This month's New Moon is December 13 in Sagittarius, your 11th house of groups, friends, networking, organizations, hopes, wishes and goals which makes it an excellent time to really get busy with some New Year's resolutions.  Since your solar return is coming up soon you could always start on them then, giving them a little extra punch.  If you're wondering what next year will bring, it's not too early to order your solar return report to help you plan some of those new goals.

The Full Moon/lunar eclipse on November 28th contained a yod which was described in last month's horoscope, more specifically the one comprising Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter, which is still in effect for the New Moon, though Mars and Venus have moved on.  This yod will have the relevant planets in the same degree for the winter solstice, the infamous 21 December 2012.  For all the fuss that's been made about this date, the actual chart for the solstice, a.k.a. Capricorn ingress chart, really isn't that remarkable, as you can see below.

I have seen charts which were much more ominous such as the one for Hurricane Sandy so it certainly doesn't look like one that will bring far-reaching global destruction.  For what it's worth, it does have a few things going for it which could make it an ideal time to propose to your sweetie.

Back to the New Moon, it's possible that this yod will assist you with formulating some new goals or interactions with friends or groups.  Jupiter is in your 5th house and retrograde in the sign of his debility, fellow Air Sign, Gemini.  If your birthday is right around January 28 this will create a nice trine with your natal Sun and suggests something favorable coming your way.  The 5th house includes your ego definition, children, romance, entertainment and speculation.  Jupiter should increase those activities, which isn't exactly rocket science over the holidays, unless all your friends are hunkered down in their respective bunkers.  This is also a favorable time for reviewing your speculative investments as the year winds down.  Jupiter and Mercury are opposing each other and in mutual reception, meaning each is in the sign the other rules, increasing their power as they work together from their respective venues.  This looks very favorable for information gathering, data mining, and sorting through it all as you strive to figure things out.  The base of the yod, Pluto in your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, dreams, visions, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing could be a bit more serious.  Pluto is not always unfortunate, but does suggest some serious ruminations, though it could also reveal an interest secret or insight of some description which provides some energy toward whatever is going on with your kids, romantic interests, general fun or speculations.  Your ego is also included there, so this revelation may affect that as well.  Pluto in the 12th suggests deep soul-searching or perhaps even eliminating something from your psyche which has been holding you back.

Saturn is the final member, residing in Scorpio, your 10th house of career, public image, status and reputation.  Saturn implies a large degree of seriousness and possibly hard work and responsibility operating in this part of your life.  The sextile with Pluto indicates these activities may come from some soul searching or vice versa.  Whatever it is, it will require some adjustments on your part to incorporate it into your life.  This could all come as a surprise, by the way, but make sure that you get all the facts and don't believe everything you hear until you see it in writing.

The Full Moon on December 28 has this same yod, so this energy will be around for a while.  If you haven't figured it out by then, the Sun in the mix will probably help you figure it out.  The lunation occurs in your 6th house of work, health, service and pets, so you can watch for something there as well, which makes sense with Saturn in your 10th house of career.  With Uranus forming a T-square with the Sun and Moon you can expect some surprises.  These could come in the form of thoughts and ideas, perhaps further influencing that revelation, or could involve some surprises or unexpected events related to your siblings or neighbors.  Local travel is another possibility, so be careful driving, no matter how routine or close it may be.
