Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon on May 3rd is in Taurus, your 8th house of transformations, intimate relationships, shared resources, debt and death and regeneration. This is the house where we encounter transformational experiences which change us by giving us an entirely new perspective on life, which often derive from the other things mentioned above which reside in this house. This is more likely to be noticeable for those of you born within a day or so of October 6th. Since this is an important transit, I want you Libras born elsewhere in the month to be patient for a moment while I talk to the ones targeted more directly. Those of you who have been there already will probably recognize it and those of you born later in the month can get a glimpse of what's coming. Those of you in the middle of this Saturn transit to your natal Sun have already noticed that is not exactly been the high point of your life. This is frequently a difficult period of time when your responsibilities can be heavy and hard work the norm. Approximately 14 years ago you experienced a Saturn opposition that probably involved a time of adversity and decision. You experienced some new beginnings at that time for which you are now seeing the results. At this time you will be able to see if your efforts are being rewarded or if the endeavor has been a complete bust. In either case you need to finish things up and avoid starting anything new until old projects are complete. This transit is going to be in effect for a few more months so its final results may not be apparent for a while, though this New Moon is likely to give you a few rather large hints at what that happens to be and any course changes you need to plan for. Saturn - Sun transits tend to be rather grueling and sap your energy. However, when all is said and done you are much wiser, thanks to Saturn being the great tutor. This is a time when you get to know yourself better from the inside out, not based on what other's opinions of you happen to be. Don't feel guilty if you need more alone time than usual but use it for pondering and meditation such that you can begin to see yourself for who and what you really are. So now back to the New Moon. With 5 planets in your polar sign, Aries, including Venus, your sign ruler, you can bet that there are issues going on with regard to the people in your life since this comprises your 7th House of relationships. Combined with Saturn in your 1st House this implies that others may be placing a lot of demands on you when you already have numerous ones that were self-imposed. Librans like to be fair and avoid contention so you may have the tendency to either go along, or if it is truly too much to bear, you may used passive-aggressive tactics to ignore them entirely. Pluto in Capricorn is widely involved with all this as well, particularly on the homefront, where old, unresolved issues are popping up like mushrooms after a spring rain. This could involve people or it could involve your home itself. Pluto transits often bring plumbing problems and combined with Saturn this could also involve the foundation. And of course nothing ramps up the tension in a household more than having the toilet out of order. Thus, don't be surprised if this month is hectic at best and frustrating at worst. The Full Moon on May 17 is in neighboring sign, Scorpio, your 2nd House of finances, income, possessions, needs and pleasures. A Full Moon usually brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase which will turn up in one of these areas. The 2nd house also contains all those things which you value, including yourself and your body. Thus, this can be a favorable time to decide to take better care of yourself through healthy eating or a structured exercise program. However, if you're already overwhelmed due to that Saturn transit, don't pressure yourself but instead try to find time to relax and de-stress. By this time three of those planets previously in Aries are now in Taurus, your house of transformations and such as described above. Thus, the chances of encountering situations and experiences that have a strong or lasting effect are likely. Neptune recently stepped into Pisces but will retreat back into Aquarius from around August until February 2012 due to retrograde motion. After that he'll be there for the long haul. This is going to have a long-term effect on your 6th house which comprises your work, service, health and pets. Neptune can bring great inspiration and enlightenment since he allows us to see things beyond the bounds of reality. He can also dissolve what he touches or cause delusions, much as looking at something through water is distorted. Confusion is another likely effect. So if you encounter any of these impressions with regard to your work or service activities, be aware that it is Neptune, not something wrong with your brain. However, if you are in the wrong job this could help direct you toward something you'll find more satisfying. Be particularly careful with your health in the years to come as well. You may have less energy than usual and could even be rather lazy but be sure to see your doctor for anything that really gets you down or seems particularly unusual. Chances are it may be something hard to diagnose as well, but persist until you're satisfied that all is well. |
