Later this month two planets go retrograde that you need to be aware of since they could mess things up a bit.  Saturn goes retrograde (RX) on the 18th and Mercury on the 23rd.  Saturn is in your sign and sitting on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around November 4th.  Saturn is all about structure, discipline, planning, responsibility, authority figures, delays, limitations and boundaries, to name a few, but you get the idea.  He is a stern task master and sometimes referred to as the Lord of Karma.  He can be a firm but caring mentor, too, but a lot of that depends on how you respond to his admonitions.  When he goes RX he usually operates at the subconscious level, stirring something up that you need to work through, restructure, or redefine.  In your 1st house, and especially on your Sun, he will be right in your face reminding you to be responsible.  If you already are, then maybe he will be showing you how to take on more and progress to a higher level, perhaps a promotion or other position of authority.  Take note of the difficulties and challenges around you at this time and tune into what Saturn is telling you.  By July you should know, if not before.  Remember that all this usually plays out in the natural course of your life.  There are a few surprises out there, but Saturn usually isn't one to function in that way.

Mercury goes retrograde on the 23rd and as you probably already know if you've been reading these for a while, that is NOT the time to buy a new device that is electronic or mechanical in any manner.  In other words, buying just about anything high tech or with moving parts.  Heaven forbid if you buy something like a car or even a lawnmower.  Ironically, breakdowns are very common during this time but whatever you do don't buy a new one at this time or it will probably be a lemon.  Rent one if necessary until after Mercury goes direct and better yet, out of the shadow period.  This is likely to be a very interesting RX period due to the fact that it is occurring entirely in Pisces, sign of Mercury's debility AND fall.  In other words he doesn't like that environment and can't function to full capacity, anyway.  His precise, logical and organized energy is in a state totally antithetical to his function.  The one bright spot may be that inspiration may be in abundance. 

Remember that there are some favorable things to do during this time.  These include rethinking something, revising, editing, reconsidering, re-planning, repairing and so forth.  It's a time to go back and check your work, find the errors and refine if not perfect it.  Pisces is a fellow Water Sign and your 5th house of ego development, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation.  The dreamy character of Pisces awash in the collective consciousness works well for some of these areas and not so much for others.  In addition to Mercury there are other planets there as well contributing to the energy, or perhaps the confusion, depending on your point of view.  More on that later.  Meanwhile, be aware of the energy that is out there, some of which may be prone to delusion or illusion, watch any obsessive tendencies you may have as far as your activities, and notice how the energy feels for future reference.

The New Moon on February 10 is in Aquarius, your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings.  This implies something new coming into your life in some way or another and could show up in your 5th house defined earlier given all that energy in Pisces.  Venus is in Aquarius as well, which hints at some favorable experiences.  If you're tempted to spend money, however, Saturn is likely to remind you he's watching over your wallet, like it or not. Your traditional sign ruler, Mars, is there and he's not exactly too comfortable there, either.  If his impulsive nature comes through it could take you down a blind alley full of fog and illusions.  You may find yourself particularly drawn to entertainment that features fantasy during this time, especially if it also involves such things as vampires and mist-laden moors.  Scorpios usually have pretty good instincts so crank them up and pay attention so you don't wander off somewhere that isn't in your best interest.  Jupiter could inflate these effects even further, taking them to a transformational level.  Surprises at work are possibly commonplace by now, either in the form of a hectic pace, disruptions or even a sense of rebellion.  Those are likely to affect you as well, perhaps at a deep level.  Pay attention to what is going on around you these days because it's likely to be important preparation for things to come.

Your modern sign ruler, Pluto, is in your 3rd house of thought, ideas, siblings and neighbors which will put your already astute perception on steroids.  Later this month he will be in partile (same degree) sextile with Saturn as well as in mutual perception (each in the sign the other rules).  This sets up a powerful correspondence between them.  A sextile is usually a favorable aspect that hints at an opportunity but when you're dealing with two malefics that may not always be such a good thing since it primarily means the energy exchange is free-flowing.  If that energy isn't in your favor then you can see how it could be a bit of a problem.  However, you can handle Pluto better than any of the other signs, so it should be less of a problem for you.  If you already have control issues they are likely to be exacerbated by this aspect given that both these planets exude that kind of energy.  Please try to use it in a positive way to control yourself and your own life as opposed to anyone else.  This aspect and mutual reception will be in effect for several months to come so use it wisely.

The Full Moon on February 25 is in Virgo, your 11th house of friends, goals, organizations, groups, and networking.  This should bring a culmination, ending or shift to a new phase of something in this part of your life.  By this time there are four planets plus the asteroid, Chiron, in Pisces with Venus a sneeze away.  Thus, everything already said about this will increase toward the end of the month.  Take note of the various 5th house matters that grab your attention during this time.  Something significant is likely to occur that changes you in some way, perhaps suddenly and possibly at work.  Saturn is working with this lunation in a friendly way and may help you find some creative ways to solve any problems you're dealing with at this time.  Don't be over-confident or arrogant but try to remain as objective as possible, about yourself as well as others.  Ticking off people right now isn't a good idea, not that it is ever, but you could set yourself up for some unpleasant surprises over the next few months so being on good behavior is your best bet.
