Lunations and Long Term Aspects The New Moon this month is in your Sign, Aries, so expect something new to come your way. Of course you're starting a new cycle with a new Solar Return as well since your birthday is right around now so if you're wondering what the coming year may be like consider getting a Solar Return Report to find out what the Universe has on your agenda. This is going to be a powerful lunation and an incredible year for you based on the fact that there is an amazing cluster of planets in your sign. Not only are the Sun and Moon there but also Mars, Uranus, Jupiter and Mercury, throwing energy galore in your direction. Since your sign tends to be energetic anyway, you need to brace yourself for an influx of astrological steroids which are likely to be quite intimidating to those around you. Actually that's a bit of an understatement since you may always be intimidating to those around you. Rather, when you walk into a room you may notice that people head for the exits or hide beneath the nearest large object. But of course, for you, this is not necessarily a bad thing. For those of you born on April 3, the day of the New Moon, this affect may be in force for the entire year, so brace yourself. All those planets are going to be conjunct the natal Sun of those with different birthdays, giving a slightly different spin to the energy, even though collectively it's going to throw quite a wallop. The lunation itself with the propensity to bring something new and significant into your life will be strongest for those of you born right around April 4th. Those born right around March 22 will be energized with the drive to break away from something and perhaps move toward something entirely different in a very abrupt manner. If your birthday is right around April 6, expanding your current interests will be emphasized and for those of you born around April 14, you will be rethinking, re-planning or reconsidering something that needs some changes before moving forward. Currently Saturn is retrograde in your polar sign, Libra, which is your house of close relationships, business partnerships, and competitors and with it opposing the New Moon you can expect some obstacles, delays or boundaries to get in your way which you'll need to solve before true progress can be made. You're typically not the most patient sign on the astrological block and will be less than enchanted to know that this is going to last for a few months, until at least June and possibly as late as September. This may be even more frustrating than usual due to all that energy in Aries driving you forward, but unfortunately that's the way it is. Thus you're well-advised to don a crash helmet because you're going to be bumping up against a few walls for a while. Mercury retrograde only lasts until April 22 but during that time you should be doing your rethinking and so forth. The big boulder in your way may not move for several more months, but at least you'll have some idea how to go about it. Also worth noting is the fact that Venus is in Pisces, your 12th House of inspiration, enlightenment, dreams, angels and demons which may be helpful in attaining some additional help in solving your current issues, whatever they may be. The love goddess is sextile Pluto in Capricorn, your 10th house of career, status, reputation and public image, implying an opportunity to resolve something in that part of your life that may have been festering for a while. The Full Moon on April 17 is in your polar sign, Libra, your 7th House of relationships as defined above. This lunation will be strongest for those of you born right around April 18 and will follow you for the entire year in your solar return. A Full Moon typically brings an ending or shift to a new phase which in this case will be most noticeable with regard to your close relationships. As mentioned earlier, Saturn is retrograde in that house where he is busy restructuring something in that part of your life. You may not be entirely aware of what it is, but by June it should become apparent, then you'll have until fall to get it taken care of. With Mercury still retrograde at this time, there will be some emphasis on making some major changes to existing plans. Venus, still in your 12th house of inspiration, is working with the Moon to effect a change of course or an adjustment, again related to someone well-known by you. This burst of energy will diminish once the Sun goes into Taurus on the 21st with most of the other planets out of there by mid-May with the exception of Uranus and Jupiter who will be there for a while longer. Be aware of this source of energy while it lasts this month and put it to good use, then expect it to quiet down a bit after that though it will still be there in your solar return for the coming year so this should be an excellent time to move forward with new endeavors. |
