Lunations and Long Term Aspects This month there are three lunations to address, the first of which is a New Moon/Solar Eclipse on July 1st. We had a solar and lunar eclipse last month as well but this one will be the last one until the November/December timeframe. Its path is a relatively small loop in the ocean directly south of Africa and north of Antarctica. The January and June solar eclipses traced across Europe and Asia, thus delivering their effects to areas below that which haven't been too difficult to identify if you pay any attention to the news. Thus, this one may be a bit more benign since it occurs in such an isolated area. However, if the zodiacal location hits your natal or some other chart such as your progressed or solar return you will undoubtedly notice it, most likely in your 11th House of groups, friends and goals which comprises the sign of Cancer for your natal chart. Eclipses are stronger than the typical lunation and are more likely to bring events that have a major impact on your life whereas the garden variety full and new moons may bring a singular event or situation your way but it is more likely to fade into the past with much less impact. If your birthday is within a day or so of September 2nd it should bring an opportunity your way through a friend, networking or some other group association. Something from your past may cause a bit of an issue with it, but nothing you can't take care of. Money is likely to be an issue as well. For example, perhaps you'll be handed the opportunity to pursue something you've always wanted to do, but meeting your financial obligations will be a problem, particularly if something comes up at the last minute such as a major breakdown or perhaps someone who loaned you money needing you to pay it back NOW. Advice from close friends or relatives may be a bit idealistic but is worth considering because it might work with a few tweaks. Taking action on some sort of career move is favored but will also involve getting rid of any old issues, possibly the same one noted earlier. Recognize that there is a certain degree of risk involved so don't think the payoff will come as quickly as you like if at all. Travel could be involved or simply a significant expansion of your view of the world generally. Uranus goes retrograde on July 10th which tends to make his influence even more disruptive. He is currently transiting Aries, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, shared resources and debt. Whatever transpires may take you by surprise or perhaps relate to breaking free from something. If your birthday is within a day or so of August 28 this is likely to result in a change of direction of some sort. The Full Moon on July 15 is in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, your 5th house of children, romance, speculations, creativity, ego definition and entertainment and will bring a culmination to something in this part of your life. You may have to make a choice between a goal or activity involving others and something you want to do. Something unexpected from your past may pop up which has the potential to cost you money, so keep an eye on your bank account this month. Going into debt for something new is best delayed until the dust settles. Following your instincts with regard to a career move is advised; listen to that quiet little voice inside to guide you in the right direction. Your philosophy of life and beliefs in general are in the process of expanding and transforming as you progress and develop as a person and integrate your life experiences into who you are. This is part of the maturation process which is what life is all about. As they say, those who fail to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. Of course if you have done things correctly then you want them to repeat, but you know what I mean. The New Moon on July 30th is in Leo, your 12th house of angels and demons. This house comprises such things as your imagination, spirituality, enlightenment, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-defeating behaviors. While a Full Moon brings a culmination or shift to a new level, the New Moon typically initiates a new activity, idea or situation. Breaking free from something that's been holding you back is favored which has the potential to have a transformational effect. Your sign ruler, Mercury, has moved into your sign by this time which will help clarify and focus your mental powers which are typically sharp anyway. A change of course is likely which may be easier said than done because it may conflict with some long-held belief. Expect some opposition from someone close to you who may encourage you to take action in a different direction. This is where having your mental powers running at full force will be very useful so you can sort things out and decide what action makes the most sense. |
