Lunations and Long Term Aspects This month's New Moon is on October 7th in Libra, your 2nd House, which includes such things as your finances, possessions, and other things you value, such as your needs, wants and pleasures. However, the presence of stern Saturn and logical Mercury in close enough proximity to the New Moon to be felt is likely to put a bit of a damper on any plans you may have in that area. As an Earth Sign you're reasonably conservative when it comes to money, anyway, unless you have anything in your chart messing that up, so you should be able to handle this with one of your typical shrugs as you deal with a very imperfect world. Pluto is in your 5th House for the long-haul, a placement which is putting his back-hoe to work on such things as your creative efforts, ego definition, children, romantic interests, speculation and even entertainment. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Renovations are often quite beneficial, once you get past the mess. If you're a work-a-holic, which many Virgos seems to be, maybe it's simply time to bring more balance into your life in this area. If your birthday is right around August 26 this should be something that gets your attention this month in one way or another but the ultimate effect should be positive, so don't resist the change. Upsets and surprises due to philosophical differences with close friends, family members or business partners are likely to continue, particularly for those of your born between September 19 - 22. These are not trivial issues so they are going to take a while to iron out, most likely sometime around the first part of 2011. While it's always easy to place blame on someone else, be sure to examine your own role as objectively as possible because more often than not it does "take two." The Full Moon on October 22nd is in the tail-end of Aries, about a sneeze away from Taurus, but in Aries, nonetheless. Aries is your 8th house of transformations, sex, death, taxes, and shared resources. This is where you learn or experience something that has a lasting effect on you. The 29th degree of every sign has a bit of a bad reputation and there's quite a bit going on as all the other planets are putting in their two cents worth. A female sibling or neighbor may cause some irritations that relate to responsibility or it may simply be your own thoughts, specifically about money, that cause some friction. This is a favorable time to put together some long-term plans and set them in motion. If you're wondering about your job or health, investigate your concerns carefully and you'll gain the insights you need. A change of course with those problems with someone close to you is prescribed, so don't dig in your heels just yet. Put on your thinking cap and you'll find a new course of action.
