Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon on April 3rd is in nextdoor astrological neighbor, Aries, your 12th house of dreams, imagination, spirituality, institutions, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing, a.k.a. your house of "angels and demons." Given the fact there are so many planets in Aries currently along with the New Moon this is bound to have some noticeable impact on your life in one of these areas. If your birthday is on or immediately around May 4th this will have the greatest impact. If you've watched the news lately you've already seen the effect this plethora of planets is having on the world in general. With the planet that rules uprisings and rebellion (Uranus) as well as the ones which rule earthquakes (Mercury and Jupiter) in this sign, it's no wonder and there will undoubtedly be more to come. Other birthdays affected and what to watch for include those of you born right around April 22, who are likely to be taken by complete surprise by something. This could range from a surprise attack from someone you thought was your friend to a sudden flash of innovative inspiration which takes you in an entirely new direction. Since Uranus is involved in this one, there is no telling how it will manifest, but it surely will. This may initially be an annoyance but can be massaged into an opportunity if you're paying attention. If your birthday is right around May 6, efforts to expand your spiritual horizons will be met with resistance courtesy of Saturn, which I'll get to shortly. In fact, you folks born around May 4th are going to have to deal with that also, but I digress. Those of you born around May 15th are going to have to rethink revise, reconsider or revisit something that lies in your 12th house. Remember this is your house of angels and demons. I hate to say this because I like to emphasize the positive, but your sign has an inclination to be rather vindictive when it comes to your relationships, largely because Scorpio rules that natural house for you. Thus, if you're up to anything that fits that category, you might want to rethink it. Karma can be a bitch. That said, let's take a look at Saturn. Saturn is retrograde in Libra, your 6th house of work, service, health and pets. Saturn is known as a malefic planet with good reason. He is the king of karma, author of hard lessons and frequently the source of fear. Saturn rules responsibility, meeting our obligations, and authority figures in general whether it's that dude at the bank, the IRS, or that cop who just nailed you for speeding. While retrograde Saturn's motive is to stir something up at the subconscious level which needs to be restructured, which in this case will relate to those matters contained in your 6th house, such as your job, taking care of your health or service activities. You may not even know what this is until mid-June when he goes direct. However, you may be able to glean at least a clue based on how you react to this lunation. If you feel as if you're being held back, as if you're trying to drive with the emergency brake on, then take a careful look in that direction. On a more cheerful subject, your sign ruler, Venus, is in Pisces, your 11th house of friends, organizations, groups, networking and those goals which require the help of others to achieve. This is a very favorable placement for activities in this part of your life. For this lunation Venus is sextile Pluto who's in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, where he's going to be for a long, long time. Capricorn is your 9th house of higher learning, legal matters, beliefs and expectations, philosophy of life, religion, politics, other cultures, travel to unfamiliar places and our general integration into society as a whole. Pluto will be nudging you to rid yourself of anything which has become worn out and no longer useful in this area. The implications of this aspect with Venus are that ridding yourself of something will benefit your goals, group activities or circle of friends. This smells a lot like an attitude, so take a look at what you have going on in your 9th and act accordingly. The Full Moon on April 17th is in Libra, your 6th house of work and such as defined above. A Full Moon generally brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase or cycle. This implies something which is going to tie in with that Saturn transit or at least give you another clue regarding what it's about. There are still a bunch of planets as well as the Sun in Aries to contend with and Saturn's gaze has shifted to some different ones than earlier. If your birthday is around May 3rd you need to watch your back, especially at work. You also need to watch your own behavior such that it doesn't fall in the self-defeating category. Rethinking and reconsidering something is also tying back to work and Saturn's tromp through your 6th House. A change of course with regard to your 11th house of friends, organizations, goals or networking is also suggested at this time. Neptune has recently slipped into that realm, a.k.a. Pisces, the sign he rules, giving him a very comfortable and effective environment for his energy. Inspiration in this area will increase which can be very helpful, at least in the near term as it relates to the Full Moon and making some adjustments to this part of your life. However, as time progresses, be aware that Neptune also quite liberally hands out rose-colored glasses which can result in illusions, idealism, delusions and a lack of realism which can cause problems. He returns to Aquarius in early August then returns to Pisces to stay in February 2012. See if you can sense his energy so you can recognize and utilize it. His influence should be useful if you're not sure what changes need to be made to your 11th house. |
