Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month starts out with a Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse on June 4th which occurs in Sagittarius, your 8th house of transformations, intense experiences, debt, sex, death and rebirth, shared resources, inheritances and so on. If your birthday is right around May 5th you may have some interesting situations arise at this time, or actually in the next few months given that eclipse influences hang around quite a bit longer than the usual garden-variety eclipse. Remember that Lunar eclipses typically operate on the emotional plane whereas solar eclipses are more likely to trigger specific events. The aspects accompanying the eclipse are not particularly friendly. However, their impact on you personally can only be determined by comparing them with your natal chart or one of the other various charts active at any given time such as your secondary progressed, solar return, planetary return charts and so forth. For those of you who have moved a significant distance from where you were born, your relocated chart is also very relevant for what's transpiring in your life. Mars in Virgo, your 5th house of ego development, children, romance, entertainment, creativity and speculation, is forming a T-square with the Sun/Moon which could bring about a challenge of some description for you to deal with. The Sun is in Gemini, your 2nd house of finances, income, comforts and possessions, and the Moon is in Sagittarius, your 8th house of transformations and such as noted above. This implies that these matters are likely to be the focus of any influences which will be further complicated by something going on with someone or something in your 5th, such as children, a creative endeavor or perhaps an investment. Thus, it might be a good idea to brace yourself, even though you typically handle your money well, because there could be something coming your way. Thus, discretional spending right now, if you think you're in good shape, should probably be deferred, just in case. Most Taurus types are relatively patient, so especially if it affects your finances, it shouldn't be that much of a problem to wait and see. Your sign ruler, Venus, is retrograde and conjunct the Sun for the eclipse. In fact, a week or so later Venus will transit the Sun such that she can be seen as a small black dot moving across in front of it with suitable equipment. After Venus passes the Sun she will become the morning star as opposed to the evening star and thus become the Goddess of War as opposed to the Goddess of Love. This suggests that it's a time to put on your armor and defend something or someone you love which most likely resides in your 2nd house, i.e. your money, comforts and pleasures. This pertains to the T-square above given that she is also squaring Mars. Therefore, whatever happens, you have your sign ruler supporting your efforts to look after your own interests. There is a nice trine from Mercury, also in your money house, and Saturn in Libra, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets. This suggests that you may receive word pertaining to something at work which also influences your income. For example, you may be given more responsibilities at work but also be given a raise. This is also a favorable time to approach your boss about an increase. Make sure you really deserve it, though, or you may not be received very well. Keep your goals realistic and within reach or you may be setting yourself up for disappointment. One long-term aspect to watch out for, which will last the rest of this year, is a square between Pluto and Uranus. Pluto is the god of the Underworld and he's transiting fellow Earth sign, Capricorn, your 9th house of higher learning, legal matters, philosophy of life, beliefs and expectations, religion, politics, long-distance travel, other cultures and relocation. Pluto is going to be hanging out in that sign for a good many years so this will be an ongoing influence which is most noticeable when he aspects something in one of your charts. Currently, if your birthday is within a day or so of April 28, he is trining your Sun, which should bring something significant your way in this part of your life. This may be a time when you completely eliminate old beliefs in favor of new ones. Uranus in Aries, your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing could be part of this by bringing something unexpected into this part of your life, perhaps a major flash of inspiration, which forces you to examine your beliefs and ultimately make some major changes. Thus, it will ultimately turn out to your advantage but may not be entirely comfortable at first. The New Moon on June 19 is in Gemini like it was last month which is a bit unusual. However, the solar eclipse on May 20 was a 00:21 Gemini and this one is at 28:43, which illustrates the typical lunar cycle of approximately 28 days given that the Sun moves approximately one zodiacal degree per day. There is a whole cluster of planets in Gemini for this lunation bringing even more influence to your 2nd house of income, possessions and so forth. Venus retrograde is now in full battle regalia and quincunx Pluto which may relate to those beliefs you'll be revamping and thus bring about a change of course of some description. Again, this is likely to be precipitated by something that takes you by surprise, though it could simply be a major "Aha!" moment. Obtaining some inspiration with regard to your goals or organizational involvement is likely but make sure that you aren't selfish in your motives. Mercury is now sextile Mars, denoting an opportunity to pursue a new idea that pertains to your creative endeavors or perhaps a child or love interest. Mercury is squaring Saturn, however, suggesting this activity may either conflict with your work responsibilities and thus require some effort to work everything out.
