You'll be happy to know that as of
August 7th that Jupiter
will come out of
retrograde (RX) and this should shower some luck in the direction of your
Natural 2nd House, which governs
your possessions, finances and physical body. While retrograde he
generally causes us to ponder ethics issues, which in your case would probably
relate to your finances. If you've been leaning a little too heavily on
the plastic in your life, you've probably had reason to give that some thought
over the past four months or so. A little luck and expansion will
undoubtedly be welcome, though you need to guard against being too extravagant.
You could easily fall prey to a sale that is simply too good to pass up or a
surge of optimism in your ability to pay for something you really can't afford.
Take a deep breath, count to ten, and then go home and think about it for at
least 24 hours before making any large purchases. Since pleasures and
comforts also fall under the 2nd House, you may also be prone to indulge
yourself a bit too much. You've probably noticed that you generally encounter a lot of strange occurrences relative to your possessions. They probably frequently have hidden flaws or problems that are difficult or even impossible to repair. This would be thanks to your ruling planet, Pluto, who is hanging out in your Natural 2nd House of Sagittarius as well. If your birthday falls within a few days of November 19, this is probably particularly noticeable and undoubtedly quite annoying. Pluto roots out anything that's hidden that requires attention. He's also about power, so this transit could also influence ownership issues. If you happen to be involved in a divorce that involves a property settlement, be particularly astute; of course that goes without saying for a Scorpio. Since you're ruled by Pluto, you'll be on pretty familiar ground and I don't doubt you'll have the situation firmly in hand. There is likely to be some action relative to your career, reputation or community standing this month as the Sun moves through your Natural 10th House. Mercury, master of communications, will be in that same neighborhood for roughly half of the month, which will help you convey any ideas relative to these areas in a clear and effective way. Thus, if you've been putting together a presentation or proposal of some sort, scheduling it between August 5 - 20 would enhance your chances of being well received. The New Moon occurs in Leo on the 12th, another harbinger of a new phase about to begin in this area since New Moons ordinarily herald a new beginning of some sort. Saturn has been in that house for quite a while and has probably been edging you toward a more serious pursuit of your career and increasing your responsibilities. He's not exactly the astrological party boy, but he will provide structure and seriousness to the House he's in. Saturn has strong ties to this House at the Zodiacal level so probably has had a positive influence on this area of your life. He can be a "bad actor" in some venues, but not this one; this is where he's at home. Venus backing into this neighborhood via retrograde motion on the 10th should provide another touch of good fortune. While retrograde planets generally get some pretty bad press, it depends on the planet, house and circumstances. Retrograde motion tends to internalize the planet's energy, but this is not always a bad thing. Venus RX may cause you to consider your sentiments toward your career, which could be quite useful, particularly if you're thinking about a change. Venus also relates to our finances, which could also relate strongly to your career, one way or another. Perhaps you've been working in a particular field simply because it pays well, but your emotional satisfaction has been lacking. Maybe it's time to think about tightening your belt in some areas so that you can make a change to a line of work that you'll love rather than tolerate. Or maybe you've been lazily plodding along in a job that was easy, but doesn't pay very well, yet you've been hesitant about putting forth the effort to move forward, assume more responsibility or pursue more lucrative opportunities. Either way, Venus RX will help you sort things out. All in all, it looks like a very good month to assess and pursue your career goals. The Full Moon on the 28th occurs in Pisces, your Natural 5th House, which comprises your love life, creativity, children and entertainment. If you're an October Scorpio, this should provide something good in this area. A Full Moon usually signifies the culmination of something, so this could indicate the completion of a project, a child reaching a milestone of some sort, such as starting school, or perhaps a romantic relationship is ready to move into the next phase. Uranus, planet of surprises, unexpected events and change, is also in Pisces, indicating that this area of your life has probably been somewhat unstable for a while. If your birthday is between November 7 - 13th, more than likely something will either change or take you by surprise in this area. Again, it could be an event related to your children or love life, but it could also indicate a flash of creativity that will be significant in some way. Mars, who ruled Scorpio previous to the discovery of Pluto, moves into Gemini, your Natural 8th House, on August 8th. Scorpio rules the Universal 8th House of sex, death and regeneration, healing, and other people's money. This would seem to indicate some significant action in one of these areas, either in August or September, since he'll be there until September 29. You may need to adjust or justify your thinking in one of these areas. At any rate, Mars will be throwing some energy in that direction that will have noticeable punch. I would avoid borrowing money and be particularly alert during that time, since Mars in the 8th House can sometimes predispose you to accidents. Of course there has been research that indicates that all accidents result from suppressed anger, which we know Mars can generate, so keep your temper under control as well. Toward the end of the month and into September both the Sun and Mercury will move into your Natural 11th House, which rules your friends, group activities, hopes and wishes. This will highlight this area of your life in one way or another and could even present some opportunities. Mercury will enhance your ability to communicate your ideas and feelings, so if you'd like to increase your activity in one of these areas, do some networking, or pursue something related to your hopes and wishes, the time is coming up around August 24th. It looks as if the emphasis this month is on your career and possibly your love life, children, or creative efforts. There is a lot of assistance out there for you to harness and thus advance yourself. Just a reminder not to fall prey to marketing and advertising ploys that may influence you to sign up to something that will be painful later, or, in plain English, a big, fat bill. If perchance you can't help yourself and do, remember to get that extended warranty because with Pluto in that same House you're probably going to need it. |
