Lunations and Long Term Aspects The New Moon on January 4th is also a Solar Eclipse, giving it additional strength, especially for those of you with birthdays on or around January 4. If the eclipse also falls in your Solar Return, you can expect to have a very eventful year ahead of you. This eclipse is a member of the 13 North family of the Saros Series of eclipses. Its generic meaning relates to major group projects which will require a break or separation of some sort prior to completion. On the personal level its likely effect will be to also involve a separation of some description followed by the successful completion of a major effort. This specific eclipse has its own particular spin on that theme. There are several planets in Capricorn at this time including the Sun, Moon, Mars, Pluto and the Lunar North Node, bringing a whole bunch of energy your way. Your drive and ambition will be in high gear as far as going after your personal goals is concerned. With Pluto still in your 1st House, where he will be for several years to come, he will continue to bring about major changes as you confront and deal with some area of your life. This month this will be strongest for those of you with birthdays between December 25 - 27. The Lunar North Node is indicative of something new coming into your life. Tune into your spiritual side and listen closely for promptings or inspiration. You'll be viewed favorably by any group associations you may have which can also help you achieve one of your personal goals, perhaps by bringing some expansive and innovative ideas your way. Use your friends as a sounding board and brainstorm with them for new and exciting ideas, particularly if you've been somewhat bored or frustrated lately. Finding time for yourself and to fulfill your own needs has probably not been available for quite some time. These new endeavors may further frustrate your needs to enjoy yourself more, something which Cappies find somewhat optional as a rule, which can also work to your detriment. Work at keeping your life balanced and you find your performance improves in all areas as a result. Your sign ruler, Saturn, is in fellow Cardinal Sign, Libra, your 10th House of career, public image and status. This part of your life is going to present some challenges as well. Saturn goes retrograde on January 26 and will be doing the backstroke until mid-June. During this time you will experience various delays and obstacles in this part of your life. This will also be a time when your subconscious will be prompted to ruminate on something about this part of your life which needs to be restructured. You will probably be largely unaware of this until next summer when Saturn goes direct, at which time you'll figure out what it is and what you need to do to move forward. Meanwhile, for the first three and a half weeks of January, there are no retrograde planets, which is quite unusual. This will be a busy and dynamic time as all their energies express in a direct and outward manner. This is an excellent time for moving forward in all areas of your life. Accomplish what you can during that time because progress is likely to grind to a screeching halt once Saturn stations retrograde. The Full Moon this month is on January 19th in your polar sign, Cancer, which is your 7th House of relationships. If your birthday is right around January 20 this will have an even stronger effect. A Full Moon typically brings an ending or culmination which will most likely relate to a relationship of some sort. Remember than endings bring a new beginning, sometimes clearing the way that was blocked before. Whatever is going on with the relationship may cost you time or money. A change of course or adjustment may be required or you may have to justify your position with regard to your finances, income or possibly simply pursuing something you need. In other words, you may finally decide to take it easy and relax a bit or do something you've wanted to do to enjoy yourself when someone comes along with a situation that causes you to change your plans. On the positive side, expect some interesting ideas to come your way which are expansive and innovative with opportunities attached with personal benefit. |
