Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon on February 7 is in fellow Fixed Sign, Leo, your 10th house of career, public image, status and reputation. If your birthday is within a day or so of November 11 this lunation will create a T-square with your natal Sun, increasing the chances that it will manifest in a noticeable manner in your life, most likely in the form of some sort of challenge related to your career or public life and your home. Note that the Sun is in Aquarius at this time, your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories and endings. This part of your life will thus be highlighted until February 20th, when the Sun goes into Pisces. Thoughts and communications at home should go well during this time as well given that Mercury is there as well, so be sure to spend time with family members and attend to things there which need attention. Those of you with birthdays right around October 27 may meet someone new or perhaps take an existing relationship to a new level. You may be a bit wary of taking on new responsibilities at this time, so you will have to balance the pros and cons and arrive at your own decision with regard to how much you're willing to give at this time. This is due to Saturn, who goes retrograde the same day as this Full Moon, in your 12th house of dreams, enlightenment, inspiration, institutions, confinement, seclusion, self-undoing and the collective consciousness. This is what I typically call the "angels and demons" house for obvious reasons. Saturn is in Libra, however, the sign of his exaltation, which means that his more positive side tends to come out. Being retrograde typically brings delays but this may be a good thing. Use it to ponder your dreams and aspirations, consider how you're progressing in that area and anything that you may need to structure differently. Once you get this part of your life in order, the rest often follows suit. This is not a time when you are going to make significant progress but rather tend to old matters and get them in order, removing any obstacles such that you can move forward unencumbered several months from now. Mars, your ancient sign ruler, is retrograde in Virgo, your 11th house of friends, organizations, networking, group interactions and goals, particularly those things you want to accomplish which require the assistance or cooperation of others to achieve. Mars retrograde is typically going to halt any forward progress in the house in which he resides. This can be a time of frustration, especially if you're heading in the wrong direction. This is also a time to address any unfinished business which may be holding you back. Your ambitions are likely to cool significantly as well along with your sense of direction. Sometimes you just need to rest and regroup such that you can get a clearer view of where you want to go. You will be more likely to go with the flow in this part of your life during this time as well. You are not likely the one who will be directing the crowd but rather following along, perhaps not giving a flip one way or the other. Fellow Water Sign, Pisces, has quite a bit of energy at this time which is worth noting. This is your 5th house of ego definition, children, romance, entertainment, speculation and creativity. Having this nice, dreamy and imaginative sign on this house is rather nice and currently Venus is there, at least for the Full Moon, and Neptune, Pisces' ruler, is there as well. Venus is exalted to Pisces where her love nature is more idealistic and less materialistic. This bodes well for romance, but bear in mind she goes into Aries on the 9th. Nonetheless, during her sojourn in Pisces she may do some good for this part of your life. Neptune, on the other hand, is going to be there for a long time. And I mean LONG, like until March 2025. This can greatly enhance your creativity but be aware that you need to keep a close eye on Neptune. He can bring inspiration and enlightenment but he can just as easily bring too much idealism, delusions, or deception. Fortunately, Scorpios have a strong sense of discernment, so you can probably handle such things better than others, but just remember that not everything you encounter in this part of your life will be real. Also guard against being too idealistic, especially when it comes to romance or your children, or you'll set yourself up for disappointment. The New Moon on February 21 is in Pisces, that same 5th house. If your birthday is right around October 26 the New Moon will trine your natal Sun, which could bring something new your way with regard to romance, a new creative project or some other 5th house matter. This has the potential to be quite pleasant. It is also excellent for simply enjoying yourself, but keep that Scorpio inclination toward obsession or excess under control, particularly since Neptune also rules drugs and alcoholic beverages. Expanding a relationship by going to the next level, perhaps by deepening your communications with someone and revealing more of your past, remains possible with Saturn still tidying things up in your 12th, as described above. Venus has moved into Aries, your 6th house of work, health and pets. This can bode well for you at work, even though Venus is in debility in that sign. With Mars retrograde in your 11th, you may find it difficult to get anything out of your coworkers. Venus is quincunx Mars RX which suggests the need for a change of course, either with one or more groups or perhaps your long-term goals. There is also the possibility that you need to back-off a bit and use some charm and sweet-talk to get what you want. Mars in the 11th can indicate a variety of things, including assessing whether your time and energy is well spent in this part of your life. If you're spending a bit too much time with friends or group activities, maybe you should limit those and concentrate more on your own endeavors. Uranus in your 6th, another long-term placement, is going to bring a variety of disruptions and surprises with regard to your work and possibly your health as well. Uranus is also the planet of breaking free, so bear that in mind as well if you aren't madly in love with your current job. Innovation and pioneering something new are also productive areas to use that Uranian energy. |
