Long-term Aspects and Lunations This month the New Moon on January 4th in Capricorn is also a Solar Eclipse, giving it a lot of extra energy which will be expressed in your 2nd House of income, finances, needs, values and pleasures. This eclipse is a member of the 13 North family of the Saros Series which has a generic meaning relating to major group projects where a separation or breaking of a bond is required before it can be successfully competed. On the individual level, this is true in roughly the same way. This specific eclipse has some additional meaning as well which will help you figure out what to look for. First of all, Mars, Pluto and the North Lunar Node are all in Capricorn as well, giving it a large energy concentration. You will have plenty of energy to move forward, but you need to resolve something from your past before you can make any progress. Something is just waiting for you to get all your ducks in a row before a breakthrough will come your way. You have probably had some very serious goals you've been pursuing for some time now, and conflicts may arise in that area, especially if your birthday is right around December 9. Responsibilities to friends or organizations may be getting in your way or perhaps you need to develop more restraint or discipline in this part of your life. In other words, if you spent too much time playing there may not be any time, energy or money left to do what's most important. Following your dreams or seeking inspiration is favored, provided you are not deceiving yourself or ignoring reality. Favorable surprises at home are possible, however. One thing worth noting is that all the planets are in direct motion for over three and half weeks this month. This is a very favorable time to move forward with anything you want to get done while this planetary energy is open and direct as opposed to being internalized. On January 26 Saturn breaks the spell by going retrograde, which may throw some serious delays or bureaucratic hassles toward your goals or interactions with friends, organizations or networking activities. While Saturn is retrograde he will be stirring up your subconscious with regard to something that needs to be restructured, though you will probably only be aware of a somewhat gloomy or heavy feeling that you can't quite identify. When he goes direct in June you'll become aware of what needs to be done, which should be accomplished by the time Saturn reaches the degree where he turned retrograde. If you choose to ignore it, it will compromise your progress and continue to get in your way until you resolve it. The Full Moon on January 19 is in Cancer, your 8th House of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, shared resources and debt. This will bring an ending or culmination which will also represent the beginning of a new cycle. Taking action on an idea or with regard to a sibling or neighbor is favored but be sure to make any necessary adjustments to make sure you're approaching it in a logical manner based on fact. Opportunities to expand or change your home environment are there with numerous beneficial results. |
