Lunations and Long Term Aspects

The Full Moon this month on March 8 is in your Sign which suggests an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase which will be the strongest for those of you with a birthday right around September 11.  Given that this is occurring in your 1st house it is going to apply to you personally.  With the Sun in your polar sign, Pisces, which is your 7th house of relationships, this implies it may have something to do with one of those.  Remember in an astrological context the 7th includes not only your significant other but your business partners, close friends and relatives, cliental if you have your own business, competitors and professionals with whom you interact one-on-one.  This lunation may bring some unexpected news, thoughts or information which gives everything a kick start.

This lunation comes with a rather nice Grand Earth Trine which will be in effect most of the month, at least through the New Moon.  The planets involved are Mars in Virgo, Pluto in Capricorn and Jupiter in Taurus.  Retrograde Mars in your 1st house is suggesting you need to do something differently, perhaps even redoing something.  In your 1st house look to your personal methodology and how you handle certain situations.  If you recently did something which is bothering you in some way then that is probably what you are supposed to revisit.  The trine to Pluto in your 4th house which comprises memories, home environment, cultural roots and endings gives an additional clue.  This placement is all about resolving past issues, eliminating those things you no longer need, such as cleaning out the attic or garage, and can even refer to the need for home maintenance.  Jupiter in your 9th of beliefs and expectations, legal matters, higher learning, religion, politics, long-distance travel and relocation points toward something in this part of your life.  One possibility is that you are trying to resolve a situation with someone close to you which is going to require you to make a few changes and perhaps expand your beliefs and expectations.

Another aspect pattern known as a Triangle of Potential is also present which involves an opposition mitigated by a sextile and trine, providing the means to manage or balance the two opposing planets.  The opposition involves Venus in Taurus, your 9th house which was described above and Saturn in Libra.  Venus is in dignity in Taurus and Saturn exalted in Libra which allows these two planets to operate in a clear manner.  Libra is your 2nd house of income, possessions, self-esteem, finances, comforts, needs and pleasures.  Saturn's retrograde status there suggests you should restructure something in this part of your life with Venus indicating that it may involve your beliefs and expectations or some other 9th house issue.  Neptune in Pisces, sign of his dignity, is the mediating planet in your 7th house.  This suggests that someone close to you may be able to provide the inspiration you need to figure out how to handle those other matters.  With Venus and Jupiter both in your 9th this should have an expansive and positive effect given that both these planets are considered benefic.

The New Moon on March 22 is in Aries, your 8th house of transformations, death and regeneration, debt, shared resources, sex, and intense experiences that change you in some way.  The Grand Earth Trine is still in effect, suggesting that it will take some time to resolve whatever it is pointing toward in your life.  This lunation may bring some new insights to help you resolve it.  Both the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Uranus are all in Aries providing a lot of energy to a very energetic sign, especially since they are clustered together tightly enough to constitute one big conjunction that points toward some surprises or unexpected events.  Mercury, your sign ruler, is retrograde by this time which suggests the sudden need to rethink something.

Meanwhile, as noted earlier, Mars is still retrograde which indicates the possible need to redo something so between Mercury RX and Mars RX moving forward isn't very likely at this time.  This, of course, is going to be frustrating because you would prefer not to mess with old issues.  However, you are also enough of a perfectionist that you also like to do things "right."  Maybe this is why your sign ruler, Mercury, goes retrograde at least three times a year, so you can rethink and readdress various issues so you can get them right.

Neptune is going to be in Pisces, your 7th house of relationships, for a long, long time.  His influence is likely to be the strongest now as he enters the sign and then dissipate a bit from there, even though the influence will remain in the form of a lot of psychic and inspirational energy emanating from that part of the zodiac.  This can bring a dreamy quality to your relationships but just as easily make you too idealistic, which fits right in with being a perfectionist at heart.  People, however, are never perfect.  It may also bring confusion or deception such that you don't see things as they really are.  The opposition between Neptune and Mars for the New Moon imply that perhaps you didn't see something clearly with regard to someone else and you need to redo whatever occurred or rethink your behavior.  The trine between retrograde Saturn and Neptune can provide some help in restructuring that 2nd house matter, which could just being finding more time to relax, knowing that Virgos tend to be workaholics which can cause all sorts of relationship problems.  At any rate, something in here should sound familiar and help point you in the right direction.

If your birthday is between August 28 - 31 your natal Sun is "at the bendings" of the lunar nodes, suggesting an important life change may be on the way.  With retrograde Mars approximately conjunct your natal Sun as well, this implies that what ever action you ultimately take is going to be important so give it plenty of consideration.
