Lunations and Long Term Aspects The Full Moon this month on February 7th is in Leo, your 12th house of angels and demons. This is the house which contains everything from soup to nuts, in other words dreams to delusions, transcendence to jail time, enlightenment to hospitalization. I kid you not. It is also the house which includes the collective consciousness, in other words losing your own identity in that of the masses. On the positive side, it does include revelations, which can be useful from time to time. What you need to watch for is subtle messages from the cosmos with regard to whether or not you are on the right track. During much of this month the Sun is in Aquarius, your 6th hour of work, health, service and pets. Your sign ruler, Mercury, is also in that house, actually in partile (same degree) conjunction with the Sun for this lunation. Virgo rules the 6th house of the natural zodiac so this house has special meaning for you. This is more than evident given that the majority of Virgos have a very strong work ethic, take pride in their performance, and typically work circles around just about everyone else, other than those who have other Virgo influences other than their Sun Sign. Mars went retrograde toward the end of January in your sign, which will have the strongest influence on those of you with birthday right around September 17 given that Mars stationed on your natal Sun. Mars provides us with drive and energy which will tend to dissipate when this energy is internalized by retrograde motion. This is not always a bad thing. While you may not be as ambitious as you were before, it does allow you to relax a bit and contemplate the direction you're heading. If you continue to push forward in a direction which the Universe doesn't agree with, you're likely to encounter quite a bit of frustration. Thus, if this is what you're encountering you should push "Pause" and consider what is going on. With Mars in your 1st house, this is going to relate to your situation at a personal level. Bringing this lunation into the picture, those of you born right around September 15 will most likely see the effects as a culmination of some sort, perhaps in the form of inspiration. In particular, look carefully at your job situation and whether you're being honest with yourself about where it's headed. Sometimes no matter how hard you work you may never get where you want. Now is the time to think long and hard about such things. Saturn is in your 2nd house of finances, income, and possessions as well as needs and pleasures. Saturn stationed retrograde on the day of the Full Moon, suggesting the potential for delays, obstacles and restrictions. His ongoing opposition with Jupiter implies that expanding upon something such as your education, an extended trip, a legal matter or contract, or perhaps simply your beliefs and expectations, is going to stall. A quincunx within a few minutes of being exact with Venus in your 7th house of close relationships indicates a change of direction due to developments in that part of your life. This may or may not be a good thing. Deal with the situation with both eyes open and with all the logic with which you are endowed by being an Earth Sign. This is due to the involvement of Neptune, who has recently entered Pisces, which comprises your 7th house. Neptune's influence can be deceptive, delusional, or conversely, inspirational or enlightening. Just make sure you know which one is operating for you. The New Moon on February 21 is in your polar sign and 7th house, Pisces, and will have the strongest influence on those of you born within a day or so of August 26. There is quite a cluster of planets in Pisces for this lunation, providing all sorts of Piscean energy. Much of it is in cahoots with Saturn who is retrograde in your 2nd house of finances, as noted earlier. A New Moon typically brings something new into your life or perhaps a new phase. Watch for this to occur with a close relationship. This could be your significant other, a close friend or relative, a business partner or perhaps an influential business professional will enter your life at this time. It appears this person could have a positive impact on your efforts to rework your finances, but be careful because you can't entirely trust Neptune. Remember the old adage, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Again, call upon that Earth Sign practicality and common sense. An opportunity may be lurking there, but make sure it's not a delusion before pulling out your checkbook. Those born between August 28 - September 2 should be on the alert for something which relates to your creative side, a past romantic interest, or perhaps a speculation which could prove interesting. By this time Mars will be parked on the natal Sun of those born right around September 11. If that's you, be on the lookout for a transformational change which takes you in an entirely different direction, financially or otherwise. Those with birthdays right around September 3rd should watch for changes related to home and career or status as their natal Sun falls "at the bendings" of the transiting Lunar Nodes, which frequently ushers in important events. |
