Lunations and Long Term Aspects

The New Moon on January 4th is also a Solar Eclipse, giving it additional influence. This occurs in Capricorn, your 10th House of career, public image and status, so watch for something new to come your way in this part of your life. If your birthday is within a day or so of April 3rd this will have an even stronger effect. Solar Eclipses tend to bring events and situations into your life which may seem somewhat unimportant at the time yet will have enduring effects; on the other hand, they may not be subtle at all. This eclipse is a member of the 13 North family of the Saros Series. This series tends to relate to major group projects which will encounter a separation or break of some sort prior to completion. On the individual level this can manifest as a separation of some sort followed by a group achievement. This specific eclipse, as noted above, is likely to show up in your 10th House.

You have probably been experiencing a lot of activity on the spiritual plane, even if you've been largely unaware of it. This would show up in such things as unusual or vivid dreams, an imagination which is more active than usual, a sense of restlessness or need to break free from something, or even an inclination to spend more time alone than usual. For those of you with a birthday right around April 17 - 19 this will have been more noticeable. This eclipse may finally flush something out into the open in this part of your life as you recognize what these weird promptings have been trying to say. Challenges or conflicts with regard to your responsibilities toward one or more relationships will arise as well and also relate to your career or public image in some way. Your sign ruler, Mars, is in Capricorn as well, so your drive and energy in this part of your life is strong at this time.

In fact, for the eclipse the Sun, Moon, Mars and Pluto are all in Capricorn so this provides a while bunch of energy in this part of your life. The North Lunar Node is there as well, implying something new coming into this part of your life. Be open to new ideas and attitudes which may cause some friction but will nonetheless be useful in determining your new path. Your experiences with any group activities may have seemed futile in some way for quite a while now. Satisfaction in this part of your life is probably not what you would like it to be since disappointments are highly likely. Your sense of direction has probably been foggy as well, particularly those with those mid-April birthdays mentioned earlier. It is very possible that this eclipse will bring about a rather important change, so pay attention to what's going on around you so you don't miss it.

The Full Moon on January 19 occurs in Cancer, your 4th House of home environment, memories, and cultural roots. A Full Moon typically brings an ending or culmination, though these, in turn, also imply a new beginning. There is still a lot of energy in your 10th House of career and status, which may be the catalyst. Adjustments or a change of course will be required with regard to your goals or group activities and home life. Now is the time to pay particular attention to your dreams and any inspiration that comes your way. This lunation will be strongest for those of you with birthdays on or right around April 20th.
