This month you're likely to see a
considerable amount of action in your Natural 2nd
House which encompasses your
possessions, pleasures, and finances. The month begins with
Venus in Libra, your
Natural 12th House, of spirituality, transcendence, dreams, inspiration, and
institutions. She'll be sextile
Jupiter, one of several
planets in your 2nd House, for the first week of the month. This could
provide you with some inspiration, perhaps in a big way, for improving your
finances or perhaps simply enjoying life more than you are now. Listen
carefully and heed what they're trying to tell you. During about that same time, the Sun will square Saturn, who's hanging out in your 11th House of friends, groups, organizations, and hopes & wishes. From Scorpio's knothole, however, this could work to your advantage if you really pay attention to what it's all about. Saturn is all about responsibility and discipline, and if your circle of friends doesn't exactly display those particular traits, maybe the universe is trying to tell you to make a few changes. Perhaps your associations are affecting your finances by either tempting you to spend more money than you should by going out or perhaps it's less direct and a matter of "keeping up with the Joneses." Scorpios have a propensity for other people's money and have no problem taking or borrowing cold hard cash from anyone inclined to give it up. Be that as it may, maybe the universe is trying to call your attention to something that could use some more responsibility. On December 19, Saturn goes retrograde (RX), which will stimulate some subconscious activity in this area. This will go on until early May, when all these ruminations will surface and provide you with some direction on things you need to do to improve this area of your life. From December 4 - 10 the Sun will square Uranus in your Natural 5th House of children, lovers, entertainment, and creative expression. This planet-with-the-funny-name-who-no-one-wants-to-say-aloud rules surprises, unexpected events, disruptions, and change. This particular surprise could thus have something to do with your children or lover that affects your finances, but ultimately it will probably have a favorable effect. Since so many things are tying back to your finances, pleasures and possessions, you need to pay close attention to them all and look at the overall pattern. Mercury, who's also hanging out in your 2nd House, will be talking to Mars between December 6 - 9. This one can get particularly interesting since Mercury is all about communications and data and Mars is hanging out in your Natural 9th House of higher education, long-distance travel, legal matters and religion. It seems to me that what Mercury will be talking about will be your finances, so if you tie them into your 9th house, it could be a message to go back to school so you can qualify for a better job, or maybe if your finances are in good shape, you should go ahead and plan a trip abroad. Legal matters includes buying property, by the way, so that might be something else worth considering. The New Moon on the 9th, which also happens to be in your 2nd house, a.k.a. Sagittarius, could also herald a new beginning of some sort on the financial front. From December 9 - 15, the Sun will sextile Neptune in your Natural 4th House of home environment. This seems to indicate the possibility for having a holiday party at your home, but it's likely to take more money than you estimate and might not turn out nearly as nice as you'd imagined. Neptune can be quite the master of delusion and while his inspiration is often useful, nonetheless, you need to use caution when he's involved. The key here is to identify your real motivation for having the party. Is it to impress your friends or is it truly to celebrate in the spirit of Christmas and giving? If you heart is in the right place, it will probably turn out great, but if it's not, you're likely to be disappointed in the outcome. Venus and Mars will be smiling at each other between December 10 - 14, which will be a refreshing change compared to that frown they exchanged during November, particularly around Thanksgiving time. Venus will be in your sign at that time, which will add to your charm and appearance in a very positive way. You'll be very attractive to others and feel good about yourself as well. Mars is over there in your 9th, so if you want to look at this as a relationship indicator, there's a good chance that if you're a woman looking for a man, that he will have a career in academia, law, or perhaps the transportation industry. The Full Moon on the 23rd also falls in your 9th house, a.k.a. Cancer, which could indicate the culmination of something related to that area. Of particular interest this month is the fact that your Sign Ruler, Pluto, will be in conjunction with Jupiter for all of December and the first half of January. Again, this is in your 2nd house. Jupiter is all about expansion and our core beliefs whereas Pluto likes to exhume anything that smells funny and bears closer examination. There's a method to his madness, however, in that you cannot heal something without extracting the poison. Thus, this conjunction is likely to force some serious consideration at the core belief level relative to your finances, pleasures and possessions. More than likely some changes are in order in how you view these things, so it's time that you took a long, hard look at them, their affect on your life so far, and whether you're heading in the proper direction or not. If you're fooling yourself in any way, more than likely Pluto will slap you upside the head and not let you ignore it any longer. This will be especially true from December 19 - 29 when the Sun will join them and throw even more light and emphasis on the issues at hand. Once the Sun slips into Capricorn on the 22nd, he'll be shedding light on your intellect and mental activities. He'll be opposite Mars from December 22 - 27, which should stimulate some more thought relative to possibly going back to school or taking a trip abroad. Religion fits in there, too, if you're so inclined. From December 28 to January 4 he'll trine Saturn, which should generate a few more thoughts relative to your friends and whether they really are or not. Just in time for New Years Eve, Venus and Mars will slip out of trine to a slightly less but not quite hostile configuration. This could call for some adjustments or justifying your position in order to keep peace, but shouldn't represent an insurmountable obstacle. House-wise, it simply draws attention yet again to that finance/pleasure/possessions versus school/trip/legal issue we've talked about before. There's a lot going on this month for you, and much of it is going to center around finances, pleasures, and possessions. Nothing emphasizes these items more than the holidays and with New Years around the corner, there's no better time to commit to making some changes. |
