Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month there are three lunations to address, the first of which is a New Moon/Solar Eclipse on July 1st. We had a solar and lunar eclipse last month as well but this one will be the last one until the November/December timeframe. Its path is a relatively small loop in the ocean directly south of Africa and north of Antarctica. The January and June solar eclipses traced across Europe and Asia, thus delivering their effects to areas below that geographically, which haven't been too difficult to identify if you pay any attention to the news. Thus, this one may be a bit more benign since it occurs in such an isolated area. However, it may affect you personally, particularly if it hits a sensitive area of your natal, progressed or solar return chart. The eclipse occurs in fellow Water Sign, Cancer, so if your birthday is within a day or so November 2nd it will trine your natal Sun from your 9th House of higher learning, beliefs and expectations, religion and politics, legal matters, interactions with other cultures, and long-distance travel. This should have a positive effect on you personally though there will be some challenges to deal with along the way. Eclipses have a stronger and more lasting effect that the typical lunation. While a garden variety full or new Moon will be noticeable, its effects are less likely to be of the life-changing variety than those of an eclipse. Thus, if there is something in that part of your life which you've been needing to address, this eclipse should lend some assistance in a positive way to get it resolved. You may have been struggling with your job or possibly your health lately as Uranus went into Aries, your 6th house which comprises such things. Disruptions, unexpected events, general disturbances and instability are likely effects of this transit; Uranus is also all about freedom and breaking free from restrictions. Saturn is transiting your 12th house which includes such things as your imagination, enlightenment, spirituality, seclusion, institutions, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing. These two antithetical planets, given that Saturn is about stability, restrictions, responsibility, and delays, are in a tug-o-war which will last for quite some time. If you have any self-defeating behaviors you are likely to be encountering the results of such actions on a regular basis. As a Fixed Sign you don't change easily but the Universe may currently have you backed into a corner where even the swing of your infamous tail is not going to solve the problem. However, with him in your 8th house you also need to be extra cautious this month as far as accidents are concerned and not take any unnecessary chances. Find time for meditation, nurture your creative side, read some mind-expanding material and generally step outside the box you've been living in the past few years. Elevate yourself high enough mentally to see over that side of that box to what you have been holding yourself back from, then figure out what you need to do to move forward. The Full Moon on July 15 is in Capricorn, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and siblings. This is another opportunity to look at your underlying thought process and how it affects your beliefs. Don't automatically discount new concepts but examine them using Pluto's microscope, then rationally decide whether to accept or reject them. News or information related to your career, status or public image could contribute to that needed transformation. Expansive and possibly philosophical understanding with regard to a close relationship due to deeper understanding is likewise favored. The New Moon on the 30th is in fellow Fixed Sign, Leo, which comprises your 10th house of career, reputation, status and so forth. This should bring something new your way which you will probably like. Sudden changes at work or with your health will affect your status in what should ultimately be a positive way. If you've been doing your homework with regard to your thought process, a change of course is likely which will affect this part of your life. News or information with regard to one of your goals or perhaps coming from a friend or associate will be useful and provide some background information you didn't know which should help any relationship issues. Some challenges are out there, but the overall effects of this lunation should be favorable. Neptune is in fellow Water Sign, Pisces, your 5th house of creativity, ego definition, romance, children, speculation and entertainment. You need to keep an eye on Neptune because his effects cover the entire spectrum from inspiration to delusion. He can be great for your creativity but the dreamy, disorientation can also cause you to not see things as they really are. It's important to have dreams but also to understand when they're realistic and achievable. A transformational change that relates to this sense of vision is possible at this time. |
