Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon on March 8 is in fellow Mutable Sign, Virgo, your 4th house of memories, endings, home environment and cultural roots indicating an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase in some part of your life. If your birthday is right around June 9th this will create a T-square with your Natal Sun at the apex, suggesting the potential for conflict or perhaps simply establishing balance between home and career. With the Sun transiting Pisces, your 10th house of career, reputation and public image it is very possible that you've seen some significant action in this part of your life which may be taking a lot of your time and energy. Of course you generally have lots of energy, at least of the mental variety, but all this activity may be wearing on those around you. There are two aspect patterns associated with this lunation which may lend some clues for what to watch for. One is a Grand Earth Trine linking retrograde Mars in Virgo, Pluto in Capricorn and Jupiter in Taurus which comprise your 4th, 8th and 12th houses respectively. These are known as the "endings" houses or psychic trinity where deep and meaningful development occurs. These are where we absorb the meaning of life at an emotional and psychological level. With Mars retrograde in the 4th look for something to be malfunctioning at home. This could be on the material plane such as an appliance or it could be passive aggressive behavior on the part of someone at home. It indicates that something needs to be resolved or reworked though you may not fully understand what it is until mid-April. Pluto is in accidental dignity in the 8th giving him extra transformational power. He is going to be in that house for several years so you can expect to encounter a variety of intense, life-changing experiences during that time. The 8th comprises such things as transformations in general, sex, death and rebirth, debt, shared resources and other people's money. Obviously this is a rather broad playing field which yields numerous options. This is also the house where taxes reside so make sure you behave yourself and not get too creative with your income tax return because this could predispose you to an audit. Jupiter in the 12th house of angels and demons indicates an expansion in your spiritual development. This is where enlightenment, inspiration, dreams, transcendence, the collective consciousness, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing reside. Jupiter is a generally benefic planet who seldom does much harm though there is some element of risk with him connected with two malefics like Mars and Pluto given that he does expand what he touches. Putting these three planets together with an easy flow of energy between them is thus going to manifest at a life-changing level. While it could be on the material plane, such as buying a house, for example, it could also indicate deep processing of past events or situations. The driver is likely to be Mars given that he is undoubtedly stirring up something that needs to be reworked or rearranged. Another possibility is that news or information may arise suddenly that sets it all in motion and precipitates a transformational change. Another aspect pattern comprises a Triangle of Potential involving Venus, Saturn and Neptune. Venus is in dignity in Taurus, your 12th house; Saturn is exalted in fellow Air Sign, Libra, your 5th house and Neptune is in dignity in Pisces, your 10th house. Having all three planets are in a sign where they function well is a good indication this can work in your favor. The opposition between Venus and Saturn represents a conflict or need for balance between your quest for spiritual enlightenment and ego definition or some other 5th house element. This is where your ego, creativity, children, romantic interests, entertainment and speculation hang out. Saturn retrograde in that venue suggests the need to restructure something in that part of your life. Venus in your 12th is a nice placement and Jupiter is in that same house encouraging expansion which can provide favorable happenings with regard to your spiritual self with Saturn there to help you integrate them into your creative expression. This is not necessarily a difficult opposition but simply an attempt to balance these parts of your life. Neptune, which rules the zodiacal 12th, is the mediator in this aspect with the power to help balance the opposition. In his dignity in Pisces he can provide vast stores of insights and inspiration from 10th house of career. Neptune is not typically considered a planet to stabilize you but it appears that an influx of enlightenment or inspiration from your career or public life will further enhance your spirituality generally and help in restructuring your ego or other 5th house endeavor on your plate at this time. The New Moon on March 22 is in Aries, your 11th house of friends, organizations, groups, networking and goals. Perhaps that transformational change will help bring something entirely new into your life whether it's a friend, involvement with a new group or goal. There is a whole lot of energy in Aries at this time with the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Uranus all in residence but the fact that Mercury is retrograde suggests it's going to stir up the need to rework, edit, reconsider or re-evaluate something. With those four cosmic entities in close proximity it appears that unexpected news or information will put you back to square one with regard to something in this particular house. The Grand Trine is still in effect so this could also be a new development that applies to that. Retrograde Mars is opposing Neptune at this time which is worth considering as well. If Mars is stirring up something at home or perhaps related to memories or simply signaling the need to end something, Neptune may be causing so much inspiration in your career that it is keeping you from seeing or addressing what needs to be done. The trine from Neptune to Saturn, however, suggests a flow of inspiration to your creative expression which may help you identify what's going on and take care of business. With both Mercury and Mars retrograde it's going to be slow going for a while. Just bear in mind that something is in the process of changing at the core level and you may need to rethink or reconsider any new goals until you can resolve it. |
