Mercury Retrograde 10/29/2006

Neptune Posigrade 10/29/2006

This is the first time in about three months that there haven't been any planets in your sign.  This doesn't mean there's nothing going on, only that the focus has shifted to areas slightly less personal.  First of all, for most of the month there is a T-Square out there that involves Saturn, Jupiter and Neptune.  This is probably causing a lot of mental and psychological activity, perhaps related to your job and other responsibilities.  Saturn is a stern task master.  He causes delays and also represents authority figures of various types.  Virgos tend to be very self-critical as it is, and this could be causing you a significant amount of additional grief.  Jupiter in your Natural 3rd House of mental activity is probably a good thing, provided you're focused on constructive thoughts.  Conversely, you could be obsessing on something that is entire lacking in value.

The third planet in this triad, however, is retrograde Neptune in your 6th House of work, health and pets.  In this particular state, ol' King Neptune is the master of delusion and all that mental activity might not be based on reality.  The good news is that by the end of the month he will change directions, which should provide some inspiration, even if it's a bit idealistic, pertaining to your job situation.  He will also be breaking out of the T-Square so the energy will be slightly less intense.

Uranus, planet of change, unexpected events and surprises, could be messing with you and your relationships a bit, especially if your birthday is around August 30 - September 5.  Pluto is still probably noticeable in your Natural 4th House of home environment where he could be taking the fact he's peeved about being demoted to a Dwarf Planet out on your home environment.  This could be anything from roach infestations to plumbing problems or power struggles with your landlord or mortgage company.  This one is going to last for a while, but a lot of that stuff fall under the way life is, sometimes.

Probably the center of action this month is neighboring sign, Libra, where the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars are all hanging out until the 24th.  That means there's a lot of energy in your Natural 2nd House which governs your possessions.  This is not necessarily a bad thing.  The Full Moon in Aries on the 6th could be a good time to buy or sell something.  Perhaps it's time for one of those Virgo cleaning frenzies and a garage sale is in order.  Full Moons often signify endings so that seems somehow apropos.  The New Moon occurs in Libra, concentrating a lot of energy there since the Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars are all in extremely close proximity to one another and forming a tight conjunction.  Jupiter and Mercury are in Scorpio in very, very close alignment, also, which should really enhance your communication skills.  This is a good time to convey any ideas you may have been working on since you should be able to do so well.

However, make sure that you don't put it off more than a few days because on the 29th Mercury, who is also your Ruling Planet, goes into one of his infamous retrograde cycles again.  Since he's your ruling planet this is particularly onerous because it will really clutter up your thought processes, perhaps more so with Jupiter so close by.  As it is, the rest of the world suffers during this time as computers crash, cars and appliances break down, cell phones die and most human communications are strained at best.  For you it is all that and more, i.e. your thoughts will be jumbled and concentration lost in a fog.

When all those planets march into Scorpio on the 24th, expect a significant assault on your mental activity.  Whatever is on your mind could easily become an obsession, at least for a while.  Not only are Mars, the Sun and Venus still traveling together and packing quite a wallop, but Jupiter and Retrograde Mercury are still in cahoots as well.  Thus, your mind is going to be incredible occupied with various thoughts but your ability to communicate them is going to be quite handicapped.  As meticulous and concise as Virgos like to be, this will create a lot of frustration.  In addition, the Moon will spend at least part of the day messing around with Uranus, which could generate a surprise of some sort relative to a close relationship.

This should be a busy month, possibly only mentally, but by the time it's over you'll probably be pretty tired.  Mercury is retrograde until November 18, so don't expect too much from yourself until after that.
