Lunations and Long-Term Aspects This month's New Moon is on August 9, your 2nd House of finances, income, possessions, needs and pleasures, so watch for something new to come your way in that part of your life. This lunation isn't particularly friendly as far as its accompanying aspects are concerned which comprise a T-square that involves six different planets with on Mercury and Neptune sitting it out. A T-square typically brings conflicts which pull against each other. While life's challenges are at least a nuisance and at worst a major source of stress, this is also how we grow and progress as a person. Like they say, "No pain, no gain." This particular T-square comprises several outer planets which will keep it in effect for quite a while. The fact that all of the players are currently in Cardinal Signs, which are action-oriented, makes it even more dynamic. If your birthday is between June 22 - 26 you can expect even more influence since it will form a Grand Cross with your Natal Sun. Here are some things to watch for. They won't necessarily be earth-shattering, but they'll be noticeable and influence your life in some way. First of all, responsibilities at home are likely to increase or change in some way, perhaps due to other factors in your life. These could relate to your career or other change of status. Remember that "status" incorporates all sorts of things, particularly those things that would be in the public eye or record. If you're involved with Facebook, you'll note that your updates are called "status" so put that in mind as well. These can be such things as getting married or divorced, getting any sort of license, becoming a parent or homeowner, receiving public recognition, being promoted or fired, and so forth. With Jupiter retrograde, ethics issues could be involved in some manner. Your relationship with your significant other or spouse should be enhanced as well from this lunation, though other activities could interfere with your plans. With Pluto in your 7th House you can expect a variety of changes with your close relationships. Any old unresolved issues are going to no longer remain silent and you can expect a major turnover in the people you associate with on a regular basis, whether it's your hair stylist, accountant, broker or attorney as well as close friends and relatives. Those who are no longer useful to you will be eliminated and you'll be seeing people's true colors like never before; this will be in effect for several years. For this month, the disruptions and issues in effect will bring out who's your friend and who isn't, whom you can depend on and whom you can't. The Full Moon on August 24 is in fellow Water Sign, Pisces, and will trine the Natal Sun for those of you born right around June 23. Pisces is your 9th House of beliefs, expectations, religion, politics, relocation, foreign travel, and so forth, so watch for a culmination or shift to a new phase with something that fits into this part of your life. In particular expect a few adjustments to your emotional commitment regarding your home responsibilities. The T-square described above is still in effect, so expect more of the same there. Watch for good things involving your siblings or neighbors, perhaps in resolving old issues once and for all. You may have to make a few adjustments to reach a resolution, including how you see a person or situation. Your insights and understanding will be affected as well. Daily and Short-term Aspects August 2: Spend some time contemplating your status and whether it suits you. Are you spending your time in energy where your heart is or where someone else has told you it should be? August 3: If you're wondering about where you can make your greatest contribution, you may encounter an opposing view from someone close to you. Listen objectively, consider their input, but don't change your position without truly believing it's the right course. Something from your past may also be nudging you in a different direction from where you really need to go. August 4: A favorable day to do something enjoyable with a neighbor or sibling which will have a lasting effect on you. August 6: Venus enters Libra, your 4th House of home environment, which should bring favorable experiences your way at home. August 7: Something unexpected may keep you from something you'd planned to do with your family or around the house. August 8: Your family will need your love and attention today. This is one area where Cancers can excel, so give it your all. August 9: New Moon today as described above. Issues involving home versus career or other activities related to your status are likely to arise. Relationship issues, perhaps old ones that have been buried or ignored, are also likely. August 10: Financial issues or something you'd like to do will be highlighted and tie back to those relationship and status issues. August 13: Uranus backs into Pisces today through retrograde motion bringing the unexpected and the potential for disruptions to your beliefs, foreign travel, legal matters or higher learning. Anything you have going on in those areas is likely to come out differently than you expected. This will be in effect through March. August 16: You may be torn between home and career today. Consider where you can be replaced more easily in your decision if you're feeling guilty about letting someone down. August 20: If you've been unrealistic or not seeing things clearly with regard to your financial situation, you should be able to cut through the fog today. It's also a favorable day for interacting with the opposite sex. Mercury goes retrograde today until September 11. Remember not to buy anything electronic or mechanical during that time, though it is a favorable time to rethink, re-do, edit or revise something that requires further thought and consideration. August 21: If there's someone in your life that is really more trouble than they're worth, give that serious thought today. August 22: The Sun enters Virgo, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings and short journeys, bringing emphasis to this part of your life. Watch for something unexpected to come up which will require some adjustments to your schedule. August 24: Find some quiet time today to do some serious thinking about anything that's bothering you. Chances are you need to change direction or make some adjustments. Full Moon today as described above. August 25: Focus on your relationship with neighbors and siblings and whether or not things are as they should be. Be as objective and honest as you can while also listening to your heart. |
