You'll be more than happy to know that
on November 2, your
Sign Ruler, Mercury,
will station and prepare to come out of
retrograde (RX).
This will at least get all those misunderstandings, computer, TV, internet, cell
phone, appliance and car problems back into normal range. Virgos are not
patient by nature and the frustrations caused by anything operating in a less
than perfect manner annoys the crap out of you. This, of course, is
magnified during a Mercury RX period, so the fact that this planetary
misbehavior is going away for a while should be a welcome break, even though the
majority of people will still be idiots and electronic and mechanical devices
will still break down or not function properly. At least it won't be in
overdrive, which this one certainly was since it was occurring in your Natural
2nd House of possessions,
pleasures and finances. Not only would the previously mentioned items be
acting up, but more than likely you had at least one hassle with a bank or
credit card company as well. So take at least a moment in your busy day to
thank the heavens that it's over. More good news is that Jupiter - Neptune sextile, which will be in effect from November 1 - 17. Jupiter, who tends to be lucky and expand anything he touches, is currently residing in your Natural 4th House of home environment. More than likely the activity level in your household has been hopping lately, possibly because of a busy work schedule. Neptune is camped out over in your Natural 6th House of work, health and pets, where he has been for quite a while now, since early 1998 to be exact, a detail which I know Virgos value. Virgo rules the zodiacal 6th House, so this is an area that is important to you. You have a strong work ethic, more than likely take reasonably good care of your health as witnessed by all those vitamin bottles in your kitchen cabinet, and more than likely have at least one pet. On top of that you're ruled by busy Mercury, who keeps you busy both mentally and physically. Dreamy Neptune, however, is the antithesis of all this. While Virgos like concrete, practical, Earth Sign practicality, Neptune, who rules your polar sign, Pisces, dissolves boundaries, creates illusions and delusions, and lures you into alternate dimensions or other forms of transcendence. Thus, if you've been floating around for a long time regarding what you really want to be when you grow up, or haven't been as on of top of things as you know you should be, Neptune is easily your scapegoat. During the first half of November, however, you may have an opportunity to use some of that inspiration to your advantage as Neptune and Jupiter interact. This is not to say that all your career questions and challenges will go away, but you may be able to get a stronger handle on what you'd really like to do. It can also be very useful for some projects around the house that could benefit from some inspiration. Sextiles usually create opportunities, so look to your home environment for clues that could point you toward a job that will be satisfying. Virgos love details, which comes in handy in a plethora of careers. However, they also tend to be extremely critical of everything and everyone, including their boss, and often get into difficulty for being honest to a fault. Neptune could even be blinding you to some of your mistakes in this area by convincing you that being brutally frank is always an asset. Catching mistakes and doing it right are definitely strong points, but barking at people and earning the reputation of being a pain in the butt are not. Perfectionism easily comprises tact and diplomacy, which hails most strongly from fair Libra, but being the logical person you are, I know you can work on it if you make a conscious effort. Most bosses see a grumpy nit-picker as a liability, regardless of how outstanding their work is, so give it some thought if you want to advance. From November 1 - 8, Mars in Cancer, your Natural 11th House of groups, friends, and hopes & wishes, will be trining the Sun in Scorpio, your Natural 3rd House of intellect and your immediate neighborhood. Mars is somewhat subdued in soggy Water Sign, Cancer, but he'll be imparting some energy toward your group activities nonetheless. While trining the Sun in your 3rd House he's likely to generate some ideas relative to any organizational connections you may have or perhaps get you all fired up to have some friends over. Virgos tend to treat their friends like family, which, granted, isn't always a good thing, but for these purposes we'll assume it is. The holidays are right around the corner, so why not get in the mood by bringing some fun into your life, perhaps by inviting some people over to watch a football game or other activity? If you don't do this by the 15th, you probably won't, because your incentive is going to take a nose dive about then, when it's Mars' turn to go RX. He only does this every two years, but it will definitely cause your enthusiasm to wane, which will be in effect until the end of January. Until then you'll be more likely to do your Virgo nitpicky thing and note all the flaws relative to any of your group associations and all the reasons you're wasting your time with them. You'd do better to direct that internal energy toward some nice, detailed definitions of what your hopes and wishes are and how you plan to get there. Venus starts the month in your Sign, which will throw some extra charm your way, but from November 5 - 8 she'll be squaring Pluto in Sagittarius, your Natural 4th House, which as you recall with your superior memory comprises your home environment. Virgos tend to be as critical of themselves as they are of others, and these few days you'll be especially prone to beating yourself up over something that occurred in your past, probably related to your family in some way, that probably didn't turn out too well. Pluto gets a bad rap more often than not, but all he's really trying to do is make you face something eye to eye, acknowledge what happened, deal with it, learn from it, and then move on. If you do it right, you'll be able to flush it away like so much crap and get on with your life, significantly wiser, so don't pass up the opportunity. That New Moon in Scorpio on the 9th should help you put it to rest, once and for all, and turn over a new leaf. Later in the month, between November 19 - 23, Mars RX will square Venus in your Natural 2nd House of possessions, pleasures, and finances. This, of course, does not bode well for male-female relationships in general. This does not apply only to your significant other, but anyone of the opposite gender, up to and including that idiot in front of you in line at Starbucks. Looking at the Houses involved, I would advise against loaning anything out, particularly to a group or organization, because there's a good chance it will either disappear or come back broken. And more than likely, the culprit will be someone of the opposite sex. Bear in mind that this is Thanksgiving week, so if there's a family get-together planned, brace yourself, and don't let anyone borrow that heirloom turkey platter if you want it to stay in one piece. This is further exacerbated by Uranus, planet of surprises, upsets and change, getting into the act around that same timeframe. Mark my words and don't say I didn't warn you. The Full Moon this month on the 24th is in Gemini, your Natural 10th House of career and reputation. This could hail a culmination or new phase in this area, which, of course, could tie into all the job discussion above. Bear in mind that your job and work as addressed through your 6th House is different that your career. The former is much more detailed and how you earn your living, while your career is more how you make your mark on the world and not necessarily your living. Ideally, you want your job and career to be in synch, but this takes effort and cannot always be achieved inspite of the best laid plans of mice and men, if you catch my meaning. This month has its share of challenges, to be sure, but the good news is that from November 25 - 28 there's a nice trine between Venus and Neptune in your 2nd and 6th houses, respectively. This looks like a very good time for you to pay some attention to your health. If you need to clean up your eating habits, start a fitness program, or something similar, here's a little kiss of good luck from the universe to get you started. Virgos tend to have high blood pressure as a result of their critical, impatient nature, so if nothing else see what you can do to work on that, whatever your age. Take a nice, leisurely trip to your local healthfood store and see what you can find to help you remain healthy if not happy for a good, long time. |
