Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon this month on the 12th occurs in Gemini, your 4th House of home environment, which will bring something new your way in this part of your life. This includes your physical abode and everyone in it, but not necessary those things like your furniture and other possessions, which belong in the 2nd House. However, it does include the physical, financial, mental and emotional climate. This lunation chart has quite a variety of interesting elements that are likely to make for a very interesting month. For starters, there's a Yod, or Finger of God, which typically points you in a slightly new direction. This one comprises Venus and Saturn at the base in your 5th and 7th Houses, respectively. Venus in your 5th House is certainly good for romance, though it can also benefit your ego, creativity, children, entertainment, and speculative ventures as well, depending on which is most applicable to your situation. If nothing else, this is a good time to have some fun and de-stress if the last few months have been stressful. Saturn in your 7th House of relationships is likely to not be much fun, though Saturn in this house can also imply taking more responsibility with regard to someone close to you. The sextile connecting Venus and Saturn implies an opportunity to enjoy an activity with someone close to you, or if you've been a bit flakey and irresponsible, maybe it's time to shape up according. Your Sign Ruler, Neptune, is at the eye of the Yod in Aquarius, your 12th House of imagination, dreams, enlightenment, transcendence, spirituality, seclusion, institutions, self-undoing, hidden enemies and the collective consciousness. This is the House of the zodiac that Pisces rules, so this should be familiar and important ground for you. This is one of the main reasons that Pisces are on a different plane than most others, because you have an affinity for things unseen and in different dimensions. Furthermore, you need to visit there on a regular basis to maintain your sense of self. If you've been taking life too seriously lately, especially with regard to love or money, then this Yod seems to be telling you to take care of yourself and not worry about whether or not others agree with that decision. If you've been too bogged down in reality it will wear you down like a fish out of water in no time. Find some time to renew yourself and then make it a habit so you can function at full efficiency. Another major aspect in this lunation is a partile, or same degree, conjunction between Uranus and your ancient ruler, Jupiter. These two have recently entered Aries, which is going to have a major effect on how their respective and collective energies manifest. I certainly don't need to tell you the difference between your energy and that of an Aries. You may miss Jupiter's expansive influence and you may actually miss Uranus as well, since you thrive on excitement or change of one sort or another. While stability may be a good thing to some signs, you may not be one of them. Thus, remember that Yod, and making sure you find a way to feed your heart and soul yourself on a regular basis to maintain your mental and emotional health. Not to digress, but the asteroid, Chiron, has recently entered Pisces so maintaining your well-being is more important that ever. You can read about Chiron elsewhere on this website. Meanwhile, Jupiter and Uranus have thrown away the music to We Are the World and is now singing Another One Bites the Dust. My visual image of this conjunction is of Zeus wielding thunderbolts; in other words, I think it's going to be about as subtle as an explosion, which is going to be going off in your 2nd House of finances, income, pleasures and needs. Brace yourself for sudden, unexpected, and potentially disruptive occurrences in this part of your life. Furthermore, for the sake of this lunation, the dynamic duo is being aspected by every planet with the exception of Mercury, further defining its direction and influence. For starters, Pluto in Capricorn, your 11th House of friends, organizations, groups and goals, is squaring them, which implies those sudden changes with your checkbook are likely to influence this part of your life as well, most likely your goals. However, that financial impact, whether it's the up or downside, may also influence who you hang out with. If you have a bunch of high-roller friends and you lose your job, chances are you won't be vacationing in The Bahamas this year. Saturn is opposing the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction, which could serve to contain or structure it in some way, such that all the pieces are totally blown away. Saturn, as you may recall, is in your 7th House of relationships. This implies that responsibility to someone close to you may keep you grounded or perhaps it's a person close to you that will keep you grounded, though this is likely to be challenging either way. Mars is quincunx the pair, also from your 7th House, which suggests a change of course or adjustment to this part of your life as a result. This may necessitate changes to your relationships in some way or another if your financial situation changes. This, of course, can apply whether you win the lotto or lose your job; as your situation changes, so will your relationships. Venus in fellow Water Sign, Cancer, is trining the pair from your 5th House, as noted earlier. This has various implications, including a positive return on your speculations providing hope that the explosion in your finances is in the positive direction. On the other hand, if the explosion leaves a crater in your bank account, then this may be a means for improving it, whether it's a romantic partner, making some money off your creativity, or what-have-you. Children are also in the 5th but they typically take money, rather than generate it, so I can't see any positive effects there. Another interesting aspect for this lunation is a closed-loop between Mercury, Mars and Pluto that indicates an interesting exchange of energy. The implication seems to be that news or information on the homefront causes some problems with a relationship, but reworking your goals effects the changes needed for a positive outcome. The Full Moon on June 26 is also a Lunar Eclipse, giving it additional punch and lengthening its influence. This eclipse is a member of the 12 South family in the Saros Series which has the generic theme that something you've been dealing with for a while is going to get worse before it gets better, but it will, indeed, get better, and be resolved. Remember that, should there be dark days ahead. The most outstanding aspect on this chart looks like the "T-Square from Hell." This is because rather than having one planet, the Sun or Moon in each corner it has two. The eclipse itself is forming the opposition at the base plus Mercury is conjunct the Sun and the Moon is conjunct Pluto. The eclipse spans your 5th/11th House axis which can create a conflict between your personal endeavors which you enjoy versus achieving your goals. It may be time to make sure these two parts of your life are in harmony. Finishing off this T-Square with an astrological bang is none other than that Jupiter/Uranus conjunction. This certainly implies that whatever happens courtesy of the New Moon is not going away anytime soon but is going to impact your situation for a while, for good or ill. Saturn is opposing Jupiter and Uranus, perhaps in an effort to stabilize the situation still as he did for the New Moon. Thus, don't lose touch with your responsibilities to those close to you or ignore the promptings of someone older and wiser who may provide the wisdom you need to navigate this storm safely. There's another closed energy loop here as well, this time involving Mercury, Saturn and your Sign Ruler, Neptune. This suggests that your creative ideas may be in conflict with your responsibilities, but a change of course can be effected that has a happy ending if you use your imagination and inspiration for guidance. Short-term Aspects June 4: Your efforts to move forward with your work may be attracting some opposition from someone you thought was your friend but who is actually trying to undermine you. Watch your "six" and beware of deception or fantasies that won't serve you well. June 6: Jupiter goes into Aries, leaving your Sign behind for more lively terrain. June 7: Mars goes into Virgo, bringing energy and drive to your close relationships. This could also attract competitors or make you feel as if you're under attack. This situation could also have a bearing on those surprises to your financial arena. June 8: If that big surprise or disruptive event hasn't made an appearance by now it probably will today. Keep the lines of communication open with your siblings and those close to you for thoughts and ideas. June 9: Make sure that your ideas are within the realm of reality, which is harder for Pisces than most others. Before acting on something, give it a sanity check through one of your Earth or Air Sign friends or relatives who will tell it to you straight. June 10: Mercury goes into Gemini today, facilitating communications within your home environment. This will be a good place to start with managing that financial issue, though it could also simply be a matter of addressing your needs. June 11: Arguments at home are likely. Do your best to stick to the facts and not personalize everything for your own well-being. June 12: New Moon today as described above. June 14: Venus goes into Leo today, your 6th House of work, health, service and pets. This transit will be beneficial for this part of your life and is likely to have a positive effect on your finances as well. June 15: Re-examine your goals, look for old unresolved issues, and also identify anyone in your circle of friends who may have a dysfunctional measure of control over you. If someone is being a bit too pushy, push back. June 17: Watch for adjustments that relate to your work or health which will tweak your direction in a positive way. June 19: Relationship responsibilities at home are highlighted today. Look beneath the surface, which Pisces do extremely well, and find the inspiration you need. June 21: Summer solstice as the Sun goes into Cancer. If you're being lured toward endeavors that won't help your financial situation, indulge yourself only as much as you need to so you can renew yourself. Make sure that your hobbies or creativity aren't creating a drain on your finances. Instead, look for ways to generate money from things you enjoy. June 23: Keep looking for ways to improve your finances in a creative manner that you can enjoy. Pisces don't do well in boring, humdrum jobs that don't offer the stimulation of their imagination that they need to thrive. June 24: Another day to draw heavily from your inspired side to find solution to your various challenges, particularly those that involve a relationship. June 25: Mercury goes into Cancer, facilitating ideas and information that pertains to your creative side as well as children and your romantic interests. This is also positive if you're pursuing any speculative activities. For today, however, it may bring unexpected news that isn't particularly favorable. June 26: Full Moon/Lunar eclipse as described above. June 27: Renovating your goals may become necessary today and effect a change of direction. Seek for balance with regard to your responsibilities and activities you need to maintain your mental and emotional well-being. No matter how challenging things may be, find activities that renew your spirits. |
