Lunations and Long Term Aspects The New Moon this month on the 12th in Gemini, your 6th House of your work, health, service, workers doing something for you, and pets, which will bring something new your way in this part of your life. There are a couple "stand-outs" with this lunation chart, the most noticeable of which is and derives from a partile conjunction between Jupiter and Uranus, both of which will be in Aries at that time. Aries is your 4th House of home environment and this conjunction implies major changes that could be sudden or unexpected in that part of your life. Uranus is going to be transiting this part of your chart for quite a while so expect the unexpected, disruptions, disturbances and goodness knows what else during that time. From mid-August through mid-March 2011 there will be a respite when he returns to Pisces due to retrograde motion, but after that he's there to stay for several years. You are likely to see an energy change in this part of your life already, which may give you some idea of what to expect. In addition to the conjunction itself, every planet except Mercury is aspecting this pair so this month should give you quite an introduction. For starters, Pluto is squaring them from your own Sign and if your birthday is around Christmas, you're already probably having all sorts of fun with your Pluto transit. However that is manifesting is thus likely to get some new challenge added to the ongoing dredging. As a fellow Cappy in that situation I can hardly wait. Your Sign Ruler, Saturn, is opposing them from Virgo, your 9th House of higher learning, beliefs and expectations, politics, religion, legal matters, other cultures and relocation where he recently came out of retrograde. Now it's time to do some restructuring in this part of your life which will probably be kicked off by some surprise cooked up by Uranus and Jupiter. If you have any plans that relate to something in that 9th House more than likely something at home is going to mess it up, one way or another. Mars, known for a variety of things that relate to him being a malefic planet, is quincunx that unstable pair in Aries, an aspect that implies an adjustment or change of direction. Again, this is hailing from your 9th House of beliefs and so forth to your home environment. Last but not least, especially since in this case we're dealing with a benefic planet and a harmonious trine, is Venus, who's in Cancer, your 7th House of close relationships. This suggests that something good will come from this in one or more relationships, so cross your fingers. Also present in this lunation chart is a Yod or Finger of God. Venus and Saturn comprise the base with Neptune defining the eye. This brings a close relationship and restructuring something such as your beliefs together to point toward something that may be slightly on the idealistic side as far as your finances and possessions are concerned. Neptune is in Aquarius, your 2nd House of finances, income, what you value, needs, and pleasures, and he just went retrograde the end of May. This tends to emphasize his idealism, which isn't always a good thing as it can be unrealistic. Nonetheless, dreams can come true and as they say if you can believe it you can achieve it. There is also a closed loop between Mars, Pluto and Mercury which are connected via a trine, quincunx and square, respectively. This suggests that acting on your beliefs or pursuing something in your 9th House such as foreign travel or relocation will bring a transformation your way which will result in a change of course where your work or health is concerned which could present an obstacle. Needless to say this is a very busy chart with a lot going on, most of which is going to take you by surprise. The Full Moon on June 26 is also a lunar eclipse, which will add significantly to its influence, perhaps by dragging out the effects. One thing weird about eclipses is sometimes the events that relate to it can actually occur BEFORE the eclipse! This has been theorized to relate more to the location of the lunar nodes, but a discussion of that is beyond the scope of this column to say the least. This chart certainly looks less than enchanting and contains what I would call the "T-Square from Hell" because it has two planets at each corner with the Sun and Moon themselves at the base, then that infamous Jupiter/Uranus conjunction at the apex. If your birthday is right around Christmas you're already having a Pluto transit like noted earlier, and the Moon is conjunct Pluto within less than a degree, so this will put your Pluto transit on steroid. Mercury is opposing them from next to the Sun, implying news or information from someone close to you will be involved. Are we having fun yet? Of course your Sign Ruler, Saturn, another malefic, is in there stirring things up as well from fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, that 9th House we've already beaten to death. Saturn is opposing Jupiter and Uranus which implies whatever surprises await at home are going to necessitate a new look at your beliefs or ambitions with respect to higher learning or some other 9th House matter as defined above. Saturn is squaring Mercury as well, indicating a conflict that arises from information provided by someone you know well with regard to that 9th House stuff. For example, say you've been planning a trip abroad or to go back to school but then something happens at home that precludes going. Bear in mind when "close relationships" are mentioned that these include your significant other, close friends and relatives, open competitors, business partners, and professionals with whom you interact on a one-on-one basis such as your broker, accountant, hair stylist and so forth. This chart has a closed loop as well between Saturn, Neptune and Mercury which implies that information from someone will provide some inspiration regarding your finances which calls for a change of course that may not set to well with either the same person who provided the news in the first place or perhaps someone else. Needless to say these lunations are packed with all sorts of interesting surprises when promise to make for a very interesting month which will be anything but boring. Short Term Aspects June 4: Keep a tight grip on your finances today and don't take any unnecessary chances in any aspect of your life, physical, mental, emotional, spiritual or financial. June 6: Jupiter goes into Aries today, bringing his expansive tendencies into close proximity with the planet of surprises which is going to generate numerous unexpected events and goodness knows what else in your home environment not only today but for quite a while to come. June 7: Mars goes into Virgo today, bringing his drive, energy and desire for action to your beliefs, expectations and all those other 9th House residents. Expect that burst of energy to necessitate some unexpected adjustments or a change of course at home. June 8: Expect the unexpected and again, no unnecessary chances. It's a good day to take it easy and be creative. It's also favorable for communicating with your children or romantic interest regarding something of a more serious nature. June 9: Another good day to be creative with inspiration possible, but it may be unrealistic or having the financial means to make it come to life may present an obstacle. June 10: Mercury enters Gemini, bringing strong reason and data processing skills to your 6th House of work, workers, health and pets. This is quite favorable for getting a project or two off the ground and communicating with those who will be helping make it so. Also watch for opportunities to expand your innovative thoughts to your home as well. June 11: New relative to your job may keep you from pursuing other interests today. Be flexible as well as being will to negotiate a compromise that keeps all concerned happy. June 12: New Moon today in Gemini as described above. June 14: Venus goes into Leo today, bringing her blessings to your 8th House of sex, death and regeneration, loans, and transformational experiences. Anything you're trying to achieve in this part of your life should go better while Venus is there. Remember she rules both love and money. About this same time she's also trining those instigators of surprise on the homefront, so watch for something good you weren't expecting there. Not all surprises this month are unpleasant! June 15: Events today will provide plenty to think about with regard to what you want to accomplish and your deeper motivation to do so. Examine your beliefs in view of their origin and whether you actually agree with them or are simply parroting them from the way you felt in the past. June 17: A favorable experience will bring about some adjustments to how you see something from your past, perhaps something that needs to be resolved. June 19: A conflict may arise with regard to how something should be done. Examine it closely because there's a good chance there could be financial benefits associated with those insights so keep an open mind. June 21: The Sun goes into Cancer today, bringing emphasis to the relationships in your life. Someone is likely to surprise you in some way today. June 23: Expanding upon something at home may encounter an obstacle or possibly a sanity check today which will be related to a project you're trying to pursue. June 24: Information regarding something you're working on will encounter obstacles today, perhaps through an authority figure who has a different opinion that you do. Talking it out will serve a useful purpose and may bring some enlightenment. Something may disappear as a result. June 25: Mercury goes into Cancer today, facilitating conversations and data gathering from those close to you. Expect some surprises as something you didn't know before comes to light. June 26: Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse today as described above. June 27: Another day for deep insights and learning things that have been kept secret, buried or hidden.
