Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon on February 2nd occurs in fellow Air Sign, Aquarius, your 5th house of creativity, romance, children, ego definition, entertainment, speculation and all such things that are an expression of you in one way or another. If your birthday is within a day or so of October 7th this lunation will trine your Natal Sun which should give you a nice boost of creative energy, particularly given the fact that Mars is snuggled in with the Sun and Moon. Thus, if you have something going in one of these house elements, now is the time to get started. There is one caveat, though not necessarily bad. Retrograde Saturn is in your sign, as he has been for quite a while now, and he's in a wide but viable trine to this New Moon Trio. Saturn doing the backstroke is typically stirring up something at the subconscious level which needs to be restructured and with this in your first house, it's going to have a rather personal effect. It will be strongest when he contacts your natal Sun within one degree of orb which will be the case sometime this month for those of you born between October 9 - 12; sooner or later, between now and June when he goes direct, he'll also get those of you born clear back to October 3rd. Saturn transits are typically about as popular as Pluto transits, but since Libra is the sign of his exaltation, he actually is in a bit of a better mood there than others. What the implications are as far as this lunation are concerned is that whatever it is you may want to get done will proceed better if you think about doing it a bit differently than you may have before. Since Saturn works subconsciously until he goes direct, you may not even be aware of what it is he wants you to restructure. However, maybe a hint lies with the New Moon and whatever is beckoning you from there. Or maybe pursuing this new endeavor will gently push you toward some form of personal progress. Your sign ruler, Venus, is in Sagittarius, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and journeys to familiar places and sextile Neptune, also in Aquarius. Venus is the natural ruler of relationships and money and a sextile indicates an opportunity that probably won't linger around too long if you miss it. Neptune can be very inspirational, though at times a bit idealistic and even delusional, but this looks like it will be the spark that gets that project or situation moving. Mercury in Capricorn, your 4th house of home environment, memories, family/cultural roots and such is sextile Uranus in Pisces, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets, which suggests another opportunity related to home and work or some other project but it's likely to take you by surprise or cause a disruption. These opportunities are likely to be tied together in some way which may result in a few complications but nothing insurmountable. There are some challenges attached as well, however, so this won't be a total cake-walk. Venus is not only sextile Neptune but squaring Uranus, implying that whatever comes out of the blue will get in the way somehow, perhaps a work assignment that infringes on your time. She is also squaring Jupiter in Aries, your polar sign and 7th house of close relationships including significant others, business partners, and any professionals in your life as well as competitors. This implies some resistance from someone close to you as far as that idea is concerned, so be prepared. It could also mean that the connections you need to pursue your goal aren't falling into place. Leo, your natural 11th house of networking, is empty right now, which doesn't help, especially with the Sun opposing it, but this just means you're not getting any astrological help in that area. However, it doesn't mean that you can't go out there and do your best, regardless. Jupiter is squaring Pluto in Capricorn, your 4th House of home environment and so forth. This also implies some resistance from someone close to you, perhaps within your household. It may not necessarily be a direct disagreement but could also be something else that gets in the way involving this person. Pluto is going to be in your 4th house for quite a while and be rooting around for anything that is old, out-dated and worn out which needs to be cleaned out or eliminated. Don't be surprised if you wind up with such things as plumbing or electrical problems during this transit as well as having an irresistible urge to clean out the attic or garage. The Full Moon on February 18 is in Leo, which may help jump-start something in that area. This will definitely be the case for those of you born right around October 22. A Full Moon usually brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase with implications pointing toward your 11th house of friends, organizations, group activities, networking and goals, specifically those goals that require the help of others to accomplish. All those planets in Aquarius keeping the Sun company are all opposing the Moon, however, suggesting resistance. Mercury, Mars, and Neptune are all tugging against the Full Moon from your house of creativity and such, again indicating you may have some trouble getting the support you need. The combined energies of this cluster of planets smells something like moving forward with an inspired idea. The trick is to use that Full Moon somewhat like a sling shot, like NASA uses the gravity of a planet to accelerate a space probe or vehicle. Uranus in your house of work, where he's been for a long time, indicates that innovation and technology has been part of your work for quite a while. His quincunx with the Moon implies a change of course or direction is required, so bear that in mind. The Pluto - Jupiter square is still in effect plus Venus has moved in Capricorn and is squaring Saturn. This reiterates the theme of restructuring something about yourself and how you do things which is likely to encounter some challenges from home either in the form of a person or perhaps finances. Overall, this looks like a month of opportunities coupled with some challenges but nothing you can't overcome with persistence. Remember if you don't use astrological energy, it will use you, so don't be afraid to confront any challenges and dig in your heels as necessary to accomplish your goals. |
