Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month the New Moon on the 12th falls in Gemini, your 11th House of friends, organizations, group activities and goals, which include your hopes and wishes. If your birthday is right around August 14 this will bring you an opportunity of some description that is hard to miss. There's a lot going on with this lunation so expect a busy and significant month. There are two major features of this lunation that indicate it's going to be anything but boring. First of all there's a Yod or Finger of God that comprises Venus and Saturn at the base and Neptune at the eye. Venus is in your 12th House of imagination, inspiration, fantasies, dreams, institutions, seclusion, self-undoing and hidden enemies. For a Leo this is most likely to manifest as fantasies about money considering that Saturn is in your 2nd House of finances, possessions, needs and pleasures given these two are linked together by a sextile, which typically brings an opportunity, so be on the lookout. Neptune in your polar sign, Aquarius, points toward someone in your 7th House of relationships. In the astrological context this includes your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners and professions with whom you interact one-on-one such as your broker, attorney, hair stylist, accountant, and so forth. Neptune signifies inspiration, but it can also be delusional, so be a bit on your guard, but the implications here are that someone is going to provide you with a money making opportunity that is going to feed your imagination in a lucrative way. Another "stand-out" for this lunation chart is a partile, or in the same degree, conjunction between Uranus and Jupiter in fellow Fire Sign, Aries. My first impression of this one is an astrological lightning strike. Both planets at this time will have recently moved into Aries, providing them with a lot of energy compared to dreamy, peaceful and imaginative Pisces. Whatever they've been fantasizing about during that time will now be chomping at the bit to take action. Uranus in particular, which is all about unexpected events, rebellion, breaking away, innovation, disruptions, explosions, and surprises, moving into a sign known to be driven, impulsive and sometimes violent has a plethora of possibilities, some good, some not. Jupiter expands and exaggerates what he touches, so the two of these together in a fiery sign have a very volatile potential. Aries is your 9th House which comprises such things as your beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters, politics, religion, long-distance travel, other cultures and relocation, so whatever Uranus and Jupiter are up to is most likely to occur in this part of your life. What makes this conjunction even more complex and truly interesting is the fact that every planet except Mercury is aspecting them in some way. First of all, Pluto in Capricorn, your 6th House of work, service, health and pets is squaring them, a hard aspect that suggests the sudden exposure of something regarding one of those areas since Pluto, as the Zodiacal roto-rooter is all about digging up old dirt so it can be properly resolved. This suggests that something is going to come out that you either didn't know about or have been trying to hide yourself and it's going to have an explosive effect on your beliefs in some way. It could also kick-off an issue related to any of those 9th house issues listed above, such as a sudden disruption to a trip abroad, involvement with a legal matter or what-have-you. Also aspecting this pair is Saturn, who's opposing them from your 2nd House of finance, possessions, needs and pleasures. Saturn is all about responsibility and your obligations as well as imposing structure, such as a budget, on this part of your life, and the implications here are that this event, whatever it happens to be, isn't going to have a favorable effect on your bank account. Mars, also in Virgo, is quincunx the two planets, indication a sharp change of direction. Venus, in your 12th House of everything from your imagination to self-undoing is trining them, however, making this situation, whatever it may be, interesting indeed. Venus rules love and money and in your 12th House will typically have a favorable effect. As noted in the first paragraph, fantasizing about money would be pretty typical of this placement, though it could on the negative side relate to a female who is not your friend but you think she is, i.e. a hidden enemy trying to undermine you. Another interesting through for this trine is that your 12th House comprises your spirituality whereas the 9th where Uranus and Jupiter are hanging out, includes religion. Thus, an aspect like this could represent bringing these two concepts together in a sudden and unexpected way. About all you can do is the mix and match routine with the various elements from each house and see how they manifest for you. The possibilities are far too vast for me to even begin to touch on them all. Another interesting aspect includes a closed loop between Mercury, Mars and Pluto. This one looks like you find out something from one of your friends or group associations that looks like it's going to cost you money but that covert information relative to your work or someone doing work for you provides the course change needed to work it out. The Full Moon on June 26 is also a Lunar Eclipse, giving it additional punch. The theme of this eclipse, which is a member of the 12 South family in the Saros Series, is most easily stated as things are going to get a bit worse before they get better, but when they improve it will be over and resolved. This eclipse occurs in Capricorn, your 6th House of work, service, health and pets and is conjunct Pluto, suggesting that whatever that dirt being exposed happens to be it's going to have a significant impact. The predominant aspect on this lunation chart is what can best be described as a "T-Square from Hell." The base is made up from the Sun and Moon on opposite side with the Sun conjunct Mercury and the Moon conjunct Pluto with the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction at the apex. This smells a lot like continuing fallout of whatever started up with the New Moon since the primary players in all this are the outer planets which move fairly slowly and are thus in the same houses. The outer planets are the ones that create the predominant themes in your life whereas the inner planets, which move fairly quickly and include the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus as well as Mars on a frequent basis, are the ones that trigger the daily events or pieces of the puzzle. With the Sun in your 12th House, if there is any hidden enemy or self-undoing involved it's going to come out. If you've been of the opinion that you are in the wrong job or career, this will undoubtedly send that thought home once and for all. Whatever else is going on, Saturn will remind you of your obligations and responsibilities, which is not going to provide many warm fuzzies, but Saturn is also in another one of those closed loop aspects that may provide some guidance. Mercury, Saturn and Neptune are in cahoots this time and may indicate that news or information pertaining to your 12th House as defined earlier will create an initial crisis with meeting your finances or needs, but an imaginative adjustment inspired by a friend will bring it to resolution. Obviously the lunations this fairly intense and are pointing toward some interesting events that are going to linger for some time. Above all else, remember the theme of this eclipse regarding the fact that things will get worse before they get better but they WILL get better. In other words, there's a light at the end of the tunnel and while it may be the headlamp of an oncoming train, everything will somehow work out. Short-term Aspects June 4: Don't be too impulsive today and pursue a rainbow that won't do anything for you other than burn some very expensive gasoline and put miles on your car. June 6: Jupiter goes into Aries today which can bring luck but in cahoots with Uranus there's not guarantee what kind. June 7: Mars goes into Virgo. Use this energy to put your finances and budget in order rather than indulge in impulsive purchases you'll regret later. This will require some adjustments to your usual beliefs that you're royalty and deserve it but will be worth it in the long run. June 8: Watch for something unexpected today, even if it's a big "Aha!" moment. Whatever it turns out to be will be with you for a while and has more importance than it may seem at first. News of a career opportunity or other information that affects your current status is possible. June 9: Don't believe everything you hear today, regardless of how inspiring it may be. June 10: Mercury goes into Gemini which will ramp up communications with your friends and group activities. Look for way to enjoy all that summer fun out there. You never know who you might meet. You also may encounter a few more surprises. June 11: Be particularly wary of impulsive spending today or pursuing something that isn't a good idea. June 12: New Moon today in Gemini as described above. June 14: Venus goes into Leo today, bringing her blessings to enhance your natural charm. Now is a good time to present yourself in such a way that you can get what you want. Watch for pleasant surprises or create a few yourself. June 15: This is a favorable day to pursue experiences that relate to philosophical topics such as religion, higher learning or even politics. For example, if you're running for political office, this is an excellent day to start your campaign or meet your supporters. If you're interested in increasing your income (and who isn't?) take some time to figure out why you're not already generating sufficient money. Determine if you're holding yourself back in some way and what you need to do to rectify it. It's also possible to find out something that's going on at work that you can use to your advantage. Keep your eyes and ears open. June 17: Now is the time to use your charm to change directions with your job endeavors based on what you discovered on the 15th. June 19: Watch what you say and do today or may tick off the wrong person, particularly as it relates to improving your income. In other words, this is definitely not a good day to put your Leo temper on display and get into it with your boss. If you're involved in a group activity you may meet someone with whom you think you could develop a serious relationship. Proceed cautiously as it's likely to be an illusion. June 21: Summer solstice today as the Sun goes into Cancer, bringing emphasis to your spiritual side and other 12th House matters which include institutions, seclusion, self-undoing and hidden enemies. There are many positive elements in this house such as enlightenment and inspiration which go well with your strong sense of creativity, but don't naively think the entire world is your friend. June 23: Be a bit wary today of any flashes of inspiration, insights into modern society or seemingly brilliant intellectual endeavors. What you see isn't likely to be what you get. June 24: Interactions with others may appear to be going well but all is not as it seems. Be careful what you say to anyone who has any power whatsoever over your income. What you may think is an appropriate thing to say could turn against you. June 25: Mercury goes into Cancer, which will enhance your insights as well as communications with any institutions you're dealing with such as hospitals. Unexpected news or disruptions to travel are likely as well. If anyone at work is trying to undermine or sabotage your efforts it's likely to come to the surface today. June 26: Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse as described above. June 27: More information is forthcoming relative to anything that's been hidden at work or perhaps with regard to your health. In order to improve your income you're going to need to change course, perhaps by changing the people you hang out with. Give it some thought. |
