Lunations and Long Term Aspects The New Moon this month is on April 3rd in Aries, your 8th house of transformation, sex, death and regeneration as well as shared resources and debt. Also, mark it on your calendar right now to not take any unnecessary chances between now and May 13 while Mars is in this house, a transit which can predispose you to accidents and other unpleasantries. There a an unprecedented number of planets in Aries making the energy largely off the charts. All you have to do is turn on the news, wherever you happen to be, and see numerous examples of what all this energy in Aries is up to. For those of you born within a day or so of September 6 this is probably going to bring something new into you life that relates to your 8th House and is going to necessitate a change of course or justifying strongly where you're currently headed. Considering the planetary line-up other dates will have a direct hit as well. Those born around August 25 need to especially be wary of accidents or something entirely unexpected that could have a major impact and likewise cause you to change directions. If your birthday is right around September 9th, you may be faced with confronting a financial issue or be held back from expanding something in that part of your life. Those born around September 17 will have your Sign Ruler, Mercury, who's also retrograde, telling you to revise or rethink something with regard to this part of your life and thus effect a transformation. Saturn is in nextdoor neighboring sign, Libra, your 2nd house of finances, income, possession, needs and pleasures. Being retrograde, this will be stirring things up in this part of your life with regard to something which needs to be restructured. You may not yet be aware of this necessity, but will be by mid-June. Those of you most affected by this will also be those with birthdays around September 6, since Saturn is opposing the New Moon, making it integral to the lunation's effects. Thus, it's best to batten down the hatches with regard to your finances. On the positive side, Venus has been transiting your 7th house of close relationships which should bode well for that part of your life, at least. Venus is sextile Pluto, who's settled down for the long-haul in Capricorn, your 5th House of children, ego definition, romance, entertainment and speculation. Pluto's function is to eliminate anything that is worn or outdated which will be concentrated in this part of your life. Given the houses involved, this could bode well for rejuvenating a romantic relationship or perhaps resolving something from the past which has been ignored for too long. Watch for opportunities to resolve anything of that nature around the time of the New Moon and make it a new start. The Full Moon on April is in Libra, likewise your 2nd house of possessions, income and so forth. A Full Moon typically brings an ending, culmination or shift to a different phase. A change of direction is suggested with regard to a relationship and seems to have the flavor of a spouse or significant other having an effect on your income or possessions in some way. Neptune has just stepped into your 7th house of relationships which has a nice, dreamy flavor to it, but that is not always a good thing. With this lunation it bodes well for having some pleasurable outing with a touch of fantasy, which may be as simple as going out to take in a movie. However, also be wary of being unrealistic with anything that relates to money and people close to you. You are fairly practical by nature as an Earth Sign, so make sure you keep this in the forefront and don't fall for something (or someone) you normally wouldn't. If something involves a lot of money and a person, let this flash a red light for you to give it careful attention before proceeding. If nothing else, remember that Mercury is retrograde until April 22 so purchasing anything of an electronic or mechanical nature during that time is ill-advised. Also, with your Sign Ruler doing the backstroke, your thought processes may not be at their best, either. So, at the least, postpone any major decisions until Mercury goes direct, the longer after that date you can wait the better. |
