Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month the Full Moon on July 3 occurs in Capricorn, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and rebirth (literally and figuratively), debt, shared resources, and intense experiences. These effects will be strengthened by the presence of Pluto a mere four zodiacal degrees upstream from the Moon. In addition, Pluto is at the eye of a yod, a.k.a. Finger of God, or perhaps even more suitably called "The Flying Fickle Finger of Fate," to borrow from the 60s comedy show, Laugh In. The base of the yod which comprises Venus in your sign and Mercury in Leo may yield a clue or two with regard to what it's all about. First of all, if your birthday is within a day or so of May 30 then Venus is conjunct your natal Sun which will increase its effects. Venus, natural ruler of love and money, in your first house should be favorable, especially with Jupiter there as well. She is sextile Mercury, your sign ruler, in your 3rd house, where he is accidentally dignified in your house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel. Hmmmm, so let's think about this. You have Venus in your first house bringing good things your way and your sign ruler in the house your sign rules zodiacally, and the Sun in your 2nd house of income and possessions. I would say that this is rather nice! In a nutshell this looks like an excellent time to promote one of your many projects, particularly if it involves writing, given that the asteroid, Kalliope, muse of writing, is conjunct Mercury. Pluto is the modern ruler of Scorpio, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets, further tying in a project of some sort. Given that a Full Moon typically brings a culmination or shift to a new phase, if you have recently completed something now is the time to push for its success! Uranus is tied into the yod as well which brings a surprise element or sudden change. Uranus is in Aries, your 11th house of goals, another nice touch. There are some challenges out there as well which I'll get to in a moment, but for now luxuriate in the thought that this has tremendous potential to be very lucky for you. Jupiter, by the way, is on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around May 25. The South Node is on your Sun, also, which is another indicator of some important life changes coming your way. The South Node typically ushers something out of your life to make room for something new, another nice fit for a Full Moon. Mars is in Libra, your 5th house of self-expression, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation, providing energy to take action on something in this part of your life. Mars is in debility in Libra, slowing him down a bit as he factors in other views besides his own. This is not always a bad thing as additional input is often helpful; you know how two heads are better than one. He is trining Jupiter, increasing this effect, another favorable placement for promoting a creative work. Saturn is in this house as well, providing structure. Saturn fortunately just went direct after several months of retrograde motion which tends to slow things down and create various limitations. This is now over so it's time to move. Uranus is also at the apex of a T-square with this lunation, however, which suggests some surprises that bring a bit of stress. Of course any major change, no matter how fortunate, will bring some stress. Not all of it is bad. It is what typically will drive you toward something. If you're too comfortable motivation is usually pretty nil. Another square to be aware of connects Jupiter and Neptune in his dignity in Pisces, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. Of course this is another house that ties in nicely with the rest of things. Neptune is dreamy and inspirational but not always in touch with reality, which can go either way as far as being good or bad. This one is perhaps a gentle warning about getting too carried away with any success that comes your way. While enjoying anything that comes your way don't be over-confident or think it's the end all, be all. For example if you win the lottery after that you have to deal with taxes and all those shirt-tail relatives suddenly at your door asking for a loan. And sometimes fulfillment of your dreams has elements you never thought of before. Sudden fame can mean you can't even go to the grocery store or mall without being accosted by fans. It may sound good at first but once the novelty wears off it could be less than enchanting. The New Moon on July 18 is in Cancer, your 2nd house of possessions, income, comforts, needs and pleasures, the time to start something new in one of these areas. The lunation is squaring Saturn, however, which contributes some constraints. Say you did win the lottery; this would put the brakes on foolish squandering of it on entertainment or bad speculations. Jupiter is now quincunx Pluto, indicating a transformational change of direction. This could involve a relationship, partnership or someone close to you given that Jupiter rules your 7th house. Jupiter can also mitigate a somewhat ominous looking T-square that involves Uranus, Pluto and Mars. The implication is taking control of the situation is preferable to being an observer to see how things play out. Again this may involve a relationship. About that Cardinal T-square... Pluto, as previously noted, is in Capricorn, your 8th house of transformations, other people's money, sex and so forth where he is accidentally dignified. Uranus is in Aries, your 11th house of goals, and Mars is in Libra, your 5th house of creativity and so forth as defined above. This basically adds Mars to that Uranus - Pluto square, implying that taking action is going to encounter some opposition and require a fundamental change deep within you. If you suddenly reached one of your goals you are at the "Now what?" stage where you decide where to go now. When you complete a significant project there is always a bit of a letdown after the initial euphoria as you re-center yourself and figure out the next step. Nonetheless, there is favorable potential here. Even if your life in in chaos the implications behind these aspects should work to your advantage at some point. It actually looks like a rather interesting, exciting and good month. |
