Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month there are three lunations to address, the first of which is a New Moon/Solar Eclipse on July 1st. We had a solar and lunar eclipse last month as well but this one will be the last one until the November/December timeframe. Its path is a relatively small loop in the ocean directly south of Africa and north of Antarctica. The January and June solar eclipses traced across Europe and Asia, thus delivering their effects to areas below that geographically, which haven't been too difficult to identify if you pay any attention to the news. Thus, this one may be a bit more benign since it occurs in such an isolated area. However, it may affect you personally, particularly if it hits a sensitive area of your natal, progressed or solar return chart. If your birthday is right around April 30th watch for a new opportunity to come your way, perhaps in the form of an idea or information with it also possible to come through a neighbor or sibling. Eclipses have more impact that the typical full or new Moon. The garden variety lunation will bring events and situations your way but are less likely to have the life-changing effect an eclipse may have. There are various conflicts associated with this eclipse so it won't necessarily be easy. Breaking free from old belief systems in one way or another will be required which may bring challenges in other areas as well. Your responsibilities at work may get in the way in one way or another or perhaps financial issues may present some obstacles. You're practical by nature, which is a good thing and can help you guard against being too idealistic or subject to wishful thinking, particularly any encouraged by friends or groups you may be tied to. Also make sure you keep your goals practical while still recognizing that going after your dreams begins with visualizing what you want to accomplish. A change of course in your thought process is called for if you want to increase your earning potential but this will be easier said than done. Trip wires and other obstacles are all tied in with each other so you have quite a bit of sorting out to do before you can make any progress. Use your inborn perseverance and patience to keep at it and it will pay off in the end. Uranus goes retrograde this month which tends to internalize his energy. He's currently transiting your 12th House of spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, confinement, institutions, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-defeating behaviors. Watch for unexpected or disruptive situations in this part of your life, a general restlessness or nervousness lurking behind the scenes. On the positive side this can help you break free from anything you do to undermine yourself. Work responsibilities may present various challenges that spring up seemingly from nowhere and your sense of rebellion may be stirred up. You may feel trapped in this part of your life with your sense of responsibility and need for more personal freedom in a tug-o-war. The Full Moon in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, on July 15th will bring an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase for something related to your beliefs, higher learning, a legal matter, related to another culture or long-distance travel. If your birthday is within a day or so of May 14 this should bring something positive your way though you are going to have to put yourself in the driver's seat and make it happen. If you've been waiting to buy something you need, watch the sales because there's a good chance an opportunity you like will come along. Pay attention to things around your home which may need replacement or upgrading in particular. The New Moon on July 30th is in fellow Fixed Sign, Leo, and will affect those of you the most who with a birthday within a day or so of April 28th. This is likely to bring a new challenge or situation your way at home, but there are various positive things attached. Changes or breaking free from an old self-defeating habit or negative person or persons who repeatedly undermine you are favored. Perhaps you have some old baggage associated with your childhood that you'll finally make peace with and let go of as well. Releasing yourself from the past is important for your continued progress and shifting your belief system accordingly is likewise essential if you want to pursue your goals. Use your creativity and natural sense of practicality to define as clearly as possible what you want to accomplish. Efforts toward self-improvement may be compromised or thwarted by someone in your household as well as negative self-talk so stick to your guns. Recognize that you can listen to others' opinions without necessarily having to agree. Your gut will tell you what is best for you and that is what you need to heed. Positive results are developing behind the scenes so have faith in yourself and the Universe to guide you in that direction, one step at a time. |
