTE:--If you're having trouble understanding the fact that you have Natal, Natural, and Zodiacal Houses that aren't necessary found in the same Sign, I suggest reading our section on Houses.]  This will be in force until the 22nd, when the Sun moves into Cancer.  While in your 2nd House, you can expect 2nd House issues to be highlighted in some manner.  Since this is a venue that is near and dear to your heart, feel free to enjoy it as much as you can.  Just be careful not to over-indulge, especially since another caution lies in the fact that on the 16th Mercury will once again go retrograde, which will last until July 10.

As you may or may not know, this is definitely not the time to buy anything new.  Mercury rules communication as well as all things mechanical, so when he's in one of his infamous RX periods nothing in his domain works properly.  Misunderstandings abound, computers and cell phones crash, travel issues are often messed up, car and appliances break down and so forth.  Not only is it a period of gross frustration, but if you should buy anything that fits one of these categories during this time, it is likely to have a virtual curse upon it for it's entire useful lifetime.  So if any of your 2nd House inclinations move you to buy something new, keep it to clothes, fine wine or possibly a massage.

Also bear in mind that Mercury will be in Cancer when this occurs, which is your Natural 3rd House of mental activity, early education and short journeys.  Expect your feel as if your brain is somewhat constipated and don't take it too seriously as it will pass after July 10th.  Trying to convey thoughts or ideas will not be effective so save your breath.  On the other hand, this is a good time to redo, rework or rethink something that isn't currently complete.  It's also a good time to clean things out, like the attic or garage, so put it to use in a constructive manner.

Chances are that over the past several months there have been issues of some sort to deal with in your home environment of either an emotional or physical nature.  They are probably largely under control and you feel as if you have a grip on them and they're on their way to being solved.  Don't worry, this is not going to change.  Saturn has been hanging out there for quite a while now and as the planet who brings structure, responsibility and discipline, he's been bringing your attention to what needed attention.  While this was more than likely less than pleasant from time to time, you are probably now making progress and are better off than before.  The good news is that on June 6th everyone's friend, Venus, who is especially meaningful to you as your Sign Ruler, comes by for a visit.  While Saturn is generally known as a malefic planet, Venus is a benefic, and will more than likely bring pleasant happenings along for the ride.  On June 30th, which also coincides with the Full Moon, she will be nose to nose with Saturn and I suspect that will bring a direct benefit of some kind your way for all that you've accomplished the past several months.  If it doesn't immediately appear that way, just use some of your abundant store of patience and reserve judgment, because IMHO it will ultimately be very beneficial.

The Full Moon shouldn't hurt, either.  That takes place in Capricorn, your Natural 9th House, which rules legal matters, long-distance travel and higher education.  A Full Moon usually indicates a culmination or ending of some sort.  Since it occurs in favorable aspect, particularly if your birthday falls around April 27 - May 2, this should be a happy ending of sorts.  Maybe you'll finally close a deal that's been in-work for a while, you'll enjoy a vacation you've been planning or months, or you or one of your children will get accepted to the college of their choice.

You have two retrograde planets, Jupiter and Pluto, camped out in Sagittarius, your Natural 8th House of intimate relationships, death & regeneration and other people's money.  Retrograde planets get a lot of bad press, and admittedly it is often well-deserved, but in this case the ultimate outcome should also be positive.  When Jupiter is RX he directs our thoughts and experiences toward issues relative to ethics and morals.  Since these have a strong bearing on 8th House issues, some serious thought in this direction is well-spent.  Bulls are very sensuous by nature and needless to say sex is one of your favorite activities.  It goes without saying that this further relates to ethics and morals.  Bulls are also frugal if not downright cheap, which of course ties in with other people's money and resources.  Morals and ethics in that venue are also tightly aligned.  So a good, hard look at your core beliefs in these areas never hurts.  That's what Jupiter is up to.

Pluto, who can be one of the astrological community's bad actors, is also at work, but he will actually create a synergistic situation where the sum of the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.  If you've ever had your beautiful, manicured lawn torn up by Rotorooter, then you can begin to imagine what to initially expect.  But you also know if you have a clogged sewer line, this is often the only way to make it right.  This is analogous to any 8th House issues you may have thought you'd flushed away, yet never dealt with as you should so now they've come back to haunt you.  This could relate to an intimate relationship, loan you never paid back, or some other area of your life that wasn't properly handled.  While having to take a good hard look at a puddle of sewage isn't your idea of a good time, you also know that is the only way to makes things right.  When the system is properly repaired, the dirt replaced and grass replanted, you are free to move on healthier and happier than ever before.  And more than likely if this hits home, you can also see how Jupiter's action will actually assist the process.

All in all this should be an interesting month.  There will be pleasant times and possibly not-so-pleasant times, but all's well that end's well.  Just remember that moving forward while Mercury is RX is likely to be next to impossible and use the time to deal effectively with anything from your past that requires work.
