Lunations and Long-term Aspects

First of all, note that two planets go retrograde this month which you need to know about.  Saturn goes RX on the 18th and Mercury on the 23rd.  Saturn is is fellow Water Sign, Scorpio, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, philosophy of life, higher learning, religion, politics, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation.  If your birthday is right around March 2 this is likely to be more noticeable.  Saturn retrograde generally operates on the subconscious level, stirring up something that needs to be rebuilt or restructured.  In this case that is likely to be something associated with your belief system.  If you're in the midst of doing something like move a long distance, then it clearly relates to that, but examining your view of society and how you interact with it appears to be the main emphasis.  Letting go of old beliefs, which are likely to be out-dated and no longer applicable to your life, is not always easy.  Saturn is in a long-term relationship with Pluto which will help exhume anything of that nature.  You may not be aware of what is going on other than perhaps feeling a bit uncomfortable or restless.  When the retrograde period ends in July, however, it should be apparent what needs to be done.

Mercury goes retrograde on the 23rd and as you probably already know, this can be a rather irritating spell which comes usually around three or occasionally four times a year.  This is when cell phones, computers, internet connections, cable TV and even conversations tend to be the proverbial trainwreck.  Mercury rules their function and when he is amiss they are, too.  Whatever you do, don't buy something of this description during this time.  Wait until he goes direct, or better yet, until the shadow period is over.  Par for the course, things of that nature are also more likely to break down at this time which means you'll simply wind up with another problem.  If possible, rent whatever it happens to be or do without or you may live to regret it.  My refrigerator went out during Mercury RX one time so I lived out of an ice chest until he went direct.  I didn't wait until the shadow was over because, as you can imagine, three weeks with no fridge was quite enough, especially when you live 15 miles from town like I do.  The new fridge works okay but it makes all sorts of funny noises, as if it's haunted, and the handle of the freezer tends to fall off.  So, you get the idea. 

It just so happens that Mercury happens to be in your sign for the entire duration of the RX period.  This makes it even more interesting since he is in both debility AND fall in your sign where his logic, precision and functionality lose their orientation.  As a Pisces you are probably saying, "So what's the big deal?" and frankly, for you, this may be entirely unnoticeable.  With Mercury entirely out of commission inspiration and visions from other dimensions can flow freely and you may feel as if you have at long last found Nirvana.  This will be especially likely if your birthday is right around March 11.  There is quite a convention in Pisces this month, as I'll get into later, so there will be a preponderance of Piscean vibes that could feel like anything from doing shots in a hot-tub to surfing in shark-infested waters.

The New Moon on February 10 is in next-door neighboring sign, Aquarius, your 12th house of dreams, visions, enlightenment, the collective consciousness, institutions, confinement, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing, which is certainly an interesting prelude to that Pisces convention which is already getting underway.  Watch for something new to come your way in this part of your life.  It could be a challenge, perhaps related to what Saturn is up to with your beliefs, or relate to your home, past or present, in some way.  At this point Neptune, Mars and Mercury are in Pisces and they are in square with your traditional sign ruler, Jupiter, over there in logical Gemini.  This could serve to stabilize some of that Piscean energy and provide a reality check for any excursions beyond the real of reality.  Or, conversely, it could make them worse.  This voice of reason could come from someone in your household who notices that you are out there a bit these days.  Surprises of a financial nature may come along that also serve as a reality check.  Goals may need to be re-examined and reworked if the disruption is serious.

The Full Moon on February 25 is in your polar sign, Virgo, and 7th house of close relationships.  Watch for an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase of something or someone in this part of your life.  Issues at home may still be a bit tense as well with it somewhat unlikely that any issues that are operative these days have instantaneously evaporated, regardless of how much you believed they would.  A financial change of direction may be proposed which should be innovative and original for maximum success.  Some goals may still need to be changed or even abandoned at this time.  By now the Sun has joined the other planets in your sign with Venus about a sneeze away.  She will join the party the next day and be a welcome guest since she is exalted there.  She rules your 3rd house of thought and ideas as well as your 8th of transformation and will undoubtedly be very helpful in working your way through any fog that may have rolled in lately.  Be sure to take some time to meditate and ponder all that energy, which should generally feel quite comfortable, once you get past any sense of perhaps drowning.  This is YOUR sign and the energy that is imprinted on your basic nature.  Learn to recognize it, the entire spectrum, from the divine to the dark and murky depths of the briney deep.  This can be a time of renewal, increased self-knowledge and revelation that can have life-changing effects.
