Lunations and Long Term Aspects

This month the New Moon on the 12th occurs in Gemini, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings and familiar journeys.  As always, the lunations set the tone for the month and give you some idea of what to expect.  Since Aries tend to be a bit impulsive, it never hurts to have a bit of advance notice so you can think about it for more than a nanosecond.

Gemini is a sign that keeps busy with lots of mental activity, so you can expect lots of that including some new projects or perhaps a new phase of those already in-work.  If your birthday is within a day or so of April 11 this lunation will sextile your Natal Sun and thus have more impact.  Watch for opportunities to get into something new during this time.  The New Moon itself isn't aspecting any of the other planets, which is somewhat unusual, but there are quite a few others getting into the act which will further color the influence.

Most obvious and possibly significant is a Yod or Finger of God that involves Venus in Cancer and Saturn in Virgo at the base and Neptune in Aquarius representing the eye.  A Yod looks like an arrowhead, something most Aries, at least of the male persuasion, can relate to, and typically points the way toward something that may be fated that you should do.  Venus is in your 4th House of home environment and represents your finances as well as your love for those in your household.  Saturn in picky Virgo, your 6th House of work, health, service and pets, easily stands for either your responsibilities at work or possibly an authority figure.  Being tied together by sextile, a favorable aspect, this implies that those at home are in synch with your work efforts, which may refer to work around the home as well as your day job.  Neptune at the eye is in Aquarius, your 11th House of friends, groups, goals, networking and associations.  All this implies that it's time to reach for the stars by doing some networking for which you have the support you need from the people in your life.  If you have some dream you've been wanting to pursue but have put off, maybe it's time to move forward.

However, your Sign Ruler, Mars, is right in the middle of things and opposing Neptune, throwing a bit of a curve toward this situation, whatever it might be.  Mars, like Saturn, is in Virgo, your house of work, which implies that you may be too busy with your daily activities to recognize the opportunity to do something better.  Mars is making numerous contacts besides this one which are worth thinking about since it will impact Rams more dramatically than other signs.  For one thing, Mars is squaring Mercury in Gemini, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and familiar trips.  Mercury is dignified with this placement since he rules Gemini.  This implies a lot of mental activity or perhaps running around, which could impose more speedbumps toward pursuing other paths.

Mars' trine to Pluto in Capricorn, your 10th House of status and reputation, combined with Pluto's quincunx to Mercury implies some deep considerations regarding where you are versus where you want to go are the key to getting around those obstacles, largely by reworking your goals.  Mars is also quincunx both Jupiter and Uranus, both in partile conjunction in Aries.  This conjunction will be especially strong if your birthday is within a day or so of March 21.  This will stir up your sense of independence and perhaps even rebellion to the point you may find it very difficult to sit still!  Thoughts and considerations are bouncing around all over the place, so don't be surprised if it's a major challenge to sort everything out.

The Full Moon this month on the 26th is also a Lunar Eclipse, which gives it a lot more significance; being lunar, it implies a strong emotional influence.  It's a member of 12 South in the Saros Series which, according to eclipse guru Bernadette Brady, "will bring successful outcomes to long-term worries or illness.  An issue which has worried or drained the individual for some time will at first seem worse and then clear, with successful outcomes."  This of course implies that things will get worse before they get better, but nonetheless, they will get better, which should be encouraging.  Mars is quiescent in this chart, leaving any action you wish to take entirely up to you.

One aspect that stands out is a "T-square from hell" that has at least two planets at each corner, including the eclipse itself.  This sets a general theme of opposition between home and career with a very strong desire to break free from your current situation, whatever it might be.  Your sense of responsibility will be in a tug-o-war with independence, but if you're willing to make a few inspired adjustments to your original thoughts and take a slightly different path, you should be able to attain that happy ending.  If your birthday is right around April 1st significant events over which you have no control will have a strong influence.  Eclipse energy and influence endure for several months so this will be a work in progress; the solar eclipse component occurs next month.
