Aquarius Horoscope

This is another busy month astrologically and could represent a continuation of whatever began last month, specifically with that Grand Sextile on July 29. Besides the usual lunations this month has a Grand Square a.k.a. Grand Cross which also includes a somewhat sloppy Grand Sextile if you use medieval orbs, which means being more liberal with the number of degrees allowed to still consider an aspect viable. You also get a bonus this month, the second Full Moon in your sign within a month, which doesn't happen that often.

The New Moon on August 6 is in your polar sign, Leo, and 7th house of close relationships which includes your significant other, close friends an relatives, business partners, business professionals, cliental, competitors and open enemies (as opposed to hidden enemies which are 12th house). Keep an eye out for someone new to come into your life or perhaps an existing relationship to shift to a new level. If your birthday is right around February 3rd this lunation opposes your natal Sun and will have a stronger influence. The lunation trines Uranus, your modern sign ruler, which is in Aries, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel with Uranus a major player in a T-square which involves Pluto and Jupiter. I know if you're not an astrologer you're probably lost so I'll explain. Uranus is the planet of innovation, freedom, rebellion, technology, breakthroughs, disruptions, disturbances and surprises. While he transits your house of thoughts you can expect these themes to occur quite regularly. While you may come up with a million-dollar idea you are also likely to be more inclined toward independence, doing your own thing, and perhaps encountering various unexpected events involving your siblings and neighbors.

Pluto is in your 12th house which includes spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, the collective consciousness, your subconscious, dreams, visions, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing. While Pluto is in that venue, which will be quite a long time, he will be flushing out all sorts of things in this part of your life since he is the planet of eliminating what you no longer need, exposing corruption, power and control. You may find that various individual in a position of power over you are hidden enemies during this time. These could also be a projection of your own subconscious thoughts where you want power and control yourself, which of course ties into what Uranus is encouraging and tied into Pluto via a square, an aspect that typically brings a tension or a challenge. This square between these two is going to phase in and out of orb over the next few years. It will be exact again on November 1. From May 16 - June 2 of this year it was partile, meaning each planet was in the same degree of its respective sign, making it very strong. You might want to consider what was going on in your life at that time as a potential indicator of what may recur.

This month, on top of the Uranus - Pluto square, Jupiter has also joined in to oppose Pluto and square Uranus forming a T-square which on the astrological chart appears as a closed right triangle. Jupiter is in Cancer, sign of his exaltation, where he can function to full efficiency. This is your 6th house of work, service, health and pets. This does not bode too well for your job situation due to the connection with Uranus and Pluto but will once he moves out of orb. Jupiter inflates and expands what he touches, especially in Cancer, but currently he's exaggerating the effects of Uranus and Pluto. Uh, oh, probably not a good thing for your popularity at work. It could have unfortunate health effects, too, particularly if you're prone to emotionally based illnesses. Considering that the Moon rules this house that is highly likely. So, if you've been plagued with headaches, stomach upsets or other maladies, these aspects are probably part of the problem. Mars is in Cancer, also, sign of his fall, where he sometimes can operate like a temper tantrum when his natural drive is tied into so much emotional energy. He was part of that T-square not long ago and when Jupiter and Mars were conjunct you could have seen some issues, which was at its strongest between July 21 & 22 but within orb since July 16 with the conjunction just now starting to separate. Mars can cause inflammation in your body when in your 6th house and it's likely you have felt rather aggressive and irritable, especially with regard to work or service activities. It's a lot of energy for getting things done, but not necessarily good for your popularity with coworkers or bosses. Mercury in Cancer probably encouraged you to speak up about it, too.

Jupiter is doing double duty these days because he's not only part of the above-mentioned T-square but also part of that long-term Grand Water Trine which has been out there since last month as well. The other planetary parties involved are Neptune and Saturn, your traditional ruler, which came out of several months of retrograde last month. First of all, Water signs tend to be very emotional and this would encourage a strong flow between the planets, signs and houses involved. Neptune is in Pisces, your 2nd house of finances, income, possessions, needs and pleasures. Neptune is dreamy, idealistic, prone to fantasy and escape as well as often unrealistic. On the positive side, however, he can help you visualize what you want and need and draw it to you using the right techniques, such as those taught by Dr. Robert Anthony (see the above link to The Secret of Deliberate Creation, which I highly recommend because I've used it successfully.) Jupiter trining Neptune in your 6th house could bring you additional income from work, at least until he got in cahoots with Pluto and Uranus and probably messed things up a bit. Saturn is in Scorpio, a fellow Fixed sign and your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. Now that he's no longer retrograde this is a time for rebuilding something related to you career or status. The 2nd, 6th and 10th houses are known as the Substance houses since they involve income, work and career, respectively. However, considering all the irritations relative to the T-square, this could have manifested as negative emotions if you were not happy with the status quo. The good news is that recognizing what you want versus what you don't want can be good motivation to make needed changes.

The Full Moon on August 20 is in your sign, as it was last month. It will be on top of your natal Sun if your birthday is right around February 17. A Full Moon typically brings a culmination, ending or shift to a new phase. By this time the Grand Trine is gone but the T-square remains, so all the effects described above are still active, like it or not. The Sun is in your house of close relationships along with Mercury, ruler of your 5th house of creativity and romance as well as your 8th of transformations, sex, death and rebirth, debt, shared resources, things you suppress and intense experiences. Talking through your various frustrations with those close to you is thus favored during this time, which is certainly better than holding it all inside, which can promote an explosion, which, by the way, is another thing ruled by Uranus. Venus is in your 9th, making it a favorable time to look at your beliefs and expectations and work at building a positive outlook. This lunation can also help direct you to a new path for earning money and rebuilding your career in a more favorable direction. Venus is moving into opposition to Uranus which can bring some innovative ideas for making money but balancing them with your expectations to keep them realistic is essential.

So, as if that's not already enough to deal with, there's the Grand Square on August 25 along with a whole lot of other cosmic noise. The planets are distributed in 8 different signs which brings a whole lot of different energies together as it is, then most of them are connected, albeit loosely, giving this the potential to be quite intense. If your birthday is right around January 26 - 30 you are most likely to feel a bit of a blast from this configuration, but fortunately not the strongest, which will most likely be the Cardinal signs whose Sun matches up with one of the planets involved in the Grand Cross. These are Uranus, Jupiter, Venus and Pluto. You probably recognize three of them from the T-square so those effects remain with the addition of Venus in fellow Air sign, Libra, your 9th house of beliefs and expectations. This could thus present a bit of a crisis where what you think you're going to get isn't even close to reality. It could also be a sanity check regarding what it's going to take to get what you want. There are two mystic rectangles which often present an either/or situation where you have to make a choice, often between two positive options other than the fact they'll be mutually exclusive, i.e. where you can't have your cake and eat it, too. Oppositions point toward balancing your beliefs with your thoughts, living within your means, and making up your mind to start something new related to your career or status.

Needless to say, this month has the potential to be not only significant but possibly intense. Guard your health, relax, keep things in perspective and start putting together a plan of action to go after what you want most in life. Get all your ducks in a row now because next month the New Moon will be in your 8th house of transformations and life-changing experiences which may be exactly what you need to get started in that new direction.
