If your get up and go, got up and
went, it's probably because your
Sign Ruler,
Mars, is doing the
backstroke in soggy Cancer, a sign which he really isn't very fond of, anyway.
This will be in force until January 30, so don't be too hard on yourself if you
don't seem to be moving forward in your usual Ram manner.
Retrograde (RX) Mars
also has a tendency to dislodge old chunks of suppressed anger. In Cancer,
your Natural 4th House of home
environment, this is most likely going to be related to people who are either in
your home now or were in the past. It also relates to your upbringing
generally, including past lives. This is a good opportunity to get rid of
this old crap and move on without all that excess venom. Rams usually have
enough frustration in their lives without toting around stuff that goes back to
their childhood or before. Now that you're older and presumably wiser,
take a fresh look at all angles of the situation and put yourself in the other's
shoes long enough to at least get a glimpse of where they were coming from.
If the person is still around and you think you could have a constructive
conversation about it without getting all riled up again, then by all means, go
for it, but if you know it will result in more anger instead of less, you're
much better off to just let it go. There's a tremendous amount of action in Sagittarius, your Natural 9th House of long distance travel, higher education, legal matters, religion, and core beliefs this month. The first three days of the month the Sun will square Saturn in your Natural 6th House of work, health and pets. Saturn is all about boundaries, delays and restrictions, so if there's something you've been wanting to accomplish in one of these areas, it's probably not going to happen anytime soon. The situation is likely to get even worse on December 19 when Saturn goes retrograde. Saturn RX will bundle up anything laying around unresolved in the House at hand and push it down into your subconscious where it will simmer and stew until next spring sometime when he goes direct. At that time, however, you'll be able to sort through the various items of business and put them in the proper order, hopefully solving them, once and for all. The New Moon on the 9th is also in Sag, and more than likely heralding a new beginning of some sort in this venue. On the positive side, Venus, who's in Libra the first few days of the month, will sextile Jupiter during the first week. Venus is usually benefic, and in your Natural 7th House of one-on-one relationships, this should create an opportunity of some sort in this area as it relates to 9th house issues, described earlier. This is not necessarily a romantic relationship, but could simply be a new associate, business partner, or friend who will be useful in the days to come. Between December 9 - 15, the Sun will sextile Neptune in Aquarius, your Natural 11th House of friends, group activities, hopes and wishes. This should like wise create some opportunities, perhaps also in the form of new associations or perhaps just a nice dose of inspiration. During all of December and the better part of January, Jupiter and Pluto will be in a bear hug in Sagittarius. Jupiter is high and mighty in Sag since it's his home base and this should stimulate a lot of thought relative to those 9th house issues as well. With him hanging out in such close proximity to Pluto, these two will be working together. Pluto is the zodiacal Roto-Rooter who takes great delight in digging up things that are either hidden or forgotten from our past. This is usually about as pleasant as having the real Roto-Rooter digging up your backyard, but when all is said and done and the rather large bill settled, the dirt goes back in the hole, the grass grows back, and we can carry on without those disturbing surprises when we flush the toilet. In reality, Pluto is also pretty good at healing things as well, though the process of getting there isn't particularly pleasant. At any rate, he's going to have you looking long and hard at your core beliefs, their roots, flaws, and consequences as they relate to your education, travel experiences, legal situations, and philosophy of life in general. Between December 19 - 29 this will be particularly dramatic as the Sun joins these two and throws a spotlight on a few things, just to make sure you don't miss them. Your best bet is to work with the universe, not fight against it, as even an Aries can't do much about planetary behavior. For the second week of December the Sun will square Uranus, planet of change, surprises, and unexpected events, in your Natural 12th house of transcendence, spirituality and institutions. This may open the door a bit and help you accept some of the information that will be coming your way later in the month by giving you a few preliminary insights or a touch of inspiration. It's likely to give you pause, but will be good for you eventually, similar to taking a spoonful of cod liver oil, though that analogy is actually more apropos for Pluto. Ideas related to your 9th house plans or aspiration are likely to encounter some restlessness or require an adjustment of some sort around this same time, i.e. December 6 - 9, when Mercury in quincunx Mars. Mercury will be delivering news, ideas, or information that simply won't set too well with Rx Mars treading water in your 4th House, which covers your home environment, as mentioned earlier. This certainly won't be insurmountable (few things are for a Ram) but it will be something you need to work out, and remember what I said earlier about Rx Mars dislodging repressed anger. This may not necessarily belong to you, it might very well be someone who has a few things to discuss related to you or your behavior in the past. Keep your cool and do your best to resolve it in a peaceful manner or it's likely to get a lot worse before it gets better. From December 10 - 14, friendly, maybe even sultry Venus will trine Mars, which bodes quite nicely for male - female relationships. It could also generate some positive transformations in your home environment, perhaps through dealing with some of the suppressed anger discussed earlier. This is likely to be reinforced by the Full Moon on the 23rd, which is likely to signal the culmination of something related to your home environment. Right, smack around Christmas, i.e. between December 22 - 27, the Sun, who will now be in Capricorn, will oppose Mars. This will once again throw some light on those anger issues, especially as they pertain to men, boys, fathers, authority figures, and so forth. Depending on your family dynamics, this could create some unpleasantries over the holidays, so give it some thought whether or not it's worth the cost or collateral damage before pursuing something that really isn't worth it. The Sun will be trining Saturn from December 28 through January 4, which will give you the opportunity to consider any 6th house issues that could benefit from some discipline or structure. This is very likely to include your health and with the holidays behind you (perhaps literally, if you ate too much) it's probably a good time to take a hard look at your diet and cleaning it up as required. The month ends with Venus and Mars in a restless quincunx between December 29 - January 3. Needless to say this encompasses New Years Eve, so if you have a hot date, you may have to make a few adjustments in order for it to work. By then Mars RX will have backed into Gemini, giving it a lot more mental action as opposed to the emotional action it had in Cancer. Ideas of all sorts are likely to get caught in the RX loop and while it's a good time to plan, action is likely to not succeed until after the end of January. Needless to say, this is a very busy month, particularly with respect to your 9th house. There's a lot of heavy-duty issues there, but this is not to say it's a bad thing. However, it does pertain a lot to your core beliefs and philosophy of life, so the experiences and thoughts you entertain throughout the month are likely to have a lasting effect. |
