This month the
Sun is in Leo, which means
this is your solar opposition period. This isn't necessarily good or bad,
depending on the placement of the planets in your
Natal Chart, but it's
usually significant. This is frequently the time when we really look at
ourselves in a different light, either by choice or by circumstance, and by so
doing may choose to direct our life along a slightly different path.
Jupiter comes out of retrograde on August 6th, which should improve your luck a bit, at least as far as your group or organizational activities are concerned, and perhaps in the hopes and wishes department as well. At the least, expect some expansion in that area and possibly even some opportunities, especially for those born between January 29 - February 3. Pluto is still in that same neighborhood, i.e., Sagittarius, and is probably still stirring up some crap relative to your past and unresolved issues. Bear in mind that these are lessons you need to learn to progress and are similar to having surgery that is painful at the time, but if done correctly will heal and leave you as good or better than new, albeit bearing a scar. Mars is in Taurus, your Natural 4th House of home environment until the 8th when he moves into Gemini, your Natural 5th House. I know that's a lot of astrologese for most of you, so let me explain. Mars, who's probably best known as the God of War, bring energy on the positive side and aggression and conflict on the negative. Due the the placement of this houses, the aspects are more positive for the latter than the former. In other words, while influencing your home environment the result is likely to be stirring up a bit of contention or possibly other problems, such as things around the house breaking down. When he moves into your 5th House, which governs your children, creativity and love life, it's a more positive aspect, and could simply throw some positive energy in one or more of those directions. Expect it and be sure to direct it in a constructive manner. The New Moon this month is on the 12th and occurs in Leo, your Natural 7th House of one on one relationships. There's quite a bit of activity there this month besides this, including the Sun until the 24th, Venus backing in due to retrograde motion after the 10th, Mercury between August 5 - 20, and Saturn (still) until September 8. Needless to say that's a lot of energy, all of it slightly different, and will toss about a wide of a variety of influences. Since as a rule we all have more than one close relationship, these could show up with different people in our lives, or possibly blend to affect the one who's most important. Let's start with the New Moon, which usually introduces a new beginning or phase. This could be someone new coming into your life, or it could herald a change of some sort in an existing one. The Sun brings light and emphasis, and frequently draws attention to his resident house, but other than that is usually neutral. Venus retrograde (RX) will internalize your thoughts and feelings about one or more of these relationships, probably those of the romantic variety. You are likely to be thinking about what your expectations are and possibly how others have or have not fulfilled them in the past. It wouldn't hurt to consider your role, as well, and any mistakes you may have made that affected the relationship. If you think that you were perfect and all the fault was with the other person, you're probably not being very objective. Mercury in the same neighborhood can help your think more clearly, synthesize data, and even communicate with others, all of which could prove very useful. And then there's Saturn, who is usually about as far from romantic as you can get. He has probably be trying to teach you some hard lessons about people you've paired up with in the past, information that, with Mercury's help, you have hopefully absorbed and accepted enough to avoid repeating past mistakes. So that's a lot going on relationship-wise for the better part of the month. You should utilize all this Zodiacal assistance and spend some time considering what is going on in this part of your life. Which people are you closest to, are the relationships healthy, and what are your expectations? Is it time to kick a relationship up a notch? If there's no one significant in your life right now, then maybe you'll meet someone soon, but clearing the deck of old debris is a good idea first. This is all obviously quite generalized, but if you take the general principles and apply them to your individual circumstances you should be able to glean some ideas on what the Universe is trying to tell you. The one thing you need to make an effort to avoid is being too idealistic, refusing to accept reality, or even being downright delusional. This influence is attributable to Neptune hanging out in Aquarius, where he's been for quite a while and will remain for a few years to come. On the positive side, he can bring inspiration and even numerous dreams to reach for, but realizing that you may not be seeing things as they really are is essential to avoid disappointment or disillusionment later. Toward the end of the Month, both the Sun and Mercury will move into Virgo, on the 24th and 20th, respectively. This is your Natural 8th House that governs intimate relationships, transformations, and other people's money. Thus, the emphasis will shift to these areas, and may or may not relate to the 7th House issues discussed above. If it doesn't, it could relate more to borrowing money or something along those lines. Whatever it happens to be, it could cause some restlessness or require an adjustment of some sort on your part before you're comfortable with it. The Full Moon on the 28th will be in Pisces and will also be a Lunar Eclipse. This will give it a bit more punch than usual and could signal the culmination of something relative to your 2nd House that has been going on for several months, probably since March. The 2nd House covers such things as your possessions, finances, comforts and pleasures, so if something has been going on with any of those for roughly five months, it could come to a conclusion by the end of the month. Uranus, your ruling planet, has been hanging out in this neighborhood for quite a while, and has probably been causing a few surprises, unexpected events, upsets or disruptions. Thus, if something specific has been going on for the last few months, it's likely to find closure, but the general climate of instability is likely to continue for a while, so don't expect too much just because one challenge seems to finally be resolved. All in all, this looks like a busy and significant month. In particular, be on the lookout for lessons to be learned about yourself as well as in the relationship area, which could involve a possible shift or new phase. Also look for something to culminate in the possession or financial area. |
