Long-term Aspects and Lunations

The New Moon this month on the 12th in Saj's polar sign, Gemini, your 7th House of close relationships.  As always this includes not only your significant other but close friends and relatives, business partners, competitors and professionals with whom you interact one-on-one such as your broker, accountant, hairstylist, and so forth.  This lunation has a lot going on that is likely to make for an interesting month.  For starters, there's a Yod or Finger of God, an aspect that typically indicates a change of direction toward something new.  This one comprises Venus and Saturn at the base and Neptune at the eye.  Venus is in Cancer, your 8th House of transformations, debt, death and regeneration, inheritances, and in some cases, sex.  Anciently sex was included in the 5th House with romance and entertainment but it found its way into the 8th about the time Freud came on the scene.  I tend to put things in the 8th House which can be traumatic and/or impact your psyche.  It usually has to do with those experiences after which you're a slightly different person, even if you can't exactly define why.  So you can decide if it belongs there for you or not.

Anyway, moving right along, Saturn is in Virgo, your 10th House of career, reputation, public image and status.  Remember that status covers a lot of ground.  Anything that involves a title, label, may wind up in the newspaper or public record and so forth.  This includes getting married or divorced, promoted or fired, opening or closing a business, becoming a parent, especially for the first time, and a host of other things, but you should get the idea.  In other words, it encompasses a whole lot besides your career, which is typically how it's referred to for brevity's sake.  With Saturn in this house you're likely to be encountering some challenges in this part of your life.  You may be in the process of changing careers or some other transition that is requiring effort on your part.  Saturn is the author of guilt and hard lessons and also represents older individuals who have theoretically at least accumulated wisdom over their numerous years.  The sextile tying Venus and Saturn together usually denotes an opportunity.  The best case scenario for this one would be inheriting a bunch of money that allows you to shift your focus entirely, though probably also the most remote.

However you look at it, Venus in your 8th House is certainly not typically going to be what you'd call a bad transit.  Venus rules your 6th House of work, health and pets as well as your 11th of friends, groups, organizations and goals, so these may be involved as well.  Saturn, on the other hand, is seldom what you'd call enchanting, so if nothing else this may help bring something positive your way with whatever Saturn has been up to; it will be most noticeable if it's either on your Midheaven or 10th House cusp or a planet in that vicinity.  So, in a nutshell, look for an opportunity, even if it's not more than a major shift in your attitude for the positive, that relates to your career or status in some way.

Neptune is in Aquarius, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings, and short journeys, which usually include your daily commute and running local errands.  Neptune rules dreams, inspiration, enlightenment, dimensions beyond what's typically dubbed reality, spirituality, and so forth, though he can also instigate illusions or delusions.  Think of Neptune as ruling the cinema, where what you see on the screen, 3-D or otherwise, is no more than an illusion, no matter how real it may seem to be.  Another example would be chasing rainbows.  So it may not be real, even though it was for Mr. Kellogg who initially dreamed about the process for making cornflakes, which put his name on the historical map.  Thus, Neptune at the eye doesn't seem to indicate a destination per se so much as seeing things slightly different.

Another major aspect with this lunation is your Sign Ruler, Jupiter, in conjunction with Uranus in Aries, where both planets have recently ingressed.  This shift of energy has tremendous potential and brings to my mind the image of Zeus wielding thunderbolts.  While these two cruised through Pisces they were essentially singing Kumbaya, but now it's going to be We Will Rock You.  This combination certainly looks like an explosion of some description and for you, in fellow Fire Sign, Aries, it's likely to show up in your 5th House of ego definition, creativity, children, romance, entertainment, or speculation.  This is the "Fun House" of the zodiac, and as noted above, according to your preference it may also contain sex.  So this transit implies a big surprise of some description in this part of you life.

This conjunction is not alone as far as this lunation is concerned.  In fact, every planet other than Mercury is getting into the act in some way or another.  Pluto is squaring the dynamic duo from Capricorn, your 2nd House of finance, possessions, income, needs and pleasures.  Thus, there could be an impact to this part of your life that is likely to not be exactly welcome.  Saturn is opposing the pair from your aforementioned 10th House of career, status and reputation, which implies an impact there as well which will indicate a challenge of some sort.  Mars is in the act as well from your 10th House, this time with a quincunx that suggests a change of direction as a result.  Venus in Cancer, your 8th House described earlier, is the only planet throwing an overtly positive trine in that direction, which implies that whatever is going on will ultimately have a positive effect on you as transformations go.  Maybe, whatever it is, will provide some money which most of us can always use, especially these days.

There's also another aspect pattern that as far as I know doesn't have a name, but it's a closed-loop of energy worth noting.  It involves Mercury, Mars and Pluto which suggests that news or information from someone close to you is going to affect your finances in some way and further motivate your actions with regard to your career or public image.  One possibility for this combination would be you find out from your significant other that you're getting a new client (or losing an existing one) which will impact your finances as well as your status.  However, the change will ultimately have a positive effect.

The Full Moon this month is also a Lunar Eclipse which occurs on June 26 in Capricorn.  The primary aspect associated with this one has what can best be described as the "T-Square from Hell."  This is because there are two astrological entities at each corner, including the Sun/Moon at the base.  Furthermore, the Sun is conjunct Mercury, the Moon is conjunct Pluto, and the two planets at the apex are none other than Jupiter and Uranus, as if they didn't already stir up enough with the New Moon.

The eclipse is part of the 12 South family of the Saros Series which has the theme according to eclipse guru, Bernadette Brady, of relating to something you've been dealing with for a long time which is going to get worse before it gets better, but it WILL get better and be resolved such that it's no longer a problem.  The eclipse itself falls across your 2nd/8th axis, indicating impact to your finances, with the dynamic duo in your 5th initiating the situation.  Saturn is opposing Jupiter and Uranus, which should help stabilize them to some degree.  There's another one of those closed-loop aspects here as well, this time comprising Mercury, Saturn and Neptune.  This one implies that unfortunate news that impacts your career/status rebuilding activities can be resolved through using your imagination and inspiration which will turn it all around to your advantage.
