Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon this month on the 5th is in Scorpio, your 2nd House of possessions, income, finances, needs and pleasures, which should bring something new your way in this part of your life. I'm sure you're immediately hoping that this will be a good thing. One indication may be found in history. In other words, what kind of month is November typically for you? That should give you at least a hint. There is one feature of this lunation which may cause a bit of trouble which is the fact that your Sign Ruler, Venus, is retrograde, something which has been a bit rough all around during most of October until it ends November 17. This would not bode well for either your finances or you, personally. Now is the time to take whatever is going on and scrutinize it with the full power of your logical, Air Sign brain. This is especially important if you've had any delusions with regard to your children, romantic interests, your self-image, or speculations. In particular, you may have had the feeling that one or more of these things was dissipating before your eyes or you might see that happen with this New Moon. The important thing is to learn from it, even if the information coming your way isn't the best. Good news should come your way with regard to work, however. Of course good news in that department is fairly rare in this economic climate, but the aspects look favorable for you to get some surprising news with regard to work which will ultimately be beneficial. If your birthday is right around October 19, this is very likely to bring about a significant change of course or adjustment. With Mars transiting your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and siblings this month your mind should be active and raring to take action on something, even if it's wrong. Thus, if there's something you need to do, put this energy to good use getting it started. Those of you with a birthday around October 6 have stuffy Saturn sitting on your Natal Sun. This is likely to make you feel restricted and surrounded by limitations. I hate to tell you this, but that is just the beginning. Whatever comes along that's bothersome during that time will come back in April when Saturn is retrograde, even though at the time you may not recognize the source of a vague sense of anxiety. It won't be all said and done until August 2011, when you discover what the problem is and take care of business accordingly. The good news is that you at least know what it is, how long it will last and that it will, indeed, end, even if it is nearly a year away. There's a lesson for you there from the Universe so keep a philosophical outlook and whatever you do, learn and progress. The Full Moon on November 21 is in Taurus, your 8th House of sex, death, transformations, debt and shared resources. This should bring a culmination, ending, or shift to a new phase in your life which will have a significant impact on you. This will bring about a change of course that will be the most noticeable if your birthday is within a day of October 23rd. The impetus could be related to your finances or speculations, which you should guard carefully at this time. Neptune is involved, which can mean anything from inspiration to a disappearing act, so bear that in mind. By this time, however, your buddy, Venus, is out of retrograde and in your sign. If your birthday is within a day or so of October 21 this will be particularly favorable. Venus in your sign contributes to your charm and people are generally drawn to you in a favorable way. An unexpected event at work or some sort of disruption there will turn out in your favor and make a big difference in your life, so be on the lookout. If you've been bummed out about anything lately, this should help you to see things more clearly with the possible exception of those of you going thru the aforementioned Saturn transit, in other words those of you born between October 4 - 9 will be kissed by Saturn sometime this month with more to follow over the next year. The important thing to remember during transits from malefic planets is that they typically carry important lessons which will greatly benefit you at some point. The transit will eventually end, albeit slowly. Maintain a philosophical attitude, remember that resistance is futile, and do your best not to paint a target on your head by being foolish. Those of you born after the 9th, your day will come. Short-term and Daily Aspects November 1: Keywords for the day are work and money. This may be a time when you take a close look at your situation, whatever it may be, and make some decisions. If you're experiencing some reversals in the financial area, consider how you got where you are and why. Go back as far as necessary, even into your childhood, to find the root cause then do something about it. November 4: A disruption at work or possible relating to your health may occur today and highlight your finances in some way. News, thoughts, or information will help you sort things out and determine what it all means. November 5: New Moon in Scorpio as described above. November 6: Don't believe everything you hear or see today, especially if it involves something that means a lot to you. Surprises or disruptions at work are highly likely. Don't hesitate to assume responsibility as appropriate. November 7: Retrograde Venus backs into your sign, which will ultimately be a good thing. Neptune goes direct which will help clarify anything that's been hard to define lately. This can be very useful for finding inspiration with regard to your creative efforts. November 8: Mercury enters Sagittarius, your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and siblings which will facilitate activity and communications in this part of your life. November 10: Ruminations over money or finances are upon you again and reach back into the past. If there's anything in that part of your life that is unresolved, maybe it's time to take care of business. November 14: Taking action on something without thinking it through carefully may backfire. Let you sense of responsibility guide you to do the right thing. November 15: Finances and work are an issue again. If you've been working too hard or not hard enough, a change is warranted. November 17: Find some quiet time today to think about a few things or talk them over with a trusted friend or relative. If something is bothering you it's best to not keep it all penned up inside. Talking to an older friend or confidante can help you gain the needed perspective. November 18: Venus is now direct, which should be a noticeable change. Continue to be wary of illusions and seek clarity on anything you may not have seen clearly at the start. More surprises at work are likely. Jupiter goes direct which will help improve the situation there in the coming days and weeks. November 20: Arguments with neighbors or siblings are possible. Running a lot of errands will probably take up most of the day. You are likely to feel stifled or restricted in some way, possibly due to your finances. November 21: Full Moon in Taurus as described above. November 22: The Sun enters Sagittarius, bringing emphasis to your thoughts, ideas, siblings and neighbors. November 25: Thoughts or ideas today may conflict with what's best for you on the job. A sibling or neighbor may need your help in a big way as well. November 27: An excellent day for being creative or enjoying yourself. Put it to good use so you can relax and get away from what's been bothering you lately, even for a little while. A conversation today may carry some surprises. November 29: Venus enters Scorpio. Now that she's direct this should have a positive bearing on your finances. Someone, including yourself, could be leading you in the wrong direction if you want to progress in your job. Look at all sides and make your own decisions. November 30: Mercury enters Capricorn which will help facilitate communications at hope, including any old, festering issues that need to be resolved. |
