Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon on February 2nd is in Aquarius, your polar sign and 7th house of close relationships, which also includes competitors, business partners and professional with whom you interact in a one-on-one fashion such as your accountant, hair stylist or astrologer. :-) Watch for something regarding one of these individuals or possibly even someone new to come into your life around this time as a result. There are several planets in Aquarius including Mars, which is in tight conjunction with the Sun/Moon combo, Neptune and the asteroid, Chiron, a.k.a. "the wounded healer." Mars contributes a lot of energy which you are most likely to experience if your birthday is within a day or so of August 6th. The presence of Mars in this house may also indicate the individual in question is a man, but not necessarily. The Sun, Moon and Mars are all trining retrograde Saturn in Libra, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and short trips or those to familiar places. With Saturn doing the back-stroke it appears that he is working at laying the groundwork for you to restructure something in this part of your life. Saturn functions well in Libra, the sign of his exaltation, which bodes well for a transit that can sometimes be quite challenging. In this case, especially considering the trine to that lunation trio, it appears this will bring something or someone good into your life. There are a couple opportunities out there as well to watch out for because they'll probably only present themselves once. One involves Venus in fellow Fire Sign, Sagittarius, your 5th House of ego development, children, romance, entertainment and speculation and Neptune in Aquarius. This could point toward a money-making creative effort or simply some very pleasant experiences with your children or romantic partner. It has a dreamy quality which suggests it may be a romantic weekend get-away or pleasant outing. Another opportunity is out there which involves Mercury in Capricorn, your 6th house of work, health and pets, and Uranus in Pisces, your 8th house of transformations, death & rebirth, debt, sex and shared resources. This sextile implies news or thoughts related to your work or service activities could bring about a sudden "Aha!" moment or other experience which has a profound and lasting effect on you. There are some challenges associated with this lunation to watch out for as well. Remember that forewarned is forearmed and if you anticipate the situation you'll be better prepared to handle it appropriately. Venus is involved in these as well with one square directed at Uranus and the other to Jupiter, recently entering fellow Fire Sign, Aries. The square to Uranus implies a sudden or unexpected event or situation precipitated by a child, lover, speculation or fun excursion which gives you a bit of a jolt. The square to Jupiter is a bit less bothersome since both Venus and Jupiter are benefic planets. However, when these two get together they can tend to make you over-confident, which isn't always a good thing. Jupiter is in your 9th house of higher learning, legal matters, other cultures, beliefs & expectations, religion, politics and journeys to places you've never been before. While the 5th and 9th houses are generally friendly, there is still a bit of caution advised here, or there may be something to be overcome before you can get what you want. It may not be a big deal, it could even be something like winning a trip but in order to go you need to find someone to take care of the kids or the dog. In other words, if something good comes along, there will be something attached to have to address first. Pluto and Jupiter are also making a square which indicates something unresolved and possibly hidden with regard to work or possibly your health may get in your way as well. In the above example, this could simply mean you have some difficulty getting off work to pursue what you want. The Full Moon on February 18th is in you sign and will be especially noticeable for Leos born within a day or so of August 23rd. A Full Moon usually brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase which in this case is likely to involve you as well as someone close to you due to all those planets clustered over there in your polar house of Aquarius. By this time this includes not only Mars and Neptune as well as the Sun but also Mercury, indicating news or information related to someone you know well. An unexpected change of course, perhaps simply at the emotional level, will be required at this time. The square between Pluto and Jupiter is still in effect, which was delineated above. Another square between Venus, now in Capricorn, and Saturn has snuck into the picture, however. This one suggested that any restructuring with regard to you mental attitude probably relates to your work, perhaps whether you like it and whether the income from it is worth it.
