Virgo Horoscope

[NOTE:--Last month when I wrote these horoscopes during that Piscean convention and Mercury retrograde it is now clear that all that cosmic humidity definitely had its effect. I noticed, for example, that the header for Virgo, of all signs, was WRONG, and listed February's stats. I am astounded none of you pointed that out! Apparently you were as spaced out as I was, though I suspect the pdf version was correct. I also had the Full Moon listed as occurring in Aries when it was actually Libra. I suppose if none of you caught it then it was pretty unlikely anyone else would. :-D]

The New Moon this month on April 10 is in Aries, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, shared resources, things you keep hidden or suppress, debt and intense experiences. This implies that something new will come into your life which is going to relate to one of these areas and have lasting effects. You might want to think about whether April tends to be a significant month for you since this occurs each year. The lunation is accompanied by Mars and Venus, conjunct with each other as well as the lunation, which certainly has a variety of sexual connotations in this particular house. Mars rules Aries so is in dignity and fully operational there. A note of caution, however, that Mars in the 8th can predispose you to accidents or taking action in a way that has unfortunate consequences. This is a classic situation where looking before you leap is definitely a good idea. Venus, ruler of your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, philosophy of life, religion, politics, legal matters, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation as well as your 2nd of finances, income, possessions, needs and pleasures draws matters related to those things in as well. This is a time to take a close look at these areas for anything that could benefit from some new insights. These could come through conversations with those close to you.

Uranus is in this house for the long-haul and could have a disruptive influence. His energy is also associated with innovation, freedom, breaking free, breakthroughs, disturbances and rebellion. If there is something holding you back which requires a significant personal transformation before you can change it, this should help that occur at some point. If your birthday is right around September 2nd now could conceivably be that time. Uranus is in a closed loop aspect pattern with Saturn and Pluto. Saturn is in Scorpio, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel where he is currently retrograde which implies restructuring something in this part of your life. You are not likely to know what it is until July or so but something is rumbling around in your subconscious you need to address. When you do it's likely to have a transformational effect that facilitates a change of course, particularly given Pluto's involvement from your 5th house which includes creativity, ego definition, romance, children, entertainment and speculation. One possibility is restructuring your life so you have more time for the things you enjoy the most which requires some major changes in how you currently approach your obligations. Remember that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy and Virgos are definitely inclined to be workaholics. Maybe it's time to think about enjoying life a bit more?

Jupiter in fellow Mutable Sign, Gemini, is residing in your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status where he should be having an expansive effect. He may also help you see the big picture, something that is not always easy for a sign that thrives on details. His quincunx with Pluto also implies an adjustment or change of course that changes you in some way. Take a close look at your 5th house as defined above for ideas where that may manifest.

The Sun is in fellow Earth Sign, Taurus, your 9th house of beliefs and conjunct Mars which has connotations for being somewhat forceful with regard to your beliefs, whatever they may be. It could also relate to taking action on your beliefs as opposed to giving them lip-service only. This combination of energies requires balance and suggests adopting a new thought process which will ultimately congeal into new or modified beliefs. This could result in more self-confidence if properly managed. Inspiration can come from someone close to you and help you figure it all out, so don't isolate yourself at this time but discuss what comes into your head with those you know and trust.
