Lunations and Long Term Aspects This month's New Moon on the 5th is in Scorpio, your 11th House of group activities, organizations, networking and goals which implies something new for you in this part of your life. If your birthday is within a day or so of January 3 you are even more likely to see something significant though not necessarily major. Often the effects of these lunations are quite subtle, other times they are life-changing, all depending on what the transits generally are doing to your natal chart. Overall the aspects with this lunation are relatively friendly. Communicating your ideas, or perhaps getting some new ones, from various people in your life is favored. Innovation and growth are particularly likely to be involved in your thought processes. If you've been toying with some new-fangled idea which you haven't pushed forward yet, there's a good chance that you'll encounter a friend or group that can help you promote it, so this is a time when you need to get out and meet new people and express yourself. If your birthday is right around January 16 the likelihood of utilizing this influence is even stronger. There is one caution, however, and that is that you don't believe everything they tell you. What they promise may come to naught. So be prepared to get it in writing and not count your chickens before they're hatched. Nonetheless, there are possibilities, you just may have to push them through and make sure they happen. Those of you with a birthday right around January 3 may also be encountering some struggles and frustrations with regard to your career or public image. This is due to a square between your natal Sun and your sign ruler, Saturn. Those of us (yours truly included) with Christmas birthdays are still in the throes of a Pluto transit to our natal Sun which has been in effect for a couple years. Gratefully we are now on the home stretch. However, the North Lunar Node is converging on them as well, indicating something new coming into your life, probably this month. Where this will show up depends on which house your natal Sun happens to be in. At any rate, be on the lookout because this change is likely to show you what that Pluto transit has been all about as far as eliminating something from your life to make room for something new. The Full Moon on the 21st is in fellow Earth Sign, Taurus. If your birthday is right around January 20 it will be even more influential and is likely to appear with regard to your creativity, ego definition, children, romantic interests, speculations, or how you enjoy yourself. This lunation will form a Triangle of Potential for you folks which puts you in the driver's seat to orchestrate something favorable through your friends or associates or possible related to your goals. A Full Moon typically brings a culmination or shift to a new phase, implying this could be an ending or new beginning to something you've been working on for some time. Expansive and innovative ideas are still favored, perhaps a continuation of what began with the New Moon. However, make sure you don't get so caught up in things that you lose touch with reality. This isn't very common for Cappies, but make sure you maintain a healthy skepticism just in case. November 4: Expect the unexpected as it applies to your friends and group interactions, though your own goals may be affected as well. Siblings and neighbors may be involved, or it may simply be a major brainstorm or ruminations over a philosophical issue. November 5: New Moon in Scorpio today as described above. November 6: Don't believe everything you hear today, especially with regard to money or your personal needs. Whether or not it turns out to be true, it's like to take you by surprise and cause some friction with regard to your career or status. November 7: Retrograde Venus backs into Libra, stirring up a situation regarding your career or status that you need to confront. Neptune goes direct, perhaps rectifying any unrealistic expectations you've had with regard to your finances. November 8: Mercury enters Sagittarius, facilitating communications with your spiritual self or bringing news your way with regard to institutions. Time spent meditating or in seclusion will be well-spent as well until the end of the month. November 10: Annoyances or frustrations will be there today, perhaps related to something you want to accomplish or related to a friend or group you hang with.
